After seeing a video being run running down tonight's card. We cut back to the arena to see Brandon Payne coming down the aisle and entering the ring. Dressed in his ring attire and ready to go. The hungry challenger grabs the microphone from a nearby stage hand and then begins to speak:
No more fun and games. Tonight, I'm all 100% business. XXL ! Big man, I told you the other day. After our tag match, all bets were off. Don't expect me to go easy on you. Cause I'm coming to take your title by any means necessary !
Fans react with a thunderous roar.
Whether I have to hit you over the head with a steel chair, use outside interference, or beat you to a pulp and finish you off with my Hail to the King finisher. Either way it goes. Tonight wrestling fans. Your gonna see a new World Heavyweight Champion crowned. XXL, they say your the best big man in the business ? Quite honestly, I'd have to agree with those critics. I respect you a whole helluva lot, but right now. Respect is out the door and its all about being 'the man'. As the old saying goes: "To be the man, you gotta beat the man". I've done it once before XXL, and I'll damn sure do it all over again.
Another pop from the crowd, a bit on the neutral side however.
I'm gonna prove it to the world why I am the Wrestling Elite. The best of the best, and nothing less ! I've been in a lot of big matches, bit title matches in my career. But I must admit, this is by far my BIGGEST to date !
If you think I'm gonna come into this match being all laid back and not worrying about whats gonna happen after the 1,2,3 !? Your dead wrong. my friend. Heh.. when it comes to the World Heavyweight Championship, to me, its a simple matter of life and death.
Tonight, I'm walking into this match as the man whose challenging for the belt. But after all is said and done, after the smoke has cleared. I'm gonna walk out with 'the strap' around my waist a living LEGEND !
Three World Championship, Three Different, Yet Well Known Organizations. This will be my biggest achievement yet. All thats left to do is to get the job done. Do I think I can do it ? No. I don't think, I KNOW that I can beat you XXL. Do your best, gimme everything you've got, and win or lose. I'll shake your hand for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime.
So XXL, I know your back there listening. Come on out and lets have some fun on the mic shall we ?
Payne lowers the mic. Anticipating the arrival of the World Heavyweight Champion.

XXL's theme soon begins to play now, and the fans in Greece welcome the new and two-time World Champion as you'd expect for them to. Still in his street clothes of a signature pinstriped business suit, he high fives the fans down the aisle on the way to the ring, the coveted belt held over his shoulder.
Next he steps into the ring and he's given a microphone while the chant of XXL could be heard loud and clear. It was pretty obvious that both men were crowd favorites. The mic touches his lip and he says:
I'm back there listening to what you have to say, and I'm thinking to myself "this guy has a lot on the line. Way more than just this championship." Not too many men have the chance to do what it is that that you have the chance to do here tonight. A world champion in every company he's competed in...to say that about a person in this business is like saying that everywhere he's been, he's been one of the best.
BuZZ: That's a pretty big deal right there. Some personal history in the making tonight for the artist formerly known as Genesis.
Unfortunately the man who stands in the way of that happening goes by the name of Xander Xavier Luther. In that being said, what you see right now is something that should have been the case months ago, me standing here as the XWA World Champ. Fast forward and through all that went down, that's where I find myself right now, and right now that destiny of mines that began at XGAMES1 has finally and truly began.
There isn't any way in hell that I'm going to have this title taken away from me as fast as I won it, not again. Not if it's you, not if it's a street thug, not if it's lord Jesus Christ himself! If I'm struck down by lightning, buried six feet under and cast into the fires of Hades itself, this belt is gonna be right there with me!
The fans cheer...you could feel the intensity and the passion coming from XXL right now. He was on a different level at that point.
Roach: Some equally spirited words here tonight from the champion as was the challengers. You can tell that these two men are focussed on this match.
Everything that you said you're willing to to do to win it, I'm 10 times as willing to do to keep it, because as much as this belt would mean to you around your waist, it means that much more around mine, and it's not going anywhere tonight, no matter how hard you try to take it!

