Toni: Hello, Toni Phillips here, and right now I'm standing by with the XWAPearl Champion Sonya Robbins. Congratulations first off on your first defense of the gold at Soul Survivor.
Thank you.
Toni: I guess with all the buzz going on now about The American Class at ID08, the most pressing question would be...what do you have planned?
Well, I'll give you an honest answer...I have no idea. That's not just because I don't know who might come along and make a challenge, but because there are a lot of ways that I'd like to go and ladies I'd like to face.
Toni: Any names in particular?
There's Amber Gianni for starters. She's just an awesome competitor. Same goes for Marisol Cardinale and the girl she's been up against the past month Tiffany Masterson. Alexis Valentine, Cosette Grace, Lauren Blayze, the list just goes on and on.
Toni: Well, those are a lot of options there, good ones at that.
Just the tip of the iceberg. Everyone's so caught up in their own things though, I feel neglected that nobody is interested in me and my little championship here. Hee Hee...
Toni: I don't think that's going to last too long. Seeing as you've in your own way laid out an interesting challenge of your own.
You know, I kind of did, didn't I? Well, hopefully nobody is gonna be shy this week and someone will take me up on it. Come one and come all ladies, I play nice...most of the time.
Toni: Well, that was the Pearl Champion Sonya Robbins folks. She wants a fight, we'll jusy have to see who wants to give her one tonight on Glitter!

And why I am not in that list?a middle east accented voice irrupted from Sonya's back, it was Sinclaire, XWA's first Middle East Diamond.Let me answer that rhetorical question, because you all consider me Sumya's henchwoman. You are yet to see my true potentialSinclaire slaps Toni's back as she grabs her micNo more questions.Sinclaire then invites Toni to leaveWow, Sonya I couldn't keep myself from hearing you and I gotta say that it really breaks my heart, I don't want you to feel neglected, so that's why you, your shiny belt and myself have a date in this Glitter.
Oh and don't forget to bring your best talent, because I really wish hell no... I really WANT to become XWA's first Pearl Champion of Pakistani descend! And you Sonya, you are gonna help me with that. I know you are good and I respect that, but you and everyone is yet to see me in singles competition.Sinclaire then handles Sonya a phone numberThis is ex-champ hotline, you are gonna make a few calls after our match Sonya. Sinclaire smiles confidently as she waits for an answer.

Wow, is this an actual number here?
She looks down at the card with a little intrigue.
I'll have to see about it sometime...but it's not going to be anytime soon Sinclaire. So you finally decided to come out of Sumya's shadow, hmm? That gains you some respect points right out of the gates.
A little advice though, it would be a damn good idea if you stop following Sumya in that other way. What's that you say? Let's say that you do beat me tonight and win this title. That would make you the fifth XWAPearl Champion...no more and no less. Who cares where you're from? Who cares whether you're white, black, Arab or Asian for that matter. Nobody that's who.
Contrary to what you might think there are no color lines in XWA. The last two women who held this title were mixed race, but only one of them made a big whoop about it. The longest running World Champion was a black man, but he never made that a point. It's not about being one race or the other, it's about being good enough that night to become the champion...that's all that matters to anyone.

Sinclaire backs up those words
Wow! Not so fast! Look everyone has their political beliefs, and don't worry I am not looking for affirmative action here, yet there's something I don't see clearly here Sonya.
Face it, I am the underdog here, you have victories in your record and I have none, it would be a total shocker that I won the title tonight... So that's why I think I am gonna tell you that I don't want a title match.
Think it this way Sonya, you beat me, and you are again without opponent. Whereas that if I defeat you tonight without the pressure added of having to face you for the title, you'll give me a second chance, and if I defeat you for a second time, you'll give me a third chance, and if I defeat you for a third time, you won't need to give me anymore chances because I'll be the XWA Pearl Champion, right in Independence Day, holding the title in front of thousands of screaming fans.
Sinclaire crosses her arms and stretches as she answers again
Think about it Sonya, think about it. You want to give me a title shot tonight? Fine with me, you want to save it until Independence Day? Fine with me too. Your choice.
After exposing an interesting logic, Sinclaire lowers the mic as she waits for an answer

Hmm, I see what you're getting at here. You want to work for your opportunity, huh? Well, that will earn you some more respect points there as well. If it were someone else in your position they'd probably jump at the chance of being in a title match their first chance for one, but not you.
You do make a good point there. If I did beat you I'd be right at square one again. With all due respect to Jamie, I can't just go week by week beating challenger after challenger. That works for some people, but as far as I'm concerned this belt needs to have itself a little more heat behind it. These titles aren't just trophies, and it sounds to me like you understand that.
So we'll do it your way. We'll see what you can do on your own in the ring tonight, or I'll see rather because you should have a good idea what I'm capable of. From there, we'll just see what develops, won't we now?

Sinclaire smiles seeing that she had convinced SonyaHonestly, respect points don't matter to me, I rather have more championship points. And well after hearing you I must assume that we have a deal.Sinclaire lays a hand on Sonya's shoulder as she offers her a handshake, however when Sonya is about to shake Sinclaire's hand she moves it away waving her beautiful black stone hairGotcha! You need to be more fast Sonya, they don't call me Air Sinclaire for nothing Sinclaire smiles as she leaves the scene. handling Toni her mic, Toni quickly asks Sonya.Well Sonya, you asked for an opponent and you got one, we don't know too much of Sinclaire but from what I have heard, she's pretty fast and strikes fast with her legs, much like Sumya, but she's also a great highflier. We have also seen that the girl has some cockiness too.
So Sonya are you looking forward to face Sinclaire? You think she can be a tough contender for the Pearl championship?Toni holds the mic as she waits with expectation

Well, seeing as I'm a bit of a striker myself it's always interesting to see how someone who fights just a little bit like you does against you. Yeah, I'm looking forward to this match Toni. About whether or not she's going to be a tough contender though? She's going to have to be the one to prove that.
Like I said, we'll just have to see how that develops. In the meantime, I'm am out!
And she steps off camera to prepare for the match.
Toni: That'll do it from back here, let's get back to ringside!
