The setting is the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY. The XWA returns back to it's home base, culminating with the PPV that marks the midpoint of the season, Independence Day from the mecca of sports & entertainment.
Glitter opens up with the sound of "Atomic Clock" and the fans jump to their feet as the Diamond Division Commissioner comes from backstage.
Rose: Welcome everyone to XWA Glitter! Travis Rose & Lucy Black at ringside here in Rochester, NY...and that's the woman in charge, the legendary Sarah Warfield. All this past week, there's been talks going on about something big going on at ID, not just for the Diamonds but the men's division as well.
Lucy: I don't think we're going to wait very long to find out what that announcement is going to be. From what I hear it's pretty big...unique stuff.
Rose: Well...I have to say I'm looking forward to this.
Tonight, I have a big announcement to make to you all here, and it concerns our July PPV Independence Day happening live from Madison Square Garden. It also concerns the two most coveted prizes in all of the XWA...dare I say all of wrestling today, the Platinum Titles, Diamond and World. At ID08, the belts both will be fought for in a match that we call THE AMERICAN CLASSIC MATCH.
How it's going to work is we're going to start with five of the XWA's best superstars from the first half of the season and the current Diamond and World Champion...being Ethan Bain and Channelle respectively, and their all going to face off in a Battle Royal Match. When that six turns to two, the rules change, and those two left standing will then finish things of with an Ironman Match! The man and woman who score the most falls in that encounter will be crowned the new, or retaining XWAWorld and XWADiamond Champion!
Rose: Wow, that's a pretty big deal.
Now, since this is Glitter, I'm going to go into detail about the ladies side of things here. What I have in my hands right now is the official list of five Diamonds that will be participating in the Diamond's American Classic Match at Independence Day. Obviously for starters, there will be the new Diamond Champion Channelle. Joining her in this match will be...
The former Diamond Champion, ROZE... The FIRST Diamond Champion, ASHLEY DIAMOND... The former Onyx Champion, ALUNDRA JADE... The former Pearl Champion, JAMIE FURY, and lastly... The best Diamond the first half of the season not to challenge for a title thus far, BIANCA DIANACO.
Lucy: Decent choices I must say. All of those ladies have done some impressive work thus far.
You can guarantee folks that there's going to some hard-hitting action at MSG, and there's something else that should be said here. Seeing as this match is obviously not the most advantageous situation for our champions...if they do not win The American Classic match, they have two options:
1) Declare a Title Rematch to take place at the first August TakeDown or Glitter or 2) Relinquish their rematch clause, and in exchange for that they will instantly be entered into the XWA's next and most brutal multi-person Platinum Title Match, THE DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND.
So, there you have it ladies and gents, no more need for me to be out here, let's get this show on the...
Not even a second before Sarah could say her last word, the theme song of the new Diamond Champion began to play, and the crowd began their not so warm welcome of her arrival...

It was a different theme song from what the fans were accustomed to. One that Channelle had personally thought befitted her and her impact on the XWA thus far, "Bad Girl", a track by DJ Rap-who was actually a Drum & Bass Dj, but did one of those tech-pop album in the 90's. Yes, the title alone fit the new Diamond Champion to a tee as she strutted out from backstage clutching the Diamond Title close like it was a baby. The look on her face was one of disdain and disgust as she made her way down to the ring in pink stiletto pumps. Her attire was a short little sundress, tie-dyed her favorite colors, pink and yellow like her ring gear.
She stepped into the ring with a mic in her other hand and started to circle the Commissioner, huffing and puffing.
Now, just wait one flippin' minute here!!! Don't think that I don't know what this is about Sarah. I know how you're mind works...you play off to these morons like you're Carol Brady or June Cleaver, but I know you're one vindictive bitch, and you...like everyone else in this building and everyone watching on TV absolutely hate the fact that I'm the Diamond Champion right now!
You hate the fact that I swept Roze three straight last month and took this title fair and square while being that one woman that you all despised the most. I am the bad guy...or girl...and I WON...and you can't stand it, so what do you do? You come up with some hairbrained gimmick match that I have a 1 in 100 chance of winning and if that's not all, you throw in some of the stiffest competition there is to raise the difficulty level and lower the chance of me winning.
Clever, Sarah...really clever, I have to hand it to you, you're a thinking woman's woman, but I've got news for you...you're not going to have it your way. If that were the case then women like me who don't fit into your little cookie-cutter mold would probably never even see a shot at the Diamond Title. I mean, how many girls like me have held this belt, hmm? Sara Beck? The moment she won it she decided to make herself more "marketable" so she started to pander to these peons.
You know that's not something I'm going to lower myself to doing, so you want to get the title out of my grimey mitts as fast as possible, and you throw Bianca into the mix too knowing she's got just as slim a chance to win it. There's more of a chance that one of your "favorites" like Ashley or Fury will win it than either of us, just how you wanted it, hmm?

