After defeating his opponents last week, Travis was nothing but happy. He couldn't believe he actually won. And by knock out. All three men put on a hell of a fight, but Travis emerged the victor...
Bottom of a Bottle begins blairing throughout the arena. The fan favorite began to recieve thunderous cheers. He emerged through the curtains taunting for the fans. Then he began walking down the ramp, around the ring, and grabs a mic from the ring hand. He gets in the ring and begins.....
Ladies and Gentlemen, you seen it with your very eyes. Last week I not only took on two men, but defeated them as well. After taking the beating Lionheart deserved, I'll be surprised if he's even here tonight. If he's not, then Im going to give you fans a match you diserve to see here tonight. But I'll get to that in a minute.
Chris, you said if either myself or Kayn won that match, that you'd give the winner a shot at your KoC title. Well, here I am. I earned that shot by beating you like I said I would. But since you seem to not be here tonight, Im going to do something that everyone in this arena wants to see again. A one on one match. I have great respect for this man, and I am even willing to put my number 1 contendership on the line. So Kayn, how about it. You and me, one on one, for the shot at the KoC title right here tonight?
He lowers his mic and waits for the man known as Kayn to come out.... |

*After a few moments of silence, “Hammer Smashed Face” plays over the PA. The crowd erupts as Kayn walks out from behind the curtain. He looks out to the crowd, point to them, then throws his arms back, setting off his pyro. As the crowd cheers, Kayn gives a few high fives to the fans near the barrier. He walks around the ring and grabs a microphone, then climbs up into the ring. He stands face to face with Travis with a smile on his face.*
“First off, I want to say congrats on your win. That was a brutal match, and you came out on top.”
*The crowd applauds Travis and Kayn joins them. He then raises the mic and starts to speak again.*
“You know what they say about respect, that it’s ‘something that’s earned’, and you definitely earned mine last week. To step up the way you did last week, and win the match, it takes something special in a person. So I say tonight we give these fans a match, one on one, you and me.”
*The crowd erupts as Kayn accepts the match.*
“However, while it’s a generous offer, I’ll have to decline you putting your #1 contendership on the line. You fought hard for it and you absolutely earned it, so you keep it.”
Mike: ”Now that’s a true competitor Buzz. He was given another shot at the #1 contendership and he declined it.”
Buzz: ”He’s an idiot Mike, he’s looking a gift horse in the mouth. I’d take the kid up on the offer.”
*Kayn lowers his mic and waits a response from Travis.*

Kayn, it takes a real man to do what you just did. But it takes a bigger man to decline another chance at title shot. I respect your decision, and wont force you to change your mind.
He was truly surprised that a man of his status declined a chance at another title shot, especially coming from someone that earned the shot in only two matches....
So how do should we do this? Being Im offering the match, outta respect, I'll let you choose the match. Roach: These two men have great respect for each other....

*Kayn thought for a moment, having any match could definitely work to his advantage, however that’s not how Kayn works. He wants to put on the best matches he can, so after a few moments an idea came to him.*
“Well, we could go a few ways with this. I mean, we could do a hardcore match. *huge pop* Or, we could do a steel cage. *bigger pop* Or, even still… an Ironman match. *the crowd explodes* But I want to give these fans a match that they truly deserve. A match where there is only one way to win.”
*Travis has a confused look on his face as Kayn smiles and continues.*
“You have won the #1 contendership for the KoC title, but there’s another title here in XWA that has it’s own strict rules. So let’s have a match that could prepare both of us for a different future title. So if it's ok with you, and with all our great fans here in Greece, *cheap pop* I say this match will be governed under ‘Pure’ rules.”
*The crowd erupts as Kayn lowers his mic.*
Mike: ”He’s asking for a ‘Pure rules’ match. The only way to win is by pin fall, no submission, no rope breaks, no out of the ring. This will be one hell of a match if Travis accepts.”
Buzz: ”I said it before and I’ll say it again, Kayn is an idiot. He could have had a last man standing, or a cage match, and he chooses a ‘Pure rules’ match? A type of match he’s NEVER even been in. This guy needs his head checked.”
Mike: ”He’s a competitor Buzz, that’s all there is to it.”
*Kayn waits a response from Travis.*

BuZZ: He's an idiot over all else Roach.
Roach: Look at it this way. Neither men are known for their "Pure" talent...
Travis had to think about this one. He came from a world of hardcore. Destruction if you will. But Pure? He had a bit in him, but it did no good in his mind.
Im going to give a brief history lesson if I may. I come from a world filled with chaos. Never in my life have I wrestled from the "pure" side. Destruction is in my blood. To knock out, to bleed, to destroy is my nature.
The fans cheer. They know the world he's talking about. They watched him end a mans career in that world...But XWA was another. It wasn't about hardcore, and it surely wasn't about destruction...
Kayn, see my side of things, I don't back down from a challenge. I would GLADLY take you on in a world my eyes have yet to see, or to believe in for that matter. But I have a better idea. We both seek the same thing. We both have the same ambitions. So being I'm a man of respect for those who deserve it, lets show these true fans of XWA why we are who we TRULY are, and let THEM decide the match. They know what they want to see....
BuZZ: Idiot. Thats what Travis is. He could have taken this Kayns challenge, and kept it a clean fight....
Roach: He knows what he's doing. The fans pay for what they came to see, I think they should get to choose the match! |

*Kayn smiles and nods at Travis.*
“OK, let’s hear it guys. What kind of match do you want?”
*Kayn and Travis get yells from all the fans, everything from hardcore, to hell in a cell, to a diva mud wrestling match. Kayn raises the mic.*
“OK, hold on. Let’s try this a different way. Who wants to see us have a standard match?”
*Some fans cheer.*
“Alright, alright. Not much love there. How about a hardcore match?”
*More fans cheer.*
“Not bad, how about a 15 minute Ironman match?”
*The cheers get louder.*
“Pure Rules?”
*About the same level of cheers. Kayn looks at Travis and smiles.*
“How about a steel cage?”
*The crowd erupts. Kayn looks at Travis and nods.*
“Looks like we have a winner, pal. What do you say?”
*Kayn waits for a response from Travis.*

His home. Where the only thing that mattered was surviving it all. The adrenaline pumpin, the crowd going nuts. How he loved the thought of it already. He raises the Mic up to talk....
If its what the crowd wants, lets give it to em!
He couldn't wait. The respect he had for Kayn. The man that got him his first match in XWA. It would be a match to remember. Though the size difference was great, TT proved last week that size didn't matter in his world. Roach: Tonight? A cage match? I just don't believe it......
BuZZ: Both these men wanna kill each other, then let 'em do it. It won't hurt me none...

*Kayn applauded Travis. While steel cages aren't his forte, Kayn was ready to give the crowd one hell of a match. Kayn shook Travis' hand.*
"Then it's settled, I'll see you later tonight."
*With that "Hammer Smashed Face" began to play over the PA again. Kayn patted Travis on the back, then took his leave from the ring. He walked up the ramp to the stage area, giving high fives all the way up the ramp. Once he reached the stage, he turned around and looked at Travis, gave him a thumbs up, then went behind the curtain.*
