NOTE-Use this thread to post a one shot promo for TAC if you choose. During the course of the ID08 PPV, time is taken for each participant of the Men's American Classic match to speak their minds on their chance to become the World Champion. First up is the man who was victorious in his Triple Threat match, Magnus. Standing stoically in a specially set-up area, he adjusts the pitch black necktie of his black suit, and the cameras begin to roll.
Ladies and gentlemen. Do you not see now what it is that I have said all along. Do you now slowly begin to realize what I have attempted to explain to you? One mere month of unsuccessful competition does not a career make. This is a marathon, not a sprint...and now, slowly but surely the XWA has come to the understanding that Magnus Von Schwartz is one of the greatest pure grapplers in the world today.
Do I need such recognition? Not hardly. My gratification comes from the dominance I demonstrate in the ring and the professionalism I demonstrate out of it. Unlike some who have been chosen to partake in this match, this "American Classic"...and furthermore many of the peons who gal avant around this place, I am true gentleman warrior.
I see the flashy, flamboyant ones such as Finesse or Robby Sylk, and I scoff. I see a lowly street thug like MG and I laugh. It's fitting. Three men in this match are dedicated wrestlers, reared and trained in the tradition of the sport, while the other three fall into either the "entertainer" or "fighter" category.
That kind of technique is not deserving of being called a world's champion. A world's champion is one who exemplifies dominance. He is one who a challenger respects, one who an opponent knows he will not have an easy time in defeating.
A man such as I.
A man who in the last few weeks have defeated some of the finest competition in the world. Sylk, a man who had only been beaten twice this season felt my greatest technique and could not continue. Jon Payne, arguably one of if not the best wrestler in the world, submitted under the lock of one of my submissions. Syrus Sykes, a man who managed to best me not once but thrice, was fallen soundly in a match where it is but your skill that determines the outcome, The King's Road match. Three victories that cannot leave a single doubt in anyone's mind that when I win, I do it convincingly.
Tonight will not be an exception. I go into this match knowing full well that total chaos will be the rule of thumb. All will be put into perspective when the first eliminations are made...and I assure you that I will not be one of those men. Then, it will be separated once more the true warriors from those who claim to be them. Skill will determine the last two men, and will shall determine the last among them.
There should be no doubt of mine at this point. If anyone does doubt still...all you will need is one match, one encounter against me and I PROMISE you that you will be made a believer.
Tonight, we who have been chosen prepare to go to battle for the holy grail. To those who oppose me I say this...come prepared to be broken.

Did you see what happened at TakeDown last week? Did you see it? That's exactly what going to have to happen in order for me not to come out of MSG the new XWA World Champion. The other five men are going to have to try and beat the living hell out of me for me not to finally fulfill my destiny as the top dog.
Magnus, MG...I'm not going to hate on your hustle. I was a bloody mess, but I still took the fight to you. I kept going and going until that suplex knocked me out, but what can you expect when you're leaking like a faucet. There's only but so far you can go after that. But it's totally understandable fellas. It makes perfect sense for you to eliminate the greatest threat before he can get into his rhythm.
That's exactly what I am, boys. The greatest threat. The odds on favorite. Do you know what I've done the past three months? I've dominated everyone who stepped in the ring with me. XXL...man, the guy must have a four leaf clover in his back pocket, because him beating me the way he has was pure luck. PURE...LUCK.
It's not gonna be luck for you though. Oh no, I think you all know what I can do by now. Robby Sylk is more than just the best looking wrestler in the XWA, he's simply the most intense, the most aggressive. I'm a bonafide blue-chip prospect and you know it. That's why I know that each and every one of you in this match are probably going to gun for me first and foremost, because you all know that when I'm on my game I'm impossible to stop.
There isn't gonna be any stopping me though. I'm gonna blow you all away, and Bain...I beg you, I'll get on my hands and knees here man, please don't get yourself eliminated. I want the last stage to be you and me. I want the champ in the final 20, so that I can show you a thing or two about what it really means to be a BIG man, and you ought to know that I'm not talking about size.
If I don't come out of New York City with that platinum strap...I know it's going to be because each and every one of you in this match knows that if I did win it, none of you would be good enough to take it from me. So bring it on gentlemen, and remember that no matter how tonight plays out, nobody outshines the GOLD*...
...nobody.

