Takedown returns from a commercial break. Bryan Jasta stands in the ring, dressed in a black business suit and with his black hair down long. A noticeable bandage adorned his forehead as well. With mic in hand, he raises it to address the world.
Twoweeks ago in Madison Square Garden, and XWA referee robbed me of something I've waited eight months for. No...that I've waited four years for. A victory of Dru Nedermeyer. After 45 minutes, this ref stopped out Thunderdome match as he said "For the good of both men's careers." We'd been bleeding profusely for well over 20 minutes by this time, and of course there would be all of the internal damage done as result of the match. But of all the things there was, there wasn't a winner. And that bothers me. The rules of Thunderdome are simple. Two men enter, one man leave. It shouldn't matter if either man can continue or not in an official's eye. It matters only to the men who fight. And so long as I can stand, I can fight. Bleeding, broken bones, whatever. So I stand in this ring, and say to the powers that be in XWA that there WILL be a resolution to this. A ref imposed draw because he couldn't stand the sight of blood is NOT how I want that match to be remembered.
As the crowd murmurs with anticipation, Jasta continues.
The result of my injuries from that match are numerous. A severe laceration to my forehead which required 28 stitches, a concussion, a fractured right forearm and three broken ribs. The Doctors say that I'll be out of action for at least six weeks. But that's what the Doctors say. Dru's injuries I happen to know are along the same lines as mines, and I know he's back in his home in Ohio, with Heather Fierhart at his side licking his wounds. And I know you're watching, Dru. So know that you're speedy recovery is on my mind just as much as my own. Because we're...not...finished. Not by a long shot. Six weeks will be gone just like that. And when those six weeks are up, I'll be standing in this ring, at ONLY THE STRONG. And I'll be in this ring looking for a fight. I only hope that by that time, you'll be ready to give me one.
Jasta tosses the mic to the side, and prepares to leave the ring as Buzz and Roach speak about what was just said.
Only The Strong is one of the biggest PPV's on the schedule, but this year's looks like it's going to be even bigger now. Jasta Vs. Nedermeyer II. I guess the USA wasn't big enough to hold it, now we get to see it overseas.
Two World Class wrestlers, two men who have no quit in them, toe to toe once again in Jasta's homeland of Greece. The birthplace of this sport. I don't think there's any more fitting a stage for round two. Let's just hope we get a clear cut winner this time. What a match!
The End.
