Let's get it over with (Devlin)

Following a promotional video for XWA's next PPV Devil's Night, Overload comes back on live with Tommy Tryton standing in the middle of the ring. With mic in hand dressed in Muscled Shirt with tribal designs adorning it, Black jeans and boots. He raises his mic to address the crowd.

The last time I was in this ring was a little over a month ago in Madison Square Garden. A steel cage match against Adam Devlin. A match where the stipulation was that the winner picked the loser's next opponent. And as many of you people know, I lost that match.

The fans cheer this fact at Tommy's expense.

Yea yea yea, yuck it up, people. But the fact remains is that I'm still going to one of the four men headlining XWA's biggest PPV, XGames II. Against my fellow Headliner Scott O'Dell, Syrus The Entertainer, and the winner of The Devil's Playground match at Devil's Night. I'm in the dance, so you people can cheer and applaud me losing to Devlin all you want. I'm in, he isn't. End of story.

The fans conversely boo that fact.

But XGames is a full month away. And before I march on to become the World Champion, I want to tie up all of my lose ends. And that mainly includes this "thing" with you Adam. I know you've been sittin' on this for the last month. Waiting for XWA to go back to it's normal scheduling. Well it has. And I know you're here. So let's not waste any more time. I wanna know who my opponent is, And I wanna know now. So get your slacker ass down to this ring and let's get this over with.

You could clearly here the frustration in Tommy's voice. He brings his mic to his side and waits for the arrival of Adam.

Adam's entrance theme blares over the PA, and the Texas fans welcome him with cheer. You could see a satisfied smirk on his face as he made the walk from stage to ring, and rightly so. Adam slides into the ring, and calls for a mic to respond.

I'm not gonna kid you, Tommy. I've been reveling in this since ID08. And I spent a lot of time pondering it since getting eliminated from OTS. I wanted it to be something big. Something that not only I would get a kick out of, but the fans would enjoy also. So I sat around and thought to myself "Who could it be?" Then, it pretty much dawned on me. It could only be one man. A man that I myself have had a history with. A man that I myself has stood in this ring with. And when I did, I had to dig deeper then I ever had to beat him. So tonight, we're going to see if you can do the same. Who is this man, you wonder? Take a look this.

Adam points everyone's attention to the Jumbotron...



Willy: HOT DAAAAAAAAAAAYUM!!!

Adam grins from ear to ear at the shock on Tommy's face.

A dejected look befalls Tommy's face. Without even so much as saying another word, he simply nods, drops his mic and makes his way out of the ring.

Tony: What? He's didn't even respond. That's definitely something new.

Willy: What's there left to say? He's going up against The Colossus. The largest man in the sport! The Giant to end all giants! The...

Tony: Ok, Willy. We get it. Tommy's going to put his A-Game together tonight, that's for damn sure.

Indeed his game face was on. He would either prove tonight that he had what it takes to overcome anything thrown at him, or he'd become the victim of Adam's scheme. Failure was not an option.

[adam]

Adam watches as Tommy leaves without a word. It was definitely unexpected, but at the same time, a sign that Tommy knew exactly what his intent was. The whole start of this from Adam questioning Tommy's integrity. It would seem his latest move showed that there may still be a few shreds of it after all. Adam also starts on his way out of the ring, and Overload prepares for it's next match.
