The Garden was in a state of shock as the ring announcer made the official call.
"Ladies and gentlemen...this match has ended in a draw!"
You could hear the boos coming hard and heavy from the NYC crowd, as if Channelle cared. She beat insurmountable odds to get to the final portion of The American Classic in the first place. A draw as far as she was concerned was as good as a win. She rolled out of the ring and with what ounces of strength she had in her dashed over to the timekeeper's table, literally snatching the Diamond Title away.
She held it close to her bosom as she was getting jeered by the fans at ringside.
SHUT UP! She didn't win! She didn't beat me! NOBODY BEAT ME!
There was no mic in her hand, but the camera was close enough to have heard every word, and what was the part that really pissed people off was the fact that she was right in a way.
Rose: As much as I hate to admit it, Channelle has a point. She wasn't beaten here. There's no winner, but there's no loser either...so...she is still the Diamond Champion, isn't she?
Lucy: She is...you're right...I mean, I don't know if there is something in the rules that state otherwise, but it makes sense that if a champion isn't actually defeated that they retain their title...
She didn't even bother to look into the ring at Alundra's reaction. She was practically racing up the aisle, she wanted to get the hell of of there before a riot broke out. Meanwhile, the crowd could now be heard chanting CLEARLY what they wanted to see now...
...and naturally Channelle wanted nothing to do with it. Toni Phillups rushed out from backstage with a microphone to cut her off at the pass.
Toni: C'mon Channelle! Listen to these fans, we want a clear cut winner here!
No way...NO WAY!!! She had her chance! They ALL had their chances! I'm not getting back in that ring tonight, no way, no how!!! You people got what you paid for, there isn't going to be any extra innings tonight! Sorry...

Alundra goes about securing a mic from ringside. As Channelle finishes her childish rant, the savvy veteran speaks up in response.
You're absolutely right, Channelle. None of us could beat you tonight. I simply ran out of time. A few more minutes and that belt would be mines. But the road not taken, tonight anyway. So congratulations, you came out of The American Classic still Diamond Champion. You didn't lose. But...
With a smirk on her lips, she adds-
You didn't win either. The fact that you're still champion is a formality of the rules. The title has to change hands by way of pinfall or submission. Not by a draw. So if that appeases that fragile lil' ego of yours, so be it. But you did lose something tonight, Channelle. You're edge. The woman who holds herself so highly over the rest of the gals had a chink in her armor revealed tonight. You might think you're saving face with all that you just said, but in truth...you just revealed the bare nature of your will. You're afraid of losing that title. And more importantly, and most certainly more evident, you're afraid of being shown up. You went on and stole two, count 'em TWO falls in the battle royal. For being as "High class" as you say you are, that seemed kinda desperate if you ask me.
The crowd was in complete agreement. A loud "Channelle Sucks" chant rings out in the arena.
I think these people agree with me. But...the road...not...taken. So enjoy your title, Channelle. You get to hang on to it for another week. Because at Glitter, seeing as the match ended in a draw, I think it's safe to say a definitive winner needs to, and will be decided. Tonight, you had a chance to prove you were a worthy champion. All you managed to prove though, is that it's better to be lucky then good. But when next we meet, you luck runs out.
The crowd roars in cheer for the now interim No. 1 Contender.

Do you and Roze have the same speech tutor or something? Good god almighty!!! I saved this title from being in the hands of another one dimensional, boring, no personality "fighter" is what I did...THAT'S why I hold this baby so near and dear to my heart, because I can't stand the fact of losing it to a second rate wrestler like you!
You think that I didn't hear what you and the others had to say before your little Fatal Four Way? Everyone of you playing me like I'm a fluke...and yet who's the one who's standing here with this title still huh? All you bitches do is talk, talk, talk, but when it comes down to gametime, I'M the one who makes things happen. You call it stealing eliminations, well I call it MAKING eliminations, because all of you slow-ass, lame-ass bull-jockeys are too busy trying to be the "superior" Diamond. Like I said before and like I keep on saying, I'll do WHATEVER IT TAKES to secure my spot at the top!
Show me up? You'd have to be good to do that, or at least entertaining. All this crap about "will" and "being more lucky than good"...if you were good, this belt would be on your shoulder right now, wouldn't it? Was it luck beating Roze three times straight? Was it luck being in a ring with 5 other women and STILL in the end holding the title I came in with? Like you'd know the answer to that. You're not in my shoes now are you? You're not making things happens, Jade...you're just wishing that you could. You can talk all that you want, the bottom line is that you just had your 15 minutes of fame.
No winners, no losers...who gives a shit? There's a champion...ME...and until someone changes that, nothing that you or anyone else has to say about me means a goddamn thing. Warfield tried to take this away from me by throwing at me the best that there was, and you all FAILED!!! I know for a fact she'll probably make some kind of match between you and me in the not so distant future. You think you're going to do any better than you did tonight then, where's there no clock running? Pffft...
Lucky, good...whatever you say, it's not about ME proving myself, (patting the title) I already have. You're the ones who're going to have to TAKE this belt away from me, and so far...you're not doing so well now are you?

