Jeff Heaven's music hits the PA, and the crowd pleasing superstar steps into the arena. As he makes his way down to ringside, he gives fist pounds to the fans along the way. Jeff then hops up onto the apron and climbs into the ring. He's handed a mic, and speaks out about what tonight held for him.
Well ladies and gents, tonight's the night. Tonight, four men will get in this ring, and do battle to see who will challenge the X-Gen Champion at Independence Day 2008. Tonight, it's gonna be the tactical precision of Brian Yang, the aerial artistry of Cameron Marley, the sheer showmanship of of Chad Treadstone, and of course your's truly. Four of the best Junior Heavyweights in the game. And only one of us can be Number One Contender. Well fellas. I know all of you have your sights set on becoming just that. But you're gonna have to deal with a focused and read for war Jeff Heaven to attain it. This is my chance to make good on what I said I would. My shot to get one step closer to the X-Gen title. And boys, I'm letting nothing stand in my way. So I ask all three of you one thing tonight. BRING IT. Because you better bet your ass that that's what I'm gonna be doing.
Once he lowers his mic, the theme of one of his competitors hits the PA.

Brian Yang steps into the arena as his music plays.
Tony: We've seen a change in Yang in recent weeks. He's got one hell of chip on his shoulder these days, Slick.
Willy: You damn skippy he does. Bein' Mr. Nice guy only gets you so far in this business. You and I both know that. I like this new, aggressive side.
While the announcers speak on Yang's changes in recent weeks, he makes his way down to the ring. Standing a few paces away from Heaven, Brian responds.
I'm real glad that you're feelin' confident tonight, Jeff. Really, I am. Because when last I checked, your last match didn't go so well. Oh wait, that was against me, wasn't it? It's all coming back to me now. You see, Jeff. There's a fine line between "thinking" you've got what it takes and "knowing" you've got what it takes. You might have been one of the top dogs over in PTW, but here in XWA...as you've plainly seen in your time here, the skill level is just a lil' higher then normal. To be the best here, means you're the best anywhere, cuz let's face it. This is the only place that matters in the game. And as far as being the best of the X-Gen Division, it's only a matter of time before I take my spot at the top. It doesn't matter who's champion when we hit MSG, Reyes or Kodanashi. They're gonna be standing across the ring with the best. And then they're gonna go down like the rest. So you don't have to worry about bringing it, Jeff. All you have to do wait your turn to get eliminated like the other two.
Brian's brash words got boos from the fans. The cocky Yang grins as he awaits the next response.