Brandon grinned for a moment at XXL. He could see the fire in his eyes. Yes... the true eyes of a champion indeed. The passion coming out of XXL's tone of voice was more then enough to get BP's blood cells pumping' through his veins:
Gotta admit, you have to appreciate a champion with that much pride and love for his championship belt. That is one thing that I can easily see that we both have in common. We both love this business and love being on top of the world.
Right outta the shoot, XXL. I agree with you 100%. Not many XWA superstars get this opportunity. Matter of fact, since day one. You can only count maybe a good handful of individuals that have made it this far. We see alot of athletes come and go from the XWA locker room. Some of them didn't live up the hype or maybe had potential to be something special, but let there own greedy ambitions get in the way of what the #1 goal is, being a team player for the XWA.
So as I stand here before you, 'champ'. Rest assure, that I am a team player, and as I alluded to earlier. You bet your ass I'm gonna do whatever it takes to get the job done and take the world title off your shoulder.
Believe me when I say this, not even the good lord can stop me from achieving my destiny.
There's an old saying from the late great Gorilla Monsoon: "They broke the mold when they made this man". In his reference to Hulk Hogan.
Well, as that statement relates to me ? I didn't break the mold, I SHATTERED it !
Cheap pop from the crowd ensues.
All I gotta say is, big man. If you don't want me take that belt away from you ? Your gonna have to beat me down to my last dying breath.
If you wanna talk about passion and desire. I am just as proud and love this sport as much as anyone else here. While I may not have been here since day one when XWA opened its doors. I am a changed man, and I care just as much for this organization as its other mainstays.
Thank the lord that I managed to change my ways before it was too late to save myself. Because about a year or so ago. I was traveling down a path that would've most certainly ended my wrestling career and quite possibly many friendships. That change, led me to coming to XWA. That very same change... led me to this night. The night that I defeat you XXL just one more time and climb back into my rightful throne as the Elite in this sport.
Big eruption from the crowd.
Tonight, is the night I take the next step into cementing my legacy. A legacy that when the time comes for me to hang up the boots. I can look back, and hopefully some of the wrestlers, promoters, fans, etc, can look at my career and know that I always gave it a 110%. That no matter what the situation was, no matter whom or what I was up against in the ring. I gave it my all and conquered everyone who stepped before me and challenged me.
I've had a quite a rocky road to travel these last three years. Lots of ups and downs, twists and turns, friends made, friends lost, but when I look in retrospect ? It was all worth the price of admission.
So XXL. You say your the 'Best Big Man in the Business' ? Tonight, I wanna see if you can prove that. As you well know. I got a ton of respect for ya, and would have your back at any given situation. But tonight, its all business my friend. Its all about the strap and I'm gonna take it from ya, straight and simple !

We all know about that long hard road you walked the last couple of years Brandon. To be honest, for a long time I didn't have any kind of respect for you. I had thought that you were nothing but another glory-hog who had come to the XWA thinking that you were going to have it easy just because of what you did in the past.
I'm not going to get into detail on that, because you know the story better than anyone-but in that story something unexpected happened. You came back knowing that you'd have a bullseye on your head and that anyone who even cared to say anything would try to destroy whatever reputation you had made for yourself.
But that didn't stop you. You built a new reputation. Genesis was dead and now it was all about Brandon Payne. Now, tonight he's three seconds away from being a world champion once again. But this isn't like last year, BP.
Last year, you're the man who ended my run as the National Champion. Lightning isn't going to strike twice tonight Payne. Just like that belt was for me then, this belt right here is a symbol of a long, hard road of my own that I walked, and of my success and survival going through it. This here is about my destiny.
XXL points out to the crowd.
These fans here in the arena and the millions watching on PPV are going to witness possibly the greatest XWA Championship match of all time tonight. In the end, the man who wins will be the man who can take more than they can dish out. There's respect now, and there'll be respect after it's all said and done. But when that bell rings like you said, it's all business...even more than that it's going to be an all-out war.
There's no doubt in my mind that you're going to be the champ one day, but that day isn't tonight. It isn't going to be Only The Strong 2008. Last year at this very event I was one of the co-winners, the first step to me winning this title the first time around. Tonight in this ring will be the night that I defend this title by beating one of the top dogs of this industry.
You might think this is your time, but this is going to be my night.

Perhaps everyone has been keeping closer tabs on me then I thought. Here I am thinking that only a select few people knew my past, apparently I was wrong (laughs).
I appreciate your honesty XXL. As funny as this sounds, I do have to agree with you. A year ago, I was a glory hog. Only out for me. Wasn't completely all my fault however. Its just the way I was brought up in our industry. You see, when you surround yourself with others who mostly are out for themselves ? You slowly begin to change and become one of them. Deep down, I knew I wasn't that kind of person. But in fact, I became my own worst enemy.
Needless to say, I became Genesis inside and out. There was no reality or fantasy. Just shades of both blended in as one being who I felt was on top of the world. I let the business go to my head and felt that I was better then everyone. I became brainwashed by those who called themselves 'the best' and let them control me. I let them guide me and.. well...
Point is..
I came into a crossroads for my career. I had to make an important decision. Either keep hanging out with the wrong crowd and continue being Genesis ? Or make a change for myself and start a new legacy. Surround myself with better people and start caring for the business that made me what I am instead of destroying it like I had been.
Well, the rest was history. Without also getting into too much. Lets just say I made the right decision. Genesis to me was no longer a character name or a gimmick, it was a cancer. The only person that could keep it from growing and getting out of control was me.
So bottom line, I made a change for the benefit of myself and everyone else.
I knew coming back here would be a challenge, both mentally and physically. I knew coming back that I'd have my work cut out for me. I was looking forward to the challenge. As I am one who loves a challenge as much as the next guy. I came in and made it my goal to do whatever I could to make myself fit in and help enhance the XWA product as much as humanly possible.
Big pop from the crowd.
Either way, I had to make the best of it and hope that in time, old wounds would heal and I would be accepted into the XWA family as everyone else has.
Gotta say, I'm happy with the results. It feels good to be Brandon Payne without carrying a burden on my shoulder anymore.
Fans give off a neutral reaction.
Listen to me rambling (laughs). Anyways XXL. You keep your destiny, I'll keep mine. You know what you have to do to beat me. I know what I have to do tonight. I'm going to put my faith into the man upstairs. Let him decide whether tonight is the night for me or if I'm destined on another time. Either way its goes, I'll continue fighting the good fight until that belt is in my hands.
