Unlucky (Invite)

[Romeo Davis]

So the past couple weeks didn’t go so well for Romeo Davis but he had to keep moving. He stood behind the black curtain as he waited to hear his theme music to be played. Suddenly "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" begins to play throughout the Madison Square Garden. The crowd rose to their feet and began to cheer as the awaited the appearance of The RD Factor. The black curtain was pushed aside and Romeo had come out onstage. He taunted for the fans then made his way down the ramp and into the ring. There he made his way across the ring and was handed a microphone from outside. He then returned to the center of the ring and lifted to microphone to his lips.

"M S G, lemme her y'all make some noise."

The crowd erupted after hearing what Romeo had said.

"Aight cool, cool. So last week on Overload I stepped into the ring with one of the greats with that being Scott O’ Dell. It was a real good match but the better man came out the winner. But hey, there are no problems over here. I lost and I am admitting to that and there is nothing more I can do at the moment. What makes everything worse is that the man that I wanted to step into the ring with tonight is in the main event and cannot wrestle in more than one match. Yes that man would be Primo. I defiantly wanted another shot at that man after the embarrassing loss I suffered to him in the last man standing match at Soul Survivor. Soon I will be able to step into the ring with that man again but tonight it’s not gonnna happen as y’all can tell. So basically yours truly is in need of an opponent tonight. So…"

As Romeo was going to continue with his speech, it was cut off by the theme music of…

The one and only Godlieve Van Der Sar. It had been a few weeks since last we heard from him, and he looked as stoic as ever. He makes his way to the ring, met by the rampant boos of the fans. Undeterred, Godlieve ascends the ring steps, and enters. He's handed a mic, turns to Davis, and begins.

Primo should be the last of your concerns this night. Your issue, is with me. I don't know how, or even why I allowed myself to be beaten by you...not once...but twice. You, a...a mere BOY. A CHILD! I'll not allow those loses to go unchallenged. Tonight, I make good on my vengeance. And it WILL...be vengeance. So look no further for your opponent. He's standing right in front of you.

He lowers his mic, awaiting the reaction of Davis.

[Romeo Davis]

A smirk appears on his face as he listens to the words from GVDS. He then lifted the microphone to his lips once again.

"Godlieve, my man, what’s happenin’? I mean it’s been a while since you’ve shown your face around here man. Yea from what you just said to me, I can tell that you are pissed right ‘bout now. You did lose to me twice now and you are supposed to be like a great wrestler and all. I mean I believe all the stuff that ya did in the past but this is now man. So since you are pissed and want another shot at me, I’ll grant you that but hey, don’t let me beat ya again. I don’t think you want to be beaten by me, a "boy" or a "child" or better yet, the rookie to the wrestling business."

He lowered the microphone and awaited the response from GVDS.

Angered by Romeo's brashness, Godlieve replies...

Don't patronize me, boy. Complacency is a sign of weakness, which is what I'd expect from you. An intelligent man would cherish the fact that he bested a man of my caliber. But I hardly feel you're in that category from your words. So go on. Enjoy yourself. Have your fun with the fact that you've bested me twice. Your fun and games will be a short lived memory this night. I shall make what Primo did to you at Soul Survivor look like a slap on the wrist. It's time you learned a valuable lesson in humility, boy. And I just so happen to be tonight's instructor. Do try not to be late for class.

Godlieve drops his mic. He gives Romeo a stern glance before turning to exit the ring. As he starts up the ramp, he pauses at last words Romeo had to say.

[Romeo Davis]

Romeo lifted the microphone and replied.

"Ya know what Van Der Sar, I will cherish that I have indeed bested you twice. Maybe it’ll help me beat ya once again or maybe it won’t. It don’t matter cause I know that I will come down to the ring later on and give it my all so that I can defeat ya for the third time. If it’s a lesson you wanna teach me then let’s see that happen. Oh don’t worry "teach," I won’t be late for this."

Romeo lets out a small laugh as he watches GVDS walk up the ramp. The scene then fades to black as Romeo exits the ring also.
