The AT&T Center comes unglued as the entrance theme of Jimmy Ames blares over the PA...

Willy: Man!!! Will you listen to that ovation? Jimmy gets cheers anywhere we go, but here in Texas? WOW!

Tony: He's Texas' own, Buzz. Born in Stillwater not to far from San Antonio, raised in Houston. This has gotta be awesome if you're Jimmy right now.

Jimmy makes the familiar walk down the ramp, playing to the crowd every step of the way. There were "Jimmy" signs all over the place. In the front row, two hotties both sporting "Altered" J.A. Tees. Jimmy leans over the barricade and taps both of his cheeks. They follow suit by giving him a kiss on the cheek in stereo. With a grin from ear to ear, Jimmy continues to the ring. Sporting a Tony Parker Jersey, Jimmy receives a mic, and begins.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Children of all ages...JIMMY AMES...has come home.

The crowd explodes into cheer once again. It lasts for damn near a full minute as Jimmy soaks in the Texas love from his fans. He raises his mic to continue.

There's always somethin' special about coming home here to Texas. Because the Texas wrestling fans are some of the best in the world. I got my 1st start in wrestling just across the border in Mexico, 3 years ago when I was only 19 years old. 19. For the most part, my career hasn't even started yet, and I've already held two titles, and been the 1st man to hold each. I'm one of the biggest names in XWA. My star is still on the rise, and I'm not even past 25 yet. If that's not a sign of things to come for me, I don't know what is. One week ago, I proved once again why I'm the real goods by beating Ryan Blaze. And before him, I've had a few other things goin' one. A lil' spat with those Damage Inc boys which led me to kickin' Chris Cage's ass a few times. An unsuccessful run in the OTS tourney which saw me lose in round one. And a few other things as well. But tonight, I put things back in perspective. This is a home coming for me of a different light. And why is that you ask? Because I'm turning my attention to one man right now.

Brian Yang.

The crowd shows their appreciation for the brash reigning X-Gen champ with boos.

Last week, you outlasted Evan Fate by just 7 seconds in that Ironman match. But the ends justify the means, and you're still X-Gen Champion. There's just one problem though, Brian. I want the X-Gen Title back. You've had an impressive run as champion. You've knocked off Reyes, Heaven, Saizo and now Evan. But there's one guy you haven't bested yet, and that's me. But don't worry, Brian. It's not going to happen tonight. No no no, when I win the X-Gen Title, I want it to be in my hometown of Houston...at Devil's Night.

Willy: I'm likin' the sound of that!

Tonight, I'm callin' you out to this ring for a little tune-up. A sparring match if you will. I've been in the ring with you once, but it was in the X-Gen Elimination Tourney to crown the 1st champ, so I didn't get to see your best stuff. Tonight, I see it and then some. And you get to see why I'm the guy who's gonna take that title off of you in the Toyota Center.

Jimmy waits for the arrival of The X-Gen Champ Yang.

Brian Yang's theme hits the PA. But to everyone's surprise, he hobbles out onto the stage on crutches. The fans boo heavily.

Willy: What the hell is this about?

Tony: I smell shenanigans...

With a mic in hand already, Brian speaks.

As you can clearly tell ladies and gentlemen, I'm in no condition to wrestle tonight. I suffered a sprained ankle in my match against Evan Fate last week, and the XWA doctors have told me it will take at least 2 weeks before I can wrestle again. So what that means unfortunately is that I will NOT be wrestling tonight, or next week for that matter. But I will be cleared to compete at Devil's Night, were I will give you a taste of what I gave your boy Fate last week in Greece. DEFEAT!

The fans boo even more.

You've gotta be kiddin' me. This is kind convenient, don'tcha think?

That's putting it mildly, Willy. I could think of a few other choice words for it.

But don't you worry your ten gallon hat, Jimmy. I know you're looking for some action tonight. And no, not from those two hoochies who kissed you on your way down to the ring. You're looking for a match tonight, but I unfortunately can't give you one. But I do know of someone who can. In fact, when I ran into him on the way out to answer your challenge he practically begged me for it. So for your tune up match tonight, it's gonna be you...and this guy here.

