The sounds of XXL's new theme song play, and the fans come their feet as yet another homegrown hero makes his appearance in the World's Most Famous Arena. XXL stands on the stage, looking ever confident after a one could call miraculous victory inside of a Steel Cage against Robby Sylk. He smirks as he made the walk to the ring, slapping five with the fans. When he stepped into the ring and was handed a mic, despite the resounding ovation from these MSG fans, his look was of 100% focus.
Tonight is a night of reckoning. See, the last time that I was in this building was the night that I survived three other XWA Combatants to become the XWA Champion. Inside of this ring was where the greatest single achievement of career happened, but outside of the ring hours later was when that all came crashing down.
That was when some punk...that's right I said it, PUNK...ambushed me in the parking lot, severely injuring my ribs to the point where I couldn't even fully recover over the off-season, and had to relinquish the title as this season began. To say that left a bitter taste in my mouth is an understatement.
Now in this ring later tonight, six men will step inside to decide who will take the XWA World Title into the second half. To the winner of that battle, I'm saying it right here and right now...you will not have to look too far for your first, or your next challenger. I've been through the wars, I've pulled out wins that even I can't believe I did...and I'm ready. Ready to take back the championship belt that I should never have lost the way that I did in the first place!
Roach: Whoa! So XXL is calling his shot right now, is he?
BuZZ: Yeah, he's basically telling whoever win the Men's TAC match tonight that he's got next!
That brings me back to main reason that I'm out here. As you can see, and as you have seen the last two months, I am fully recovered, so WHOEVER you are that tried to take my livelihood away from me in November of 2007, you failed. You didn't get the job done. And now...it all comes full circle, halfway through this season, right where it all began, it's going to happen right where it all began, inside of that parking lot.
I'm going to be out there, and I'm going to be waiting for you. Maybe you'll show up, maybe you won't...but I'll be waiting either way, and if you do have the balls to show, we'll see how good you are taking me out when I'm face to face with you!
XXL, still in his street clothes, drops the mic to the mat and climbs out of the ring after he makes both of his statements. Which one has the most impact though is yet to be seen.
Roach: He's challenged his attacker to meet him in the parking lot? That's a little risky isn't it?
Buzz: Like a needle in a haystack. Well, get a cameraman out there with him! We'll...we'll keep an eye out on how this develops folks...