Finesse stands backstage with veteran XWA correspondent Fabiola. As the scene fades in, The New York crowd explodes in cheer for the hometown hero. Finesse nods approvingly as Fabiola begins the interview.
You can hear it yourself, Finesse. How does it feel to be here in MSG?
This place holds some special value to me, Fabs. When I was growing up in Harlem, I dreamed of one day making it to The Mecca. The 1st time I stepped foot on the playing floor of MSG was 2002. The PAL High School All-Star game. I'd just signed my letter of intent with St. John's. I went on and scored 23 points in that game. And I played ball for two years before I decided that Wrestling was my calling, not the NBA. So being here tonight. In a match for the XWA World Title? This is big. Real big.
So what do you think about the field of competitors you'll be up against?
Youcan't assemble a more diverse group of guys. I mean, you've got the World Champ Ethan Bain 1st and foremost. 7'0". 350lbs. Easily the most athletic big man in the game. Then you've got MG, a dude just like me. From the streets. But he came up different then I did. But I don't knock the brotha's hustle. He's been bustin' his ass to get this shot. Then you got Robby Sylk. What more needs to be said about Robby Sylk, eh? Then last but not least you've got a pair of guys cut from the same cloth. Magnus Von Schwartz and Primo. A pair of old school grapplers. Dudes that would rather throw you then know you. But Magnus was a lil' mistaken in his comments earlier. You see, after I stopped playing basketball, I moved on to the St. John's wrestling team. No, the program isn't as heavily touted as say Minnesota, USC or Michigan's. But I busted my ass, and I ended up the NCAA Northeastern Heavyweight champion my senior year. So you best believe that if you think that you can out wrestle me, you got anotha' thing comin' chrome dome.
Sounds like you have a point to prove tonight.
That I do. I know that in this match, I'm the rookie. Sure, Magnus is new XWA like me, but he isn't new to wrestling. As far as experience goes, Magnus and Primo have the edge. But I've got somethin' none of these dude have. Home Field Advantage. Out here, wrestling in front of family and friends, and the rest of my city? I've got a point prove alright. And that point is that if any othe the other dudes want to be World Champ, they're gonna have to see me first. It's or get rolled on tonight. And trust that ya' man Finesse is ridin' outta MSG in style. With more platinum then he rode in with. HOLLA!
Finesse holds up his "F" chain proudly, and walks out of the camera shot.

Later on in the show, Primo arrives to MSG. He's ran down by Overload correspondent Joe Beakmen as he enters through the parking lot.
Tonight's the night. The American Classic. You're 1st ever chance at the XWA World Title. What's going through your mind, Primo?
The idea that I have to waste my time in match that favors me so heavily. This match, is a match of skill. Not speed. Not power. No technical prowess. Skill. The man who can out think the rest of the field tonight, and endure the final 20 minutes of pain after 4 men are eliminated, will walk out as champion. That puts me at an advantage before I even set foot in the ring. I've built my career on being 4 steps ahead of the curve. Tonight will be no different.
S...so what about the inclusion of Magnus in this match. We've heard for months how much you two have this "mutual respect" for each other.
Magnus in this match represents my 2nd greatest challenge behind Ethan Bain himself, who anyone would be a fool to thing isn't heavily favored to win. Magnus and I are cut from the same cloth. And yet, he has decades of experience over everyone else involved, myself included. In him will be where the game of chess is played, because I know he'll do what's needed to win. As will I. If I had to choose who the final 2 will be, I'd say it will be either me and Bain, him and Bain, or he and I.
So, you're not even worried about the rest of the field?
Worried?*Hmmmph* What is there to worry about about? Neither Finesse, MG Or Robby Sylk pose a threat to me. They've not even been on my radar until this month. Not scoffing at their talent, they'd have to be talented to get to this point. But comparing those three to myself, or Magnus, or dare I say the champion himself is an insult. Tonight will be a crowning of a new champion, and a dawn of a new age in XWA that's been far overdue. The World Champion should be the best pure athlete in the company. And when all is said and done tonight, it WILL be. Now if you'll excuse me.
Primo continues on into the arena...
