Notice...Taken (Spoiler)

[Jon Payne]

The saying goes, "Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades." Whoever said that was probably a lifetime, lifelong loser. Some people in the crowd were stunned, some were not. The ref dropped his hand for the three count and as had been the case eight times prior, Kayn's theme was echoing through the arena. Kayn was handed the Pure Title once more. Kayn stood victorious in a style of wrestling he was flourishing in.

Jon meanwhile was recollecting in his mind how it was that Kayn had somehow managed to muster up the juice to win this match. More than eight minutes into it he busted the champion open and surely people were thinking that his streak was coming to and end, but 5 minutes and three timely spears later, it had indeed continued. There were moments that Payne had all of the momentum in his favor, but Kayn refused to let him capitalize. Was it power? Was it strength? Was it heart? No, none of the above...

It was smarts.

The Pure Champion is a thinking man's wrestler, and he wrestled probably the smartest match of his career, one that a lot of fans and critics will say he probably should have lost after taking several minutes of that signature Jon Payne "strong-style" aggressiveness. Something happened that usually didn't happen though. The champ did one thing that many before couldn't or didn't do...he fought back. He willed himself back into the match. You could say that the sight of his own blood woke him up, made him realize that this opponent, as noble as he may be, was in that ring to win and take his title no matter what the cost. That's the nature of the business...that's the way of the warrior...live to fight, fight to live...and tonight it seemed that Kayn would live to see another day as Pure Champion.

And to think all of that was rolling through Payne's head in just a matter of seconds.

Rising to his feet and favoring a gut that should probably have caved in after spear #2, he meets the champion, bloodied but still not yet beaten in the center of the ring, and extends his hand in congratulations.

Hope I wasn't too rough on you champ.

That's Jon Payne for you. Go to war and then make jokes when it's done. He would never be ashamed of a loss against someone like Kayn...someone who deserved to be a winner.

[Kayn]

*Battered, beaten and uncommonly bloody, Kayn stood with the Pure title still in his possession. Jon Payne did what he always does, he brought a fight to the ring. Tonight however Kayn was able to do what few did, he withstood it and came out on top. As Jon stood there with his hand extended, Kayn did what he felt was only right, he not only accepted Jon’s handshake, but he wrapped his arm around Jon’s shoulder and spoke to him.*

“Nothing I won’t come back from.”

*Kayn then smiled at Jon and took Jon’s hand and held it high as if to say Jon was the winner in a sign of respect. The crowd exploded as Kayn applauded Jon.*

Mike: ”I’ll tell ya Buzz, I’ve never seen a Pure title match come down to the wire like this one did. This was anyone’s match and Kayn pulled it out in the last minute.”

*Even though Kayn’s theme music played over the PA system, it was Jon Payne that was being treated as the victor in this match. After applauding Jon, Kayn walked over and put his arm on Jon’s shoulder once again as the camera mics picked up Kayn’s next words to Jon.*

“Thank you.”

Suddenly...

Boos start, it was the theme of the annoying, arrogant, obnoxious, cocky fitness guru, Emil Edwards, he was riding his segway and carried a mic, he rode his way to the ring and he slid into, then he look with disdain at both of them. Then Emil adresses them.

Oh, I am so deeply sorry to interrupt two grown men needed of loving. But as far as I know, this show is being watched by children.

So this proves my point about you being an awful champion Kayn. But that's not my main point

Emil takes a few steps forward

Why on Earth are you thanking this loser? He busted you open! He made you bleed like the fat pig you are! And you thank him? I just can't get the picture, I mean, if this idiot busted me open, which would never happen because taking out a quick look at his body, makes me guess why he couldn't take on such an easy opponent like you Kayn.

Oh wait, now you'll say that you beat me, but you had to cheat to beat me. Oh yeah you had to cheat like a filthy swine, you hit me with your finishing move before the match was on, I wasn't 100%! Everyone knows that with my great training and great body fitness, I would have dismantled you piece by piece and reveal to the world what a big fake you are!

Emil then addresses the crowd

And all of you who cheer for this Mister Goody two shoes, you are just as fat and pathetic as he is! I sentence you to a life of hell in Earth plagued with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, high sugar level, etc... You'll end up having both of your feet cut off before reaching 40!!!

Emil chuckles his obnoxious smile as he takes out a product of his sportsbag and poses with it in front of Kayn and Jon

But what came next was unexpected. Sonne played and it was Osiris that came to the ring, with a mic already in hand.

Osiris: Emil, do us all a favor and shut the hell up. You've been on a losing streak, and you can't blame anyone but yourself. Face it, you suck in the ring, and you suck at picking your opponents. Speaking of which...

He turns to Kayn.

Osiris: Ever since I got here, I've been hearing non-stop about you and Jasta. I will eventually face Jasta, but that won't be for a very long time. The person I want to face right now is you. I don't care for a title shot because I haven't done much to warrant a shot. But..

