A little wager (Channelle)

The ground stands up and cheers as Alundra's theme hits the PA. She enters the arena with usual fanfare and gestures to the crowd. Alundra walks from the set to the ring, greeting the enthusiastic fans along the way. After entering the ring, she calls for a mic, and focuses her words on one woman in particular.

Earlier tonight, we heard from the "Commish" Sara Warfield in regards to Glitter's co-main events at Solstice, one of which being the match to determine the undisputed Diamond Champion. And I say undisputed for a reason. Like I said ID08, and like Sarah said from her own lips, it's on a formality and a formality alone that Channelle is still Diamond Champion. And that formality is that no winner was decided in the Diamond American Classic. No winner, no loser. So 1st off I have to send a big thumbs up to Sarah for putting that match together.

The crowd agrees with Alundra, responding with cheer.

But Solstice is at the end of the month, and it's going to be a looooooooooong month indeed. A month that I know I'm going to have to endure our *ahem* "Champion" running off at the mouth about how no one beat her and blah blah blah. Which is why I came out to the ring. You see, Channelle, I know what your game is. I'm surprised no one else hasn't figured it out, but I have. You're a trickster. You come out week after week giving the same song and dance, talking smack, showing skin and playing the role of "Diva" to a tee. But I know just as well as you do that it's a front. A rouse you use, and quite well I might add to throw your opponents off to the fact that you're a sadistic bitch. The kind of woman who will grind, claw, scratch, bite, punch, kick and stoop to any means necessary to get ahead and stay ahead of the pack. And might I say it's pretty damn brilliant, and a sight to see in action.

The crowd seemed confused as Alundra was...complimenting Channelle?

So from this point on, let's quit the games. You and I are cut from the same cloth. Two completely different wrestlers, yes. Two different attitudes, yes. But two women who seek the very same means. It's the ends by which we reach those means that differ. And the means we seek is absolute victory.And right here tonight, we start on the path of reach our means. Since we're in Las Vegas for the month of August, I think it's only fitting that we have ourselves a little wager. How's that you might ask? Quite simple actually. Tonight, and next week from the Mandalay Bay Event Center, we have ourselves a series of matches. This week, you choose what kind of match we have, and next week it'll be my choice. And whichever one of us can win both matches, gets to choose what kind of match the Diamond Title is defended in at Solstice. And should we split these two matches? Well...in the event that it ends like that, the match stays a regular one on one contest.

A rush of excitement hits the arena after Alundra's challenge.

So what do you say, Channelle? Care to take up my little wager? You've got nothing to lose, and a heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeavy advantage to gain come Solstice. We're waiting to hear from ya'.

Anticipation begins to mount at a fever pitch as all in the arena await the arrival of the Diamond Champion, Channelle.

The sound of DJ Rap's "Bad Girl" begins to play, and the roar of the fans transformed into boos faster than you could blink as Channelle stepped out onto the stage. There she stood looking like a typical Hollywood celebrity out on the town. A form fitting denim jumper with a tube top and capri style bottoms with white stiletto pumps. Draped on her shoulder was the object of desire known as the Diamond Championship, and in her free hand, a microphone. Through a pair of those stylishly oversized sunglasses, she looks down the aisle towards Alundra and slowly makes her way to the ring, speaking in brief as she does so.

Channelle-Undisputed XWADiamond Champion. That does have a nice ring to it. That would mean that not only would there be no formality, but that there would also be no doubt in anyone's mind as to which of the two of us deserves this title the most.

And now she steps into the ring, standing feet away from the #1 contender.

All I've heard from everyone who cares to talk is that I don't "deserve" this title, and my question to you all is...why? All I've done is beat a rising star in Roze at her own game to win it, and then survive her and 4 other women to "retain" the title last month...and somehow, you people still seem to think that I'm not a "deserving" champion. And you wonder why I don't pay you idiotic fans any mind?

That comment resulted in some even heavier jeering from the Vegas fanbase.

Oh yeah, you pay your hard-earned money to come see us...you're the "life-blood" of this business, but it's obvious to me that you all just don't know as they like to call it around here a "sure thing" when you see it! One thing is for damn sure, what I do out here is not to impress or appease to any of you!

And now that I got that off of my chest...Alundra...it looks like you're the chosen one now, isn't it? You've been given the dream, the mission and the task of taking this title away from me, and you better believe it's going to be a task and a half. I'll give you credit though, it sounds to me like you of all people have understood. It didn't take Marisol long to figure out that there is no shame to my game, and you've somehow come to that realization as well...so congratulations on proving that you can be a psychological equal to moi...now we just need to settle this physically equal part of things.

And now she slowly circles the challenger.

Clawing, biting, scratching, grinding...all that sums up to three little words that I've gone by since day one: whatever...it...takes. See, it's a dog-eat-dog world out here, and I make sure that I'm the one who has the biggest bark and the bite to back it up everytime. Like I said before, Roze...I beat her at her own game. She wanted to get bloody, so I got bloodier. If someone wants to play nasty, then I'll play nastier. Convenient that we're in the gaming capital of the world right now, because there isn't the game that can be played in this ring that I can't play harder or better than anyone, and that's no bull baby.

She stops in front of Jade now, grinning ever so slightly.

I don't have a "specialty" match unlike some people, because I'm a Jill of All Trades, so as far as picking my kind of match tonight...well...I could choose anything I wanted to and have a better than decent chance of winning it. But what to do tonight with you, hmmm? *tapping her chin with her index finger*

I think I've got it. A little something that Cameron Marley and The Chad pulled off on Overload a few weeks back. A "Fight To The Finish" match!

Rose: That...that actually sound kinda cool there! First time done with the Diamonds it would be.

The recap for those who missed it...15 minutes and whoever hits their finisher the most times is the winner. So, you think you're up for that Jade? I am, because I sure would like to see whether or not you actually can finish.

Alundra would open up her response with an immediate retort to Channelle's last comment.

I guess we can say the same about you as far as "not being able to finish" either, eh Channelle? I watched Cam and Chad wrestle that match, and it had to be one of the most hotly contested matches I've ever seen. They both went tooth and nail, and left it all in the ring. And you'd better believe placed in the same scenario, I'm going to do the same. And I'd be insulted if you did any different. But why just limit this to 15 minutes? That's what happened the last time. 20 minutes should do us nicely. That is unless you don't think you can go the distance.

Alundra waits for Channelle's answer.

Go the distance? You're questioning whether or not I can go the distance? I can go all night long, honey. Tacking on an extra 5 minutes isn't gonna make it any different from the last 15 minutes you were in the ring with me...but whatever's clever. You want 20, you got it.

Rose: That's about the only thing she said all night that the fans actually cheered for.

And the only thing that's gonna be left in the ring is you...with a really bad neckache!

Rose: Well, that's more like it...our ever confident Diamond Champion has made her match, literally. Looks like it's on, isn't it?
