Helena wanders the backstage area during the Overload broadcast. Seeing as both of her older brothers were in action, she wanted to take in the matches personally. But it was the match Kaster was in that she was most interested in. Namely because of his opponent. Helena was found of Cody Black. When she suffered her near career ending neck injury, Cody was the trainer who most helped her back into the ring. There were few people that Helena respected, Cody was one of them. As she walks along, she spots him in the distance. She walks behind him an announces her presence.
Cody...

Cody could recognize that voice a mile away. He turns around to find the beautiful Helena, looking as sultry as ever behind him. In his usual style, Cody greets her.
Hey there, good lookin'. You know we've gotta stop meetin' like this. People are gonna start thinkin' stuff. *Heh heh heh*

Cody's demeanor was alway a warm one. For a man his size, he had a heart just as big. One of his biggest strengths and weaknesses all at once. She smiles faintly as she responds.
You and I know that people are going to think whatever the hell they want to think regardless. It's like a man an a woman can't be "just friends" these days without them knockin' boots. It get's old fast, but what can you do?
Helena takes a deep breath and continues.
Anyway, I wanted to ask you a question, Cody.

Cody politely takes out his ear plugs (His ritual was to listen to Skinrd before a match) to give Helena his full, undivided attention.
What's up, lil' lady?

Helena gulps down hard as she brings herself to ask her question.
Why do you feel the need to be at odds with Charlie? I mean, when is this ever going to end between you two? Every place you both are together, you always feel the need to go at each other's throats. I mean...when does this cycle end? You're one of my dearest, closests friends, and he's my Brother. I can't begin to tell you how hard it is to watch the two of you beat the hell out of each other. Let's not forget what happened the last time. I understand that you both are fierce competitors. That's all well and good. But in the last year and a half since I broke my neck, it feels like it's become more then just a rivalry. I feel like I've somehow responsible for this. And it's not a good feeling.

Somehow, Cody knew that he'd eventually have to answer this question. It was a shame he really didn't have a good one.
You know, Helz. I don't ever like the idea of puttin' you through any kind of agony. But you know what kinda' man Charles is. You know how his mind works just as well as I do. And you know that this right here, what we're doing right now, is the sole reason that is. He hates that fact that while you were laid up with a Halo hold your neck together, I was the one at your side while him and Paul were off doin' it up in Europe. For some reason, he thinks that I'm trying to push him out of your life. What kinda' god damn crap is that? I'm nothin' to you, and he's your brother. Charles is a basket case. And if I'm the man who's been made to be the one to knock some sense back into his head, so be it. You know I don't back down from a fight.

Even though it was exactly the answer she anticipated, it still didn't make it any easier to hear.
*Sigh* I know you don't. And neither does he. And so the vicious circle continues. And you know Paul's just inclined to sit back and watch you both kill each other. Just be careful, will you Cody? I've got no love lost for anyone with the last name Fierhart, believe you me...but since Kaster's been at it with Ryan, he's become a lot less rational then usual. He's obsessed with breaking him. I've got Heather out of my system, some what. But the fact that you of all people sided with another man he considers his mortal enemy? I don't even wanna think about what's going through his head.

Cody gives a confident grin in his response.
Youknow I take care of mines, Helz. Don't even sweat it. If Charles wants to go mongo, we can go mongo. I sided with Ryan Fierhart because he and I are on the same boat. We see things the same way. And that's that your brothers need to be knocked down a peg or two. The only way to get through to Chucky-boy is to beat the crap out of him, and no one does it better then me.
Cody looks at his watch.
Speaking of which, it's almost show time. Hey, after the show we should get some grub. Seein' as Glitter's goin' doing to LI after tonight. I bet that'll just burn Chuck's bacon even more, *heh heh heh*.

Helena grins at Cody's classic wit, the replies.
What the hell am I going to do with you? *Sigh*
She tip toes up and gives Cody a kiss on the cheek.
You know I don't do good luck speeches. Just try to watch you back out there. Overload seems to be "The Ambush Show" from what I've seen in it's 1st month. I'll see you later.
As she walks away, she blows Cody another playful kiss.

Cody acts as if catching the kiss, and "puts it in his pocket". He also responds to her last comment as she walks off.
It wouldn't be the 1st time! *Heh heh*
Cody puts his ear plugs back in and turns up the tunes. Everything Helena hinted to he already knew full well of. On the surface to everyone else, it was just competition. But it was very personal when it comes to him and the man known as "Kaster". Tonight would just be yet another tale in the storied and often times violent history of two men who were at one time the best of friends...
The End.