Brian smiles as his new associate steps out from backstage.

Out to the stage comes Jimmy's old friend Chris Cage. He grins as the fans boo. With his own mic, Chris speaks up.

I'm really, really glad that you think your string of wins over me has been some sort of right of passage for you run at a title. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But that last thing I am is some punk's stepping stone. So when I heard that Yang was on his way out here to answer the call, I ran him down and asked him to put me in his place. Because I'm going to make absolutely certain that you're as banged up as he is come your title match at Devil's Night. When I'm done with you, an ankle sprain is gonna be the least of your worries.

Chris waits to hear Jimmy's reaction.

In the ring, Jimmy shakes his head in disbelief. He then brings his mic up once again for his response.

You've gotta be kidding me. A sprained ankle? Seriously? If you didn't wanna get your ass handed to you, you could have just said so, Yang. There's nothin' wrong with admittin' that you're scared stiff at the prospect of facing me, but feinting an injury? Dude...

...And then to top it all off. You decide you want to come to help him out, Cage. You, of all people. I mean, you'd think you'd had your fair share of me by now, but noooooooooooooooooo. What is it with you guys and lacking the mental sense to realize that you're just not good enough? I mean, you're proving it now. I came out here with real simple intentions, but you two jackasses have to come on down and try to stack the deck on me. And why? Because you both know that solo you're not good enough to get the job done. So if the two of you put your heads together you have...well...half a brain. Which is better then what you were starting out with, I guess.

The crowd cheers on Jimmy. He finishes up saying the following...

Who am I to deny a pair of blockheads their wish, eh? If that's the way it's gonna be played, I'll play it, beat it, and take the high score.

Jimmy lowers his mic once again, awaiting the reply of either man.

Yang wouldn't mince words in his response.

*Hmmmph* Like I need an excuse to duck a challenge from you. Like I have any reason to be afraid...of YOU. You seem to think because you've had all of the success that you've had in your short career that you're untouchable. We all felt like that at one time. Not saying I'm that much older then you. What I am saying is that injured or not, I'm the X-Gen Champion, as well as the best Light Heavyweight on the PLANET. And you'll get your time to get in the ring and get shown up by me, just like everyone else in the division in due time. But I should be the least of your worries. As much as I'd love to be down at ringside when Cage beats your ass, I need to spend as much time off this ankle as possible, so I'll be watching from backstage.

Brian then looks to Cage.

Try to leave enough of him for me to at least have SOME fun with at Devil's Night, eh?

[cage]

Chris responds to Brian's comment.

I'm not gonna make any promises on that one, but I'll do my best to leave him in some what of a good condition for you. *Heh heh*

[ames]

Jimmy then responds to both men's comments with a final retort of his own.

Hey! Spongebob & Patrick! Over here. It's nice and all that you guys are planning ahead and all. Contemplating my imminent doom and what not, but I hate to be the bearer of bad news...you're both in for two, piping hot slices of that good ol' Texas Humble Pie. With a tall glass of shut up juice to wash it down. I'm real good at foiling nefarious schemes. Bet your asses that whatever you think you can dish out, I'll take it and fire it right back at you. I'm takin' that title back, hook or crook, Yang. It's gonna take the 82nd Airborne and Big Red 1 to keep me from kickin' your ass. And Chris, you picked that wrong night to decide you wanted to play Devil's Advocate.

Chris simply sneers at Jimmy's final words. Instead of responding, he simply runs he thumb across his throat at him, then heads backstage to prepare for their match.

[sion]

Yang would respond however, by saying...

Oh, I've got something a little better planned then 82nd and Big Red 1, Jimmy. Just you wait and see.

Yang's music cues up, and with a cocky and satisfied grin, he heads backstage as well.

[ames]

Jimmy scowls as Yang leaves the stage. He had a bad feeling about this, but there clearly was no turning back now. He could just about imagine what Yang had in store, and it probably involved the rest of Damage Inc. But little did Yang know Jimmy had a card to play as well. Overload goes to break.