Alundra rolls her eyes and wonders how such a woman could even possibly be left to exists. There was apparently no use trying to play to any pride she might have. She had none. Alundra raises her mic for her response.
And you call me un-entertaining? Tell me something, Channelle. How does it feel to pretend being a bad ass? I mean, it's gotta get you off somehow. how? I have no idea. But if you feel trying...and I do mean "trying" to be the female clone of Scott O'Dell is working for you, good luck with that.
The fans get a good chuckle out of her dig.
It's painfully obviously one thing. I'm wasting my time talking to you. Because for the last month all I've heard is the same thing. And I've been around for a while. You're a dime a dozen wrestler, sweety. There's one of you in every company on the planet. You just so happened to have lucked out and won a world title. You're not the 1st, you damn well won't be the last, and you sure as hell aren't, or ever will be the best. Not until you pull your head out of your ass. But at this point, it's so far up that lump of cottage cheese you've got going there that you can probably see what you ate for dinner last night.
And again, the fans laugh and cheer as Alundra digs in.
Now I'm far from the type of woman...not little girl like you...WOMAN who stands around and plays this childish back and forth crap. All your incessant whining and carrying on like a damn 4th grader. You think it makes you look "hip"? I beg to differ. It only makes you look like an idiot. And from where I'm standing, you don't have to work hard to pull that one off now, do you?
Alundra shakes her head and chuckles at why she's even subjecting herself to this.
You know what? I'm not even gonna go there. You see, what you do, how you come out and berate, belittle and bash people just to appease your own misconception of what it means to be successful in this business? It's beneath me. I carry myself as a lady. And ladies don't do what you do. Yes, you're still champion. Are you deserving of it? Hell fuckin' no. And every time you open your cocktrap, you prove it again and again. I'd stand here and go back and forth with you some more, but I think I've killed enough gray matter for one night. So go ahead and get you last word in, because for someone like you I KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW that the last word is always soooooooooooooooooooo important to have. So knock yourself out sweety.
The normally even tempered Alundra's disgust for this woman was evident.

Last word? I'll save that for after I've beaten you and sent you back to the bottom of the barrel. You should be thanking me actually Ms. Jade because if it wasn't for me you'd be the one in the showers right now, not them.
She grins and goes on about her apparent "strategy".
It dawned on me after Ashley started to kick your ass, and then Jamie started to kick your ass when you were the one in the driver's seat. Those two are the probably the best two female wrestlers on the planet in terms of ability, #1 and #2 respectively. Hell, Jamie beat me one on one the week before! Now, do I want to deal with one of them for 15 minutes, or the one who had Ashley beat...MOONSAULTED...for a 1-2-3 and not only didn't finish her off, but was that close...
(making that "tiny" sign with her thumb and index finger)
...to beating you? Put yourself in my shoes there darling, all that was...was protecting my investment! If it was going to be anyone in there with me, it was going to be the one who proved tonight that they can't finish the job.
Even more boos resound now, and Toni can even be seen shaking her head.
I guess you can call me an "opportunist", hmm? Well, if the shoes fits...and might I tell you they're stylish shoes at that, like platinum & diamond encrusted Pradas! You say I don't deserve this title? On the contrary I do. I might not have Ashley's ring savvy or Fury's power, but I've got something that gets by pretty damn well...
Without saying what that is, she simply shows it by pointing to her head.
Why work hard when you can work smart?

