With just 10 days left until the season kicking off, Rodolphe Gallas announces a press conference to be held in the halls of XWA Corporate. The subject of the conference was something that would again push XWA ahead of the rest in innovation. Gallas steps up to the podium and begins.
I thank you all for attending 'zis conference. I stand before you, and 'ze rest of 'ze industry to announce yet another idea 'zat shall again push 'ze Xtraordinary Wrestling Alliance above and beyond. as many of you all know, 2008 shall see 'ze beginnings to what is sure to become 'ze most exciting and entertaining division in wrestling, 'ze X-Gen Division. But in 2007, another of XWA's divisions was at 'ze forefront of 'ze industry. 'Zat of course, was 'ze Diamond Division. In an industry where 'ze measure of female talent is often in her beauty, XWA's Diamonds proved without a doubt that it's skill, determination and drive that make you a wrestler. 'Zey are by no means "divas" or "flowers". 'Ze are Diamonds. Nothing in 'ze world is stronger, or more beautiful.
One of his advisers step and whispers something in his ear before he continues.
As has been well documented, XWA recently purchased 'ze properties of Prime Time Wrestling, a formidable organization based in Michigan 'zat was faced with a tough road ahead. As such, we also acquired 'ze rights to 'zer titles. Amongst 'zes titles is 'ze PTW Lady Of Wrestling Title. A title 'zat was 'zer women's championship. A title 'zat gained much prestige amongst 'ze fans of PTW, and it's superstars, male and female. Well, here I announce 'zat 'ze LoW Title shall live on in XWA.
The spectators were shocked, amazed and excited at the prospect. A reporter stands and asks...
So you mean to tell us that XWA is adding a new female title into it's midst???
Gallas replies.
Exactly. 'Ze LoW Title shall live on as 'ze XWA ONYX Title. But no no no, 'zis will not just be "just" another title. Last year, we introduced to 'ze world "Pure" Wrestling. What will known know as 'ze XWA "Pure Division". Where true skill, grit and conditioning is 'ze showcase. Wrestling in it's purest element. It's been copied on many occasions, but 'ze Pure Division is indeed 'ze TRUE successor to LXW's "Pro Rules", 'ze brain child of Chris Lionhear. A man who has been at 'ze forefront of innovation in 'ze industry for years. 'Ze Onyx title, shall be 'ze Diamond Division equivalent to 'ze Pure Title. Same rules, same match styles, just now showcasing 'ze BEST in female wrestling.
The room fills with a buzz at the announcement of XWA's newest title. It was big news indeed. And journalist raises to ask a question.
Mr. Gallas. The question begs to be asked...who will vie for this Onyx Title? I mean, XWA is still without a Pearl Champion until at least March Madness. With as many Diamonds that may be in the running for that title, doesn't that make you load even heavier? And THEN there's the issue of the last LoW Champion, Alundra Jade. She never "lost" the title in the 1st place. How does she factor into this?
I'm glad you asked 'zat. Yes, 'zere are in fact two other titles 'zat need to be settled on in XWA aside from 'ze Onyx Title. 'Ze will be handled in 'ze own manners. But 'ze Onyx Title will be dealt with at 'ze Season Premier. I myself have hand picked 4 Diamonds I feel best fit the mold of what 'ze Onyx Title shall encompass. Those 4 ladies are
Lexi Madison
Chloe Lockheart
Sayuri Irabu
and Roze
At 'ze season premier, 'ze will all meet in a Battle Royal. 'Ze winner, will go on 'ze next week to face Alundra Jade herself, with 'ze victor being declared XWA's 1st Onyx Champion. 'Ze result shall be fair and unbiased, as so 'zat 'ze 4 chosen females will fight for 'zere right to be a champion, and Alundra will have a FAIR and individual chance to win 'ze title she never lost. Thus shall begin a new chapter in 'ze Diamond Division 'zat I feel will push women's wrestling even further. And it shall again be in an XWA ring. 'Zat's all I have for you today, any further question can be directed to my adviser. 'Zank you.
Gallas nods, and steps off the podium. As the question began ro ring out, Gallas makes his way towards the director's to convene with them.
