Ladies and gentlemen, The1xwa.net is proud to present the most talked about, watched and revered wrestler in the last 10 years. The man who's changing what it means to be a Badguy in the business. The one...the only...The Franchise...Scott O'Dell.
Welcome one, welcome all...to a brand new segment on the1xwa.net called 5 questions with The Franchise. The one and ONLY time that you fans will ever get to hear what I have to say about what you think. Now I could stand here and give the whole song and dance about me having my own segment and whatnot, but why bother? Let's get to our 1st question.
QUESTION ONE!!!
Dear Scott,
I'm one of your biggest fans. Despite the fact that everyone has pegged you as being a jerk 24/7, I'm one of the few people that know that you're just being true to yourself and not selling out. What do you have to say to those people who still drink Haterade?
Tyrone, St. Lois, MS.
Well Tyrone. 1st off I wanna send you some love for actually starting things off with a relevant question. All I have to say to the many people in the business who still don't like me is...
"HI HATERS!!!"
Maybe if some of those idiots stop hating and started participating, they'd actually be something by now. About every person I've ever heard had something to say about how I conduct myself is a person who's either fallen off the radar or was never on it to begin with. And I can appreciate a person trying to sling my name around to get them some heat. But sorry, people. I'm about a Billion degrees these days. Get to close and you will get "Burned". And with that???
QUESTION TWO!!!
Dear Mr. O'Dell,
I, like many people were shocked to hear when your name wasn't mentioned to partake in last months "American Classic" match. Why did you get snubbed?
Joshua, Hartford, CT.
On the contrary, Josh. I didn't get snubbed. Of course my name was one of the names at the top of the list. I'm The Franchise...it's SUPPOSED to be at the top. No no, I had other business to take care of at ID08. And I did just that. As far as the World Title goes, no matter who holds it, Wyle, XXL, Bain, Sylk...whoever. My stamp is on that title for all time. Because I was the 1st XWA World Champion, and I'm still the only guy to hold it twice. Now if XXL manages to beat Sylky-boy come Solstice, that'll make him the 2nd ever two time World Champion. But That's only on principal on account that he didn't exactly have much of 1st run as champ now, did he? Now we all know he had to relinquish the title due to him not being able to compete after the injuries suffered by him in the assault given to him after Xgames, and that's unfortunate. But on the other hand? If you're as bad as you always say you are, you shouldn't get jumped in a parking lot. I don't care if the dude was the size of a Hummer. You're supposed to be smarter then that. But then again...no...Not even gonna make that joke, it's way to easy. To answer your question, Josh. I do have designs to be World Champion again. Whether it be via Only The Strong, or whether it be in 2009, I will hold MY title again. It's not a question of if, but a question of when.
QUESTION THREE!!!
Dear Scott,
Whatever happened to that stalker of yours???
Morton, London, U.K.
He fell off the face of the Earth, just like I said he would. Like I said in my answer to question one. People hate me because they wanna be like me. And they can't. I'm a self made Millionare, going on Billionare. I came up from nothing, wrestling in Community centers in California and Nevada to becoming THE...MAN. You've got a lot of guys in this business who've done a lot of things. But none of them have ever risen to prominence as fast as I did. And nearly two years later, I'm still ahead of the curve. Hate me for being good at what I do, 'cuz I'm better at it then you.
QUESTION FOUR!!!
Dear Scott,
With your eyes focused in the National Title, and having already beaten Van Hayden in the manner you did, bloodied and battered and still managing to get him to tap out, what do you think about Van's progress in XWA?
Sareena, Houston, TX.
There's no way you can take away from his skill. He's a warrior, that's for damn sure. There isn't many men that I have or will step in the ring with and think "I've gotta give my A-Game tonight" against. Van's earned his spot on that list. But even so, he didn't get the job done. You can be good. You can be great. You can be championship material. But it means nothing if you're not good enough to be The Franchise. When you pin my shoulders to the mat for three seconds, you've officially arrived in XWA. As much as a few other egomanicas would differ to what I say next, I'm XWA's benchmark. I'm the man who carried this company on his back when everyone and their mother said it would fold in six months. I turned the industry on it's ear, just like XWA did. Yea, there's plenty of other people who contributed to XWA's early success. Ashley Diamond, Kayn, Keith Wyle, Joey Curtis, Adam Devlin, Ryan Fierhart and so on. I might not be the face of this company, but I damn sure am the heart and soul of it. XWA Superstar Number One. And just like XWA, as I've said numerous times before, I shut up the critics, and now all that's left is the pretenders. Van's good. Real good. Good enough to be a World Champion. But his worth is about to be tested at Solstice. Can he rise to my level in championship match? *HEh HeH* We'll see, won't we?
QUESTION FIVE!!!
Dear O'Dell,
It's been a while since you and the rest of The Headliners have sided with each other. Are you guys still together or have you broken up the group?
Dan, Las Vegas, NV.
Good question, Dan. Tryton, Alston and I are still tight. We travel the country together. Just because we've ventured off into different things doesn't mean that the group is split. Oh no, not a chance. In fact, the group is even stronger then it was before hand. But to answer more clearly, "The Headliners" as you know them are in fact dead. When Alston, Ames and myself formed up the original line up, we did it to stick it to the rest of the roster. Since then, namely with the departure of Jimmy, and the addition of Tommy, the direction we've taken is different. We're not lil' boys making juvenile jokes anymore. We're men making "Man Money", flying high and riding in style. As such, we've got something new on the horizon. What that is? Can't say right now, but you'll find out after Solstice. I think you'll like the results. Well...if you're one of us that is. *HEH HEEEEEEEEH*
That's 5 questions, and I'm still The Franchise. Later losers.
