To get what one wants...(Davis/Finesse)

As Bathory's "In Nominee Satanas" plays, the Las Vegas fans boo loudly as one of the most hated men in the business makes his way to the ring. You'd expect he'd be in a foul mood having lost last week to the XWA Rookie Finesse, but such wasn't the case. He was in fact the complete opposite. Primo's handed a mic upon entering the ring, and wastes no time in addressing his plans for the evening.

Several interesting things occurred last week. The 1st being that a new man has stepped into the range of my "radar". And that man's name is Finesse Simmons. I witnessed bits and pieces of brilliance from him in The American Classic, And of course last week, I witnessed it 1st hand when he managed to do what very few men have in my career. Beat me in a one on one contest. That garners my immediate attention. The 2nd thing that occurred was my long time associate Godlieve Van Der Sar finally getting a monkey off of his back, by way of not just defeating Romeo Davis, but demolishing him. Needless to say, Romeo's luck ran out. Now you could say it was luck, or you could say that Romeo's in actuality a pretty competent wrestler. But I doubt it's the latter, because Mr. Davis also said last week that he wants...of all possible things, to step in the ring with me again at Solstice.

The fans cheer on the prospect of Davis Vs. Primo round II.

Yes, yes...you all would love to see that wouldn't you? Well I hate to break it to you all, but I wrestle for competition. For sport. And there is no sport in beating Romeo Davis again. It serves me no purpose. None. However, I'm a fair and just man. Which leads me to my idea for tonight. Davis wants to face me and vindicate the beating I gave him at MayDay. But I don't believe he's worth the effort. So how do we rectify this? Simple. Tonight, Romeo Davis will have a chance to convince me that I should give him a 2nd crack at me. And all he has to do is defeat one man, one on one, in a standard, fair...wrestling match.














A dramatic pause...




















And that man, is FINESSE SIMMONS.

A thunderous volley of boos rain out from the crowd. Primo grins from ear to ear.

You've gotta be kidding me! Romeo is gonna have to beat Finesse? Just when you think this guy's stooped as low as it gets, he goes even lower.

What a jerk. Putting two guys who have absolutely nothing against each other in a spot like this, and dangling a potential match over Davis like a damn carrot.

Oh, and no need to come out, Gentlemen. I've got another issue to take care of. I'm looking forward to competitive contest.

With a smile on his face, and boos continually showering him from the fans, Primo leaves the ring. Prep begins for the next match soon after.

[Romeo Davis]

Backstage is where Romeo Davis had been found. There was no one but a camera man standing before Romeo with the camera rolling. Primo had already made his way backstage, but Romeo didn’t care he was to address everyone from the spot in which he was located.

I knew something like this was gonna happen. Ya know finally Godlieve was able to beat me last week. Big time props to that fella, but now that is the past and it’s time to look to the future. So Primo came down to the ring and said that if I was to beat someone this week that I would be getting a shot at him at Solstice. Yo when I heard that backstage I was all for it. I was pumped and ready until I heard the person that I would be wrestling. Finesse. Damn I don’t know what to say ‘bout that one. This will surely be some challenge for me. I mean the man is undefeated in singles competition so far this season. I have to give Primo one thing and that he is a smart man. He picked someone that he knew would beat me so that he wouldn’t have to wrestle me at Solstice. Well, that could be smart or cowardly. I don’t know ‘bout that but I’m not gonna say anything. I’m just gonna come down to the ring later tonight and put on a show for y’all. Finesse and Romeo Davis, be ready for something good y’all. Later.

With that Romeo pushed the camera away and he was on his way down the hall.

Finesse's response would come just minutes before the actual match. As he makes his way from the locker room to the set entrance, Fabiola catches up to him.

Finesse, tonight's match against Romeo Davis has to be the last thing you were expecting. What's your take on Primo throwing you and Romeo to the wolves?

Finesse stops to give his answer.

My take? Easy. Primo's a CHUMP. But it's all good. Primo wants me to go against Davis tonight to get his own lil' rocks off? Fine by me. Cuz tha' kid don't back down from a challenge. But on a personal level, I'm hoping that Romeo finds a way to beat me tonight. Cuz I'd love to see him hand Primo his ass at Solstice.

Finesse then looks into the camera.

But Romeo? It's gonna take everything you can muster to do that, cuz I damn sure ain't about to lay down. And as for you Primo? Bet yo' Italian ass that after Solstice, you and me are gonna have us another heart to heart. Cuz whether it be in the ring, in the club or on the streets...all it takes is a lil' Finesse.

He looks back to Fabiola and winks before continuing out to the set. The camera pans into Fabiola partially blushing before Takedown goes to break.
