He could go after anyone at this point....he did say some time ago about going after the Pure Champ but seeing as it's old buddy Kayn I don't think that's gonna happen

You sure? I mean they are friends now but you gotta know that Keith has not forgotten losing to Kayn the week before the Last Dance at Last year X games...

As they continue to chat "Ultimate Satisfaction" kicks up as the fans hop to their feet as the one and only Wyldman steps up to the stage. Stopping for a minute he looks out into the crowd his sunglasses blocking his eyes from theirs, he turns his head for a moment then starts down the ramp as the crowd continues to feed him with their sheer electricity. Stepping into the ring he receives his mic

Keith stops as he gets the easiest and cheapest of pops from the crowd

I think you know what time it is

of course the echo is deafening as they chant "WyleStyle!!!!"

No no no that's not what time it is

Wha? what other time could it be?

IT'S TIME......for the Wyldman to pick his shot.....to get some gold around my waist...

Tje crowd cheers as he continues to speak

and the champion I choose to challenge is Van Hayden!

Wha? Keith Wyle vs Van Hayden.....well lets see if our National Champ answers the challenge....

After a brief, anticipation building delay, Van's music hits the PA with a boom. The fans come to there feet as the National Champion steps out from backstage. With his signature hoody on, and thee title around his waist, Van looks down towards the ring at Keith Wyle. He brings up his mic to speak his reply.

Now who didn't see this coming, eh Keith? Keith Wyle wants to be a champion again. Nothin' wrong with that. Nothin' at all. Well...maybe one thing. The person you ended up calling out...was the WRONG person to call out. But I guess you had little choice seeing as the biggest glutton for punishment walking the Earth Emil Edwards decided he wanted a piece of Kayn, just a week AFTER I beat his ass from one end of the ring to the next. And let's face it, it hasn't exactly been "Championship Wylestyle" in 2008, so I doubt you're even a blip on the radar of the World Champ, Ethan Bain. So that leaves a challenge against me. A challenge of chance. And a challenge that to be honest, I don't think you can meet.

Van's words to an extent had merit.

At this time last year, you were like...what? One month into one of the most impressive World Title reigns in recent memory? You were riding a wave of success and putting on the best shows this company had to offer in the ring. This year? You're not even close to the form you were in 07. You've lost a step, Keith. Whereas me? I'm better then ever. I'm one of only Three men on the planet who's face Bryan Jasta and beat him one on one. I'm not even close to hitting my prime yet. The skies are the limit for me. For you? It seems like you're in need of one pivotal win to put you back into any form of contention. And sorry to say, it ain't happening tonight. I'll fight you. I'll defend this title against you. And I'll beat you. It's not every day that Keith Wyle is the underdog in a match, but that's what you are tonight. If you even think you have a chance of beating me, then you're gonna have to find some way...ANY way...to get back to your 2007 form. Otherwise, all you're gonna be after tonight is notch number three on my gun post.

Keith smirks a little bit as Hayden talks, bringing the mic to his lips he speaks up

Confident are we? nothing wrong with trusting and believing in ya self, nothing wrong with it all.but there is something wrong in underestimating me....ya see cause if you remember correctly I had a little bit of a losing streak before I got my world title shot, before XWA was graced with Championship WyleStyle.

The crowd backs him up on that fact

Most people dwell on loses, they let loses effect them, make them make stupid descions but not me I've gotten my ass handed to me quite a bit this season so far but has that affected me? not a bit, I take it in stride. cause all it takes it one slip up, one misstep for me to take advantage of, as much as you stand there and seemingly take this in stride you've seen my matches this year and even when I'm losing I'm still one of the better wrestlers on this roster, even when I lose I look better than some of these other challengers you've had..hell you've haven't had a decent challenge since you won the damn thing....and you know you need one...you think about Bryan Jasta the man you won it from and his lengthy title reign, then you think about who you've had to face since you've had it and I know you're disappointed

I gotta admit the challengers for the National Title since Van Hayden won have been coming up short....

to the point where the champ had put out an open challenge for the title

I mean really Emil Edwards? you've had to face The fat fitness guru....the guys version of his new workout plan is trying to get date at a local gay bar when telling the guys how fat they are

Oh come on you know there isn't Diamond or a woman for that matter who would go out on a date with that guy and yes I know that was a bad joke

So what do you say Van? lets meet down here and later tonight and give these people a showcase of what a Title match in the XWA really is how real wrestlers get it done, and we'll just see who goes home wearing the strap

Keith then lowers his mic and waits for Van to answer

Now you oughta' know that the last thing I ever do is turn down a challenge. It's the reason why I even entertained defending against Edwards. And might I say from that match, if he focused as much on being a solid wrestler as he did being a dickhead, he might actually turn some heads in the right way. But that might be asking for a miracle. Anyway, as far as you and me are concerned, you can consider the match a lock tonight. I don't have to tell you to bring your A game, because I bring my A game every time I get in the ring. You want it? You've got it...

So come GET it.

Lowering his mic, Van waits for the next reply.

Keith raises his mic to his lips as he smirks slightly

Oh don't worry I'm coming with everything and then some...
Keith then lowers his mic as his music kicks up

and there we have it folks our National Champion Van Hayden puts his title on the line against former World Champion Keith Wyle in what sure to be a classic
