It was safe to say that Glitter was not a good night for the team known as Showtime. That fact sunk in really well for the Diamond Champion as she soaked away her aches and pains from a decisive loss to Jamie Fury inside of a hotel jacuzzi. They were in New York, so it was a stay in the legendary Ritz-Carlton on Central Park for her now. When next she steps in the rig it would be the American Classic, a match that she would have to fight harder than she's ever fought before in order to win, and the question going through her mind now was...can she?
That wasn't the only thing going through her mind right now though. Her colleagues weren't exactly doing very well lately. In fact, she was starting to feel as if she was "show" in Showtime, judging by some lackluster performances by Blake & Kristal as of late.
Channelle wrapped herself in a soft terry cloth towel and picked up her phone to give on of them a call and find out what was going on. Kristal didn't answer-just her voicemail. That would leave Blake. She hits the speed-dial number and the phone rings on the other end...

Blake was in a hotel herself...a separate one. She was not very happy with how things were going right now, so on this trip she decided to keep a distance from the other two. Inside she was contemplating whether or not was she was doing right now was ever going to work. Not just this "Showtime" stable, but how she was performing in the ring on her own. She did lose her only singles match thus far against a veritable newcomer in Alexis.
What the hell is wrong with me right now? I'm know I'm better than this crap. I can be one of the most dominant forces in this business. Maybe those two are holding me back...
Her though process though is broken by the sound of her cellphone ringing. Checking the display she see the name Channelle and sighs before she answers.
Hello Channelle, what do you want?

What do I want? For starters why you decided to leave for New York City on your own without eve telling anyone!? And then of course there's the obvious question of how in the hell could you and Kristal lose to a couple of second-rate nobodies like the Dixon sisters!?
Her tone of voice on the other end was as annoyed as it was frustrated.
You know, you and Kristal are being very counterproductive to the cause here. I'm holding it down on my end, your front though...it's not holding up very well. Not in the ring, not out of the ring, nothing.
You need to get it together, Blake...both of you. You need to get back in that ring and set the wrong things right by beating the crap out of those two jabronis.

Oh...I'm sorry...I don't think I heard you right Channelle, it almost sounded to me like you were trying to order me around. Correct me if I'm wrong but this was an ALLIANCE the last I checked. You're not my boss, whether you're the Diamond Champion or not.
Furthermore, what I do on my down time is my business...you're not my babysitter either, so I don't need to report back to you, got it!?
About the only thing you've said that I halfway agree with is that we shouldn't have lost to the Dixons and we have been counterproductive. Kristal is a damn showboat, exactly how I pictured her to be the moment I laid eyes on her. She's more into soaking up the spotlight than actually getting the job done.
Come to think of it, you two are cut from the same cloth. Different in a lot of ways, but in so many ways the same. It's all about image to you. I didn't sign on to be a celebrity, I signed on to be a force to be reckoned with.

Blake darling, what you fail to realize is that image is everything in this business. Dominance comes from taking what you want and doing what you want. You think Kristal or I give a damn what anyone else thinks of what we say or do? Sounds to me like you're having doubts about your role in all of this, and now that you have it in my head, so am I!
Stealing the spotlight was kind of the mission from the start...that is why we're called SHOWTIME after all. And about me not being the boss of you well...maybe if you would take some direction instead of trying to be little miss do it my way, you'd be doing a little more than you have been. Let's call a spade a spade here Blake, you're the only one of us three who hasn't won a match yet, so obviously what you're doing isn't working. Time for a change in strategy don't you think?

That little statement only succeeded in pissing Blake off.
I knew you were going to go there. I knew it. You've got some nerve. For being the Diamond Champion, you didn't exactly impress in Rochester against Fury now did you, and you wanna throw my record in my face?
You're absolutely right, Channelle. A change in strategy probably is in order. A big change.
With that said, her end of the line disconnects.

As Blake hangs up on her end, Channelle props her feet up onto the bed while she set her cellphone on the nightstand with a sly little grin on her face.
Well, I think that went well, now didn't it?

Surprisingly enough sitting in a chair across from the bed the whole time listening in on the conversation was Kristal, who was grinning from ear to ear herself.
Waking the sleeping giant you could say? Well we'll just have to see about that, now won't we?