Turns back to Emil.

Osiris: You have done less then I to get a title shot. A little will beat absolutely nothing every time. So how about you just leave and maybe you can leave this ring unscathed.

[cold]

Brian Dawsons music comes on and Brian walks from the TNN basement from the crowd. He gets over the barricade and into the ring. He looks at everybody in the ring and grabs a mic from the camera man.

I don't even care about you bloody fans! I don't care about Osiris or Emil. I don't even care about your title there! Mate, MG told me to send you a message Kayn! He said I was supposed to kick your ass and make you lose your title! Most people say that I'm losing to much! But I think I have what it takes to become the Pure Champion! If I do beat you sir I will give it right back to you! All I care about is serving pain and recccccccccciving pain!!!! "Emil you've been on a losing streak" Well for your information you pathetic clown, if I wasn't assaulted before the bell ring, I'd be the Pearl Champion right now. Seriously you think you can come here and demand a match right now? Have you seen Kayn? Emil mocks Osiris' stance

Emil points to the stage suggesting that idiot to abandon altogether.

[Osiris]

Osiris looks down at his belly, not seeing what Emil was talking about.

Osiris (to himself): What is he talking about.

Turns his attention to Emil.

Osiris: Well Emil, do us a favor and sell it somewhere else. And you want to keep insulting how I look? Go ahead, I do wear a mask for a reason you know. But know this, there are severe consequences for trifling with me. Just ask Steve Toreno.

He then notices the other person that has entered the ring.

Osiris: Now that is just a insult to Kayn and the title itself.

He then turns to Kayn.

Osiris: You have to deal with guys like this a lot? Man that really has to suck.

[Kayn]

*Kayn, who’s head was still bleeding, was listening to all the rigmarole happening in front of him. After a minute or so of the bickering back and forth, Kayn finally grabbed his own mic and decided to lay down the law.*

“Emil, look, you lost. Fair and square, cry about it all you want but that doesn’t change anything. As for why I’m thanking Jon, it’s very simple, Jon is a competitor and he didn’t hold back any punches and was what I would consider my first REAL competition this season, and for that I am thankful and grateful.”

*Kayn then turns to Brian.*

“You’ll have about as much luck beating me and taking this title from me as your boy MG did.”

*Kayn then turns to Osiris.*

“One day, I’m sure you and I will meet in the ring, however there is someone else that is getting the next shot at me.”

Buzz: ”Kayn is scared of all these guys, he’s refusing them all a shot at the title.”

Mike: ”I think you forget partner that someone came out and call his shot earlier this evening.”

“I promised Pollox Troy that he would be next in line for this belt, so at Overload I’m answering Pollox’s challenge for the Pure title.”

*The crowd cheered for Kayn. He took a moment and wiped the blood from his head once again before raising the mic one last time.*

“Now as you can all see I’m tired from my match, so you all can continue to fight amongst yourselves while I head back to get cleaned up.”

*Kayn turned to Jon one last time.*

“It was an honor facing you tonight, we’ll have to do it again sometime.”

*With that, Kayn placed his mic on the mat and bowed to Jon in a show of respect before climbing out of the ring and walking up to the backstage area. He gave some fans a few high fives as he walked to the stage, once he reached the stage he turned to the crowd and raised the Pure title over his head to the explosive cheers for the fans in MSG. Kayn stood for a moment and smiled, he then lowered the belt and headed into the backstage area.*

Emil can't believe what he saw

He bowed at him?! Who is this idiot!?! The emperor of Japan or what? Well he has something in common with the Japanese, he's as slob as a Sumo wrestler is.

Emil then focuses on Jon Payne

I don't know what do you have, but I don't care, I am much better, fit and stronger than you'll ever be. Why did you got a title shot, when I deserved a rematch after that illegal powerbomb I was hit with, ruined my title match with Kayn?

Talk about injustices! This is the biggest injustice in the history of our sport, or maybe in the history of mankind! This chump got a title shot when I deserved one! I am not up for that! I am Emil Edwards, the best this company has to offer, not only I have a body of a god, but I also have it on the upstairs too!

It's no secret that you all use my products, but as I offer a 0'9% discount to Gallas, I should be given a title shot when I want one! Instead I get overlooked by clowns and Halloween kids! Let me tell you something, XWA isn't getting away with this!

Emil then turns and sees Osiris still there

What are you waiting for? The Ghostbusters to arrive? Get lost!

Emil then waits for an answer

Osiris: No, I' waiting for you to shut up. You want a title shot so bad, then you'll have to go through me to get it. You have done nothing for a shot, and all your bitching is really pissing me off.

By now Osiris is right in front of Emil.

Osiris: What say you, little man? Think your products will be enough to stop me?