Alundra puts her hand to her chin and nods at Channelle's last words. She brings up her mic to reply to them.
When you look at it, that is actually a pretty brilliant strategy. One that I'd expect a savvy vet to take in that kind of situation. So kudos to you for putting that one together. But as far as the other two ladies go, you need to retract a few statements. Yes, I didn't put Ashley away with the moonsault. But I have beaten her not once, but twice. Once for the Onyx Title, the next just a few weeks ago in a triple threat match. In fact, I do believe I'm one of only two women in the company, let alone on the plan to have beaten her twice. The other being Bianca. Can you say you've done that? I think not. And as far as Jamie goes, I haven't had the chance to face her one on one yet, but if I knowthe kind of competitor she is, and how much she'd love to be the one to pry that title out of your cold, dead fingers herself after she kills you...again, I think our paths will cross. I'd almost go as far as saying if...and that's a big if...I don't beat you in ourr next match, she will.
As the fans cheer on that prospect, Alundra adds to her response.
Bottomline, Channelle...is that "protecting your investment" is going to really cut into your "me" time. Because I'm gunning you, Jamie's gunning for you and Ashley's gunning for you. And yes, you were smart enough to get out of MSG with that title still on your shoulder. The question is now, are you good enough to not only beat me with no time limits required, but Jamie after me most likely, and then Ms. XWA herself to keep that "investment"? You're work is more then still cut out for you, sweety. And if I don't test that "championship will" of yours, the other two most certainly will. Am I saying I'm going to beat you? No. I never make that prediction, because anyone can beat anyone else on any given night. What I am saying, is that one on one, you're going to be a lot more then just in the right place at the right time if you plan on putting my shoulders down for three seconds.
Alundra fixates her gaze on Channelle and awaits her reply.

And what I'm saying is just like tonight, just like every night...I'll have something up my sleeve to get the one-up on the competition. That's how it's been and it's how it's going to be. Survival of the fittest, Jade...survival of the fittest, and being fit isn't just about being fit physically. If it comes down to me having to wrestle either of them one more time, don't think I won't have something in store for them either.
She pats the title again confidentally.
I'll give you credit though, beating Ashley twice is quite a feat I'll give you that, but tonight you almost beat her just like you almost beat me...well, as I saw it after I tied it up nobody was exactly beating anyone, but I digress. The bottom line is that you couldn't finish...and I was too gassed to finish you in 15 minutes. Next time we'll have all the time in the world, and we'll see if Ms. "Good Enough To Be Ashley Twice" is good enough to beat Channelle once!
As far as the "game of human chess" that rasslin' is though...there ain't nobody in the Diamond Division who plays it better than I do! Tonight might be a stalemate, but the next time's gonna be a checkmate.
Until then, GOOD NIGHT NEW YORK!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
She blows kisses to the crowd as she starts to back away from the scene, who shower her with that New York attitude.
Rose: Well, New York loves a winner...except when it's Channelle that is. Ladies and gentlemen, still the Diamond Champion, I suppose whether we like it or not.
Lucy: I'm starting to not like her now...
Rose: Who ever did? She's smart, I'll give her that. She's got talent, she's got skill, she's got all of the tools to be one the greats, if she wasn't so much of a...a...
Lucy: Bitch?
Rose: Thank you, I couldn't make myself say it.
Lucy: Give it time. You will.

Alundra smirks as the cocky young champion leaves the arena. There was a hidden brilliance in Channelle. One that only someone as seasoned as Alundra would notice. While the rest of the Diamond Division saw her as a stuck up snob, Alundra saw her for what she was, a cunning, cut throat fox. How would she see that? Because she was a fox just the same. As Channelle proved versus Marisol Cardinale and the former champion Roze, hers is a mental game. And both women didn't do to well at that. But Alundra was a thinking woman's wrestler. Every word spoken by Channelle, Alundra soaked in. It was that, that would be the blueprint for the gameplan needed to up end the brash Diamond Champion. Alundra sets her mic down and prepares to leave the ring, as it was about to be the men's turn to bring down the house.
The End.
