The sound of "Their Law" by The Prodigy signals the arrival to this week's Glitter of the still reigning Pearl Champion. Jamie steps out with the title on her shoulder, something that is starting to be a regular occurrence since that fateful day in March when she won the title belt. Months later, she was still the reigning champion, and even last week retained yet again, even though she had some help this time around. After the usual waves and high fives to the fans, she stepped into the Glitter ring where a mic was granted to her to speak about the next chapter in her title reign.
Last week in South Carolina you witnessed the end of an era. You witnessed the last time for a while that one Sumya will ever get the chance to win this, now and forever until someone takes it from me...MY Pearl Championship. The ironic part is that she has nobody to blame but herself. Her running buddies Sinclaire and Shirley weren't even a factor. It was her, the captain, who took the fall, and by a move that she had used so effectively up until that point as well, one stiff kick to the dome. I guess she must've thought she had the patent on the move, but Sonya Robbins proved otherwise didn't she? So I guess it's safe to say now that as far as this title goes for you Sumya...it's "lights out".
And so, as the saying goes, "to the victor goes the spoils". I'm still Pearl Champ, and as I promised, the two women who helped me stay the champ will have their chance to do what hasn't been done since I won this baby at March Madness tonight in something really special. Something that hasn't been done in the XWA. You see, I don't want to have any questions about the outcome of the match. I don't want it to have to come down to rulings or policies that determine the outcome. I want for this to be a match where the winner earns this championship...and the way to do that is to defeat the champion hands down. So were not going to have a Triple Threat match tonight ladies. Tonight, we're going to have what I call the Double Deal.
Rose: Double Deal?
Real simple how this will work. One of you will face me first, and the winner of that match will face the other for the title. When the smoke settles, one of us will stand tall as the Pearl Champion. The only question is who between the two of you want to be the first up. Let's find that out now, shall we?
And so she waits for either challenger to respond first.