I beg your pardon?
Sarah's eyebrow raises from the listening to of Channelle's apparent "conspiracy theory".
You think this is some sort of bureaucratic maneuver to ensure you're not the Diamond Champion for long? I'll agree with you on one thing...most of these fans are probably not the most thrilled that you're the Diamond Champion right now...
Their boos solidify that point...
...but you did in fact win the title under fair and balanced conditions. Your actions might not be to my liking, but if you weren't talented then you wouldn't even be in the XWA, let alone the champion of the Diamond Division at present.
That being said, the Diamond Division is filled with talent, and like you the other five chosen deserve an opportunity to reach the point that you're at right now. There's nothing diplomatic about that. Nothing bureaucratic. If you lose, you have a chance to regain the belt or compete in the Devil's Playground in October, so I really don't see what all the fuss is about here Channelle.
I don't like how you conduct yourself, but I don't have any personal vendettas against anyone to the point where I'm going to put them in an adverse situation...that is unless someone gives me reason to...hint hint.

Oh really, so what would you have me do then, huh Sarah? 2 on 500 handicap match? Maybe a "Channelle shaves her head if she loses" match? There isn't anything you could possibly do to break me, because the fact of the matter is that I am THE CHAMP, and I will do you guessed it...whatever it takes...to keep it that way. I sincerely hope that the rest of my competition has a firm understanding of that, or else just like Soul Survivor, they and all of these morons out here are going to have some bad tastes in their mouths.
From boos, you could then here a chant of "Channelle Sucks!"
So I suck now, huh? What a bunch of fickle little imbeciles you are. Hell, you aren't even REAL New Yorkers! Rochester? We might as well be in Long Island or something...you're all just jealous that you can't make it in the city, so you all shack up in the backcountry and still have the nerve to say "I'm from New York". What a crock!!!
I suck so bad that I'm the Diamond Champion. Oh, you're really hurting my feelings...
Channelle grins from ear to ear at her sarcasm, but then another of the chosen few's themes begins to play.

The theme was "Their Law" from The Prodigy and the woman was Jamie Fury. She stood at the stage with a mic in hand taking in the reaction from the fans despite the sneer on her face. Jamie literally stared a hole into the new Diamond Champion as she walked the aisle to the ring, nodding and applauding her sarcastically. Finally she stepped into the ring joining Channelle & Sarah. First she took a good long look at the Diamond Title, then she put the mic to her lips.
You're right Channelle. You are the Diamond Champion. That's a fact that nobody in the world is going to take from you. If ever there was reason for you to be cocky, that's it right there. I'm not going to disagree with you on the fact that you surprised some and impressed others by winning that title last month. But you need to understand that there's two kinds of champions.
There's the champion who holds dear the fact that they've earned the right to be called the best. They revel in the fact that they've worked hard and have been rewarded for it. They compete week after week to prove to anyone that without a shadow of a doubt that they deserve the title bestowed upon them.
Then there's the champion who just uses their title as a trophy piece. There's no value to it to them except the name and the fame. I don't think it's any mystery to anyone here which kind of champion that you are.
You come down here and you spew your little conspiracy about the American Classic match. That's got to be the most childish thing I've ever heard, and I should know seeing as I dealt with Sumya. I didn't think anyone could be more immature than that, but I guess that's one of the things you should be proud of surpassing that level.
She starts to circle the champion, keeping her eyes fixated on the title.
If I were the Diamond Champion, I'd be stoked at the fact that I'm going into a match like this...because it's a true test of your own limits. You might get a break in a one-on-one match here and there or try to stack the deck in your favor, but in a situation like this it comes down solely to what it is that you have in the tank that night. It's got to be more than not just what one person has, it's gotta be above and beyond what five people have.
That's not winning a title Channelle, that's earning a title, and there's a big difference in that. At March Madness I earned the Pearl Title by outlasting six other ladies including yourself, and now as fate would have it I have the chance to do that one more time, and this time against the best women in the XWA for the biggest prize in women's wrestling today.
While you're out here bitching about it, I myself can't wait to get to MSG, and you'd better believe that you're not the only one who's gonna do whatever it takes to come out on top.

