Open Contract (Invite)

As TakeDown continued from the Gwinnett Center, we see SHE standing in the center of the ring with a mic in one hand and a clipboard in the other.

Ladies and Gentlemen, last week on TakeDown the Soul Survivor event officially began. This week it continues, but there was one team that was left out in South Carolina. Because of the order in which it was formed and other contractual issues, the team of Magnus, Syrus and Jon Payne were left out of action. That's why I'm out here tonight.

SHE raises the clipboard for all to see.

What I have in my hand right now is an open contract. What this does is in addition to facing the first formed SS team tonight on TakeDown, these three men can face any opponent of their choosing tonight, whether they are scheduled to compete tonight or not, whether they're a champion or not. Anyone on the male roster.

BuZZ: Whoa...that's...that's kind of a big deal.

Roach: Yeah! Anyone on the roster?

The only thing we need is for these three men to come down to the ring, sign on the dotted line and let us and the TV audience know who it is that they want to sqaure off against tonight. Remember boys, it can be ANYONE YOU WANT. So come on down gentlemen!

[Jon Payne]

The first man to respond was Payne, and as usual the fans came to their feet once his music started to play. The lights dimmed down to Martix-green, and out he came from backstage already dressed to compete, but wearing his new "The Evolution" T-Shirt. Slapping fives with the fans down the aisle, it was the typical entrance for one of the XWA's most popular superstars and an icon in the world of wrestling.

He stepped into the ring and after he was handed a microphone he gave an old friend in SHE a hug before speaking.

So, anyone on the male XWA roster huh? That's a pretty sweet deal right there. You know, there's quite a few guys who could probably stand to have some "Momentum Killed" if you get my drift. Heh Heh.

Sierra handed Jon the clipboard. Taking the pen attached to it, he promptly signed and dated an open line on it, and handed it back to her. Instead of naming his opponent though (mainly because he couldn't think of one right at that point), he stood back and waited for his SS partners to come down to the ring as well.

CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN YOOOOOOU DIGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!??

Only a couple of seconds after the people sat their asses back in their their seats did they jump right back up against when those words echoed through the arena. It meant the next man up was Syrus The Entertainer who popped out of the backstage area. Like Payne, he was dressed to throw down tonight, and like Payne he was greeted by the fans down the aisle, some of them to side wearing his new T-Shirt and Black and Purple colored Afro Wigs! One girl had a digital camera and was begging for a snapshot, so what did Syrus do? Strike a B-Boy Stance of course!

Roach: The cliche police will arrest me if I call Syrus a "People's Champion", so I'm not gonna do it. I will call him a man of the people though. He loves his fans and the fans love him right back.

As Syrus stepped into the ring, the camera cut to a bunch of guys in the stand wearing purple body paint and black afro wigs with the letters S, T and E on their chests screaming like mad men. The first words out of his mouth were straight from a popular sitcom in the 70's, or a cartoon.


Hey-Hey-Hey!!! WAAAAAAAS-APPPANEEENING Georgia! Lemme tell ya'll, I've been enjoying that Southern Hospitality this whole week, know what I'm saying? Tonight though, Ms. Easton...how you doin' girl? How that fine little Mimi doing? Anyway...

BuZZ: Ever the ladies man, ain't he! Remember him flirting with Fab at Mayday? Somebody oughta tell him about the company fraternization policy!

Roach: Uh, there isn't one Buzz.

BuZZ: Well...well there should be!!! I was gonna try to ask her out...

Anyway, Ms. Easton...you done did a good thing tonight, because the people of South Carolina didn't get to see The Entertainer do his thing, and that ain't cool. So tonight, Columbia SC...I dedicate this match to you! You might not have seen it in action live, but over the airwaves is just as good, trust me...and I guarantee you...it'll be ELETRAFYING!!!

Handed the clipboard, he signs his name as well.

And I already got in mind who I want to get me some of tonight baby, the man who's coming out next! Let's go Maggie, one more time! One more time...come on ya'll, say it! ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME!

Syrus is pumping his fists and rallying the fans in unified chant as they wait now for Maguns' appearance.

[Magnus Von Schwartz]

In near immediate response, Magnus emerged from backstage amidst the sound of his them and the transformation of the "One More Time" chant from the crowd to boos. Magnus was not dressed for action yet, still in his black business suit, and he was very much about business at that moment, focussed on nothing but the ring that lay in front of him and the people inside of it.

There was no small talk after he entered the ring. He simply made his way towards SHE and signed the contract as the other two did. After the deal was sealed, then is when he called for a microphone.

So Syrus, another match against me is what you desire tonight, hmm? Well, it's funny that you make such an announcement here, because I too have decided whom it is that I wish to face tonight in addition to the qualifying match for Soul Survivor. My opponents in that match would the two men standing in this ring right now.

Roach: Huh?

It is as I said before...the surest path to victory is to have the absolute best on your side. There's no doubting that the two of you are amongst that special few, but you see I don't want to wait until the final match of Soul Survivor to test your mettle against my abilities. I wish to do it here tonight, to see for myself who among us is good enough, smart enough and skilled enough to become the Soul Survivor.

This contract does in fact say anyone on the roster, that would includes those whom are joining forces for SS as well. It should come to no surprise that this truce is only temporary in the first place. There is no love lost as they say. I shall grant you your match Syrus, so long as Mr. Payne grants me mine as well.

And he waits for the reply from either of the two men.

A triple threat match? I guess our little chat last week must've got you thinking about a couple of thing, huh? You know, to be honest I'm a little intrigued as to how things would go down if it ends up being the three of us in the final SS match myself. You could consider it to be something of a tune up match. Something to give each of us a taste of what we're bringing to the party.

Now I already know what Syrus can do, and so do you...but the you and me thing though Magnus? That's the big question mark of the moment. I don't mind one bit getting some answers here tonight, so you can count me in on that one.

Now all was left was the inevitable response of Syrus.
