After a short commercial break. Brandon Payne is seen standing in the middle of the ring. Almost deja vu like from a week ago. He suffered a tough loss to a couple of young rookies last week on TakeDown. Although he was never really pinned. Tonight, he was looking for a fight with anybody. He didn't care who it was or what skill level they were. Payne just wanted to take his frustrations out on one unlucky soul.

With a microphone already in hand. Payne raises it up to his lips and begins to speak.

You know, its a funny thing about respect. I often would bring up the phrase: "Respect is Earned...not given !" Over the course of the last few months. Brandon Payne has been receieving very little of that.

I've been on one hell of a losing streak that I just came seem to snap. I went from being a true Wrestling Elite to being another Chet Dixon !

Fans begin to boo.

Now don't get me wrong people. I can take a loss. It happens in our sport. You win some, ya lose some. But, what has gone down with me is completely ridiculous.

Now... I've been in some major feuds this year. With the likes of Primo and Scott O'Dell. I've beaten those guys at least once, if not a couple more times respectively. Since that time, where has XWA put Brandon Payne ?

Was I put into the running for any kind of championship ?

Was I put into another huge, money making feud ?

NOOOOOO ! Instead, I was brushed to the side like some common housefly. Like, all of my hard work in these last 7-8 months didn't mean anything. But I guess thats the price you pay if your a veteran like myself.

I've been apart of this great sport for about three years now. I've payed my dues and earned my right to be looked upon as one of the greatest superstars in this business today, bar none !

During my time here. I've done nothing but bust my ass day in, day out. Almost literatly 24/7 just to make due here. Its been a long and winding road for me to get to this point. Yet here I stand, in the center of an XWA ring. Not as a champion, not as one of the companies biggest stars, but a 2nd class citizen. Taking a backseat to all of the young punks backstage who do half of what I've done, yet they get more recognition !? more fame !? more title opportunities !? Sorry, but something is pretty fucked up about that situation.

Fans give off a mixed reaction to that.

So instead of all of that. I stand here a lonely, broken, and bitter man. Bitter, because it seems like anything I do for this company. Its never good enough. Quite frankly, as much as I have enjoyed my run here. As much as I thrived and loved my wars with the likes of Primo & O'Dell. I'm almost....ALMOST.... starting to regret coming out of retirement in the first place.

Fans begin to boo. They may not like Payne or his actions in recent weeks. But they do respect the man and they each start to plead 'Please don't go'.

Like, whats the point really ? If there isn't anything for me here. Why be here ?

So XWA. I'm going to challenge YOU for a change. Give me something, someone, somebody. Give me a challenge. Give me something to get up the next morning and wanna come back to work for XWA and recapture some of that fire that I once had inside.

In a nutshell. XWA, Superstars, Powers That Be... I wanna know just one thing and one thing only....

The entrance theme of one Ethan Bain booms over the PA. The crowd explodes in cheer as the former World Champ steps out from backstage. With a smirk on his face, he calmly makes his way down to the ring. Bain steps over the ropes in typical Bain fashion, and leers at Brandon for a moment. He then walks over to the ropes and calls for a mic. With the crowd cheering on, he speaks to the masses.

Before I get to you, Brandon, let me address another guy. That guy is Magnus Von Schwartz. Last week, you managed to get one over on me. And I heard what you said when ya' came out and challenged Kayn for the Pure Title. I'll put it to you like this. You were good enough last week to avoid gettin' counted. But next time you can bet your ass that you'll be another notch on my gun post. And if you're Pure champ when that time comes? Icing on the cake, pal.

Ethan then turns his focus to Payne.

Now, let's get to you. Brandon Payne. The LEGENDARY Brandon Payne. The INFAMOUS Brandon Payne. The man they once called the "King Of Controversy". A man who's both respected and hated all at once. Not a bad accomplishment if you ask me. You ask for a challenge? You're LOOKING AT HIM. And to answer the next question? The one about where you stand. You stand where ever the hell you make room for yourself. When I came into XWA last year, I was a no body. Just another young gun looking to make a name for himself. But I only ended up 2007 Rookie Of The Year, and THEN XWA World Champion. And why? Because I did it my own damn way. I went out, and I dominated. I made my name in the one place it matters most. In the ring. You can talk a good one all you want, but in the end, it's what you do in this ring that tells your worth. And quite frankly, all I'm hearing is a guy who had high hopes, depressed cuz he got a double shot of reality. You make your own fortunes in this ring. And tonight, you've got wto options.

Beat me, or BE COUNTED.

Ethan was your typical house of fire. He waits for Brandon's reply.

HeHe... you know something ? I think I'm beginning to feel better already. THIS must be my lucky day. Your the great Ethan Bain I've heard so much about, and have actually been impressed with. Must say, you look much smaller in person. I guess the camera can add a few pounds to your frame eh ?

But seriously. I'm very happy to see at least somebody had the stones to come out here and challenge me. Gotta say, I've been looking forward to this fight. Your victories over the likes of O'Dell for example. Have been more then impressive.

Bottom line, from one 'old school' veteran to another veteran. You deserve the spot that your in. Its just too bad that your run is about to come to an end.

Payne gets that look in his eyes. Seeing a worthy opponent for the first time since his battles with O'Dell & Primo got his blood cells pumpin'. All Payne really needed was just a little motivation and a good opponent to fight with.

So straight to the point Bain. I've got no problem facing you tonight in this very ring. You've MORE then earned my respect in these past few months. Hopefully after our battle is done. I've earned yours.

Payne lowers the mic.