There's a difference between March and now Jamie. In March you and I were pretty much getting our starts solo here in the XWA, and everyone had such high expectations about you. But what about me huh? If those idle-brained idiots backstage weren't going on about me not having "talent", they were trying to be clever making jokes about the same tired things one after another. I mean, it's really interesting how some of these bitches pay more attention to my breasts or my my ass than men do the way they talk about it so much.
But despite all of that, I shut them all up at Soul Survivor didn't they? Now not a single one of them has anything to say. Luck? Pffft...I hardly call leaving Roze busted open in the center of the ring luck. I wonder what other little excuses might someone have to say though. The fact of the matter though is that it doesn't matter.
Just like you said, you're going to be against the best of the best, and seeing as I have the prize that makes me the best of the best of the best...and being in such a regard I deserve better treatment than I'm getting right now!
Roze's lame ass got to name not one but two matches that she thought was going to put her timid little ass in the driver's seat...and I in turn get thrown into a match I have a slim chance of winning. Does that not speak just a little bit about a conspiracy here? If it were you standing here as Diamond Champion, we wouldn't even be having this convo. There'd be no "American Classic" match, and they be trying to push you as the "Diamond Dominating Champion" or some other lame marketing ploy. But no. It's me, and they're instead trying to make my run as short as it can possibly be, plain and simple.
Rose: You know, I honestly believe that's what she thinks about all of this going on right now.
Lucy: It sounds like a valid claim, but we know it's not true. I think this woman needs to quit while she's ahead. The more she talks the more people are annoyed.
Rose: As if that hasn't been the case for months?
Lucy: Good point.
So you can be as stoked as you want to be Fury, because I'm not. If this were some deal that the winner FACES me, then it would be a totally different story. That's "earning" a title, contrary to what you think.

Do you really want to know what I think? I think that's the biggest pile of horse manure I've ever heard! You have the nerve to stand out here and try to weasel your way out of this? If you don't like how things are going down, then how about you do us all a favor and hand that title to Sarah here, walk up that aisle and never even think about going for another title again!
Here's something that I don't think you quite understand Channelle...winning or "earning" a championship is only the beginning. The true challenge comes after you've reached the top, and it's called trying to stay there. If you think for a second that you're going to try and politic your way into that, you've got another thing coming.
Fury gets up close and personal with the champion, resting her index finger on the centerplate to make her next statement.
You might be the champion Channelle, but you sure as hell don't deserve it.

I'm going to do not only whatever it takes to keep this title, but whatever I want while I have it. It's nothing different from when I wasn't the top Diamond, the only thing is now that you all have no choice but to buy my brand.
When I said I was going to take my place at the top of the mountain, I bet that enough of you blew it off like I was just blowing hot air, didn't you?
Well guess what?
She like Jamie did seconds ago rests her finger on the title belt.
I'm exactly where I said I was going to be. You can say I don't deserve this title all you want, I really don't care Jamie. The most important thing that you need to comprehend right now is that I have it. That's the bottom line. I said what I was going to do and I did it, and there isn't a damn thing that any of you can do about it!

There isn't anything that I can do about it...yet.
But come Independence Day, there's going to be a lot that I plan on doing about it, and doing to you in the process, and I know for a fact that each and every other woman in this match has probably got the same thing in mind.
Only thing is that I get the chance to do something first...and by that I mean do something tonight here on Glitter.
The last time you and I were in a ring there were four other women in the ring. Tonight I want you all to myself. I want to see for myself whether you are that good, or just that lucky. Call it a tune-up match or a warm up match or whatever you want to call it, but I want you in this ring one-on-one so that I can show you exactly what I'm all about.
