In a shocking turn of events. And what may go down as the biggest upset in Overload's history. Both Brandon Payne and Romeo Davis, somehow.. some way manage to pull off a big win over there rivals Primo & Scott O'Dell. After the bell sounded, and the men were declared the winners. Payne ducked out of the ring, leaving Davis by himself to celebrate. Fans found this as kinda odd. But nonetheless, Payne had a determined look on his face as he reached the backstage area. Where he is approached by Joe Beakman (oh boy, this should be fun. Remember last time ? )

Um...uh Brandon Payne.

Beakman, nervously approaches Payne. Fearing for his life (and getting knocked out again ).

Mr. Payne...sir... could I have a word with you ? It'll only take a minute, I promise.

Payne replies:

Sure... why not. Don't worry, I won't hurt you. Besides, I've got much better things to do then pick on poor, pathetic announcers like yourself.

Well, Mr. Payne. What are your thoughts on your victory here tonight ?

Not much to talk about really. Brandon Payne came into the match and took care of business. I beat Scott O'Dell around like a little dog. And Primo, pfft, is it just me or is he starting to lose his edge ? That guy walked into tonight running his mouth about how great of a wrestler he was. Yet I prove to the world how big of a poser he really is. He has some skill, I admit. But he is no Brandon Payne. And lets just say that Mr. Franchise got FRANCHISED.

As I always say, you mess with the best. You die like the rest. I tried to warn Scott ahead of time. Would he listen ? Of course not. He let his false pride get in the way of his judgement. He let his guard down and he payed for it.

What was it like teaming with your old running mate, Romeo Davis ?

Ah, Romeo Davis. Good kid in all. But just like last time. I had to carry him on my back. Matter of fact, if you watched the entire match. I was the only one doing anything (laughs).

Fans watching this interview take place on the XWA tron give start to boo.

WOW.. I have to say I'm a little surprised to hear you say that..

And why is that Beakman ? Do you expect to just walk back in here and start kissing the fans ass ? Do you expect me to stand here and pat my partner on the back and say "Good job buddy, you did great out there". Psst, NO ! Do you know who the hell I am ?

Fact is... I've got no beef with my partner. But, lets face facts. As far as the match is concerned. Brandon Payne stole the show.

See Beakman.. its not always about 'We'... its mostly about 'Me' !

Well, with that all being said. Do you have any final comments ?

O'Dell ! I'm going to give you a couple of weeks to regroup and get over your humiliation. I'm going to give you until Independence Day to finally either put up or shut the f*** up ! Technically, I've beaten once tonight. And if you have the guts. Show up at the PPV and it will be a pleasure for me to humiliate you all over again.

And ya know what ? Just because I'm such a 'nice guy'. I'm going to let you select the match type.

Now get outta my face, Beakman !

Payne leaves the area, walking towards his locker room as the video shuts off on the XWA tron.

END or o2 Davis, O'Dell, or Primo

[Romeo Davis]

Yet another terrible showing by Romeo Davis was seen by all earlier in the night. There was defiantly something wrong with him, but he couldn’t find out what was going on with him. We find his walking the halls backstage pondering about the match that occurred earlier. How could he wrestle so terribly? The two had gotten the victory over Primo and O’Dell but still, Romeo had probably the worst match of his career in the XWA. He needed to dig down and find out what was going on with him and fix it immediately.

As he was walking down the hall, he managed to bump into Joe Beakman. Beakman had a microphone in his hand and a cameraman that had been following him. He spoke up.

Finally I’ve found you Romeo Davis. Now what are your thoughts on tonight’s match?

"Embarrassing. Disappointment. I don’t know what the hell was wrong with me when the match got started. I feel like I let all the fans down and also myself. I felt like I was ready for the match the whole damn time but once that bell rang, I choked. I was basically the dummy in the match. It was like if you wanted a free shot go after Romeo Davis. I got something wrong with me, but I’m gonna fix that ASAP. The fans came here to see a show and that’s what they are gonna get from me from now on. All ya can expect from me is 110%, nothing less."

Alright, alright, well, Brandon had some words to say about you earlier after the match. How do you feel about that?

"I knew he was gonna say something like that. Figures. All that man cares ‘bout is himself. He can say whatever he wants, I’m not gonna let that get to me. If he wants to go ahead and think he’s the man then so be it. He’ll find out soon enough that he isn’t. There is only so much ego that someone can have before they come crashing down. So Payne, if ya think you’re gonna carry every match, we’ll see ‘bout that my man. Like you said, we got no beef, but if you gonna keep going the way you are oh man we’ll have something to fight ‘bout."

So Romeo, you have any other words to say.

"I got nothing. Jus everyone out there, expect more from Romeo Davis cause it’s gonna happen."

With that Romeo moves the side and continued on his way down the hall. A change was needed and a change was what was going to happen.
