Backstage, Nathan comes into the camera shot holding a microphone. He takes no time to begin.
Well, well, well. Solstice. The hottest pay-pre-view of the summer, and rightfully so, this is the show I make my intentions clear. Pure rules. So far, in my short career, I've had two pure matches, and two dominating wins. Before my professional career, I prided myself on fighting in pure like rules. Not always the same, but under the same guide line. Tonight, thus far, I have yet to see anyone challenge the newly crowned pure champion. That's either because the main focus was Kayn and not the pure title, which ruins the belts prestige in my honest opinion.... or simply because XWA's fitness clown isn't aloud to challenge for what, the 7th time, *Hee hee*.
Magnus? A fine competitor. A man who lives, breathes, fights the pure wrestling style. That right there gains my respect. On the typical night I'd down talk my opponent, but my typical night consists of fighting the disaster, Micheal Xavier, but tonights different. Tonight I have my work in front of me, and I got to fight for the right to hold something I've been wanting to hold ever since I laid my eyes on XWA last July.
Magnus, get yourself a camera man and a microphone and leave a message after the beep, because you have yourself your first opponent.
BEEP!
And with that, Nathan walks out of the shot and the connect to his camera is lost. All that was left now was a response from the current champ.

The words are heard by the new champion and moments later his theme begins to play. He steps out onto the Solstice stage with that microphone Browne said he needed, and the Pure Title on his shoulder.
A fine competitor. That goes without saying my good man. It has been proven as I said it would be that I, Magnus Von Schwartz, would eventually show this XWA what a true competitor is. I stand before you tonight with that mission accomplished.
The crowd boos as Magnus stops to raise the spoils of his victory to the sky, holding the Pure Title up with his free hand before resting it down to his shoulder once more.
Mr. Browne, I will go as far as to say that yes...I do consider you to be a fine competitor in your own right. One of the bright young stars of the XWA. Even though you can say technically that we both are "rookies" to this company, my days in the sport go long beyond when you were but a twinkle in your father's eyes.
Still, you have shown a lot of potential. You have a go-getter attitude, you take no shortcomings and you are focused on succeeding at the highest level. There will come the time when it is that they will call Nathan Browne a champion.
Sadly, it will not be this night.
He paused to smile a confident smile before the crowd and his first challenger.
For as I said before, the Magnus era of the Pure Championship begins now. The one thing more difficult in wrestling than winning a championship is defending it, and that is a task that I aim to fulfill...for while you are beginning to etch your legacy, I am continuing mine. A part of that will be as a champion dominant and worthy enough to carry a title of this caliber, this pedigree. I will not be one of those who let it slip from my fingers just as soon as I touch it.
But fear not young Nathan, you have long and prosperous career ahead of you. There will be a time when you hold a belt high and proudly. That time has not yet come to pass.

BSHHSPSSHHHHWHHH
Static fills the screen, and slowly a picture of Nate reappears.
You're right, Magnus. Nathan Browne, the champion. Nathan Browne, the Main Eventer. It'll be said in the future, that's for sure. And whether or not I walk out of Solstice holding my first ever title belt, I still will say that TONIGHT is the night that my career truly begins. Tonight, whether I lose or win, I set myself on the path to possibly Rookie of the Year.
Magnus, I'm not going to take anything away from you. You're good, point blank. But nobody expected you to beat Kayn for the title, sort of like how nobody expects me to beat you tonight. You caught lightning in a bottle, and now it's my turn to give it a go. I'm not going to make any cocky claims like people have in the past. "I'm going to beat you so badly and take the title home tonight"....None of that shit. All I will say, is let the best man win.

I will have to correct you on one thing Mr. Browne. What you see in this ring, and what you've seen me do in this ring isn't "lightning in a bottle". It's the fire of Hades itself, and the fury of a god of war.
The crowd inside the arena continue to boo Magnus' boasting.
As I've said before, this is a new era. No, even better, a new empire that shall be built in this ring by my hand, like the great civilizations of the past. Rome. Greece. Egpyt. And I will stand as the god of this empire, only unlike those...this shall not fall by the hands of mere mortal men such as yourself.
You will need to be more than just a wrestler if you wish to win tonight young Nathan. You will need to be a warrior descending upon Olympus to challenge the might of Zeus himself! If you can manage that, then you will have deserved to hold this title more than I.
Yes, we will see indeed who the "better man" is tonight...but Nathan Browne, you will need to realize...and quickly so...that inside of this ring I am far more than just a man.
