TakeDown comes from Duluth, GA of all the place there could be, and as Jimi Hendrix's "Fire" begins to play the fans begin their fit of booing. Sylk isn't buying into it though. The look on his face had said it all.
Roach: Last week, the team of XXL, Marcus Samson and Steven Higby dashed that man's chances of becoming a two time Soul Survivor. You can see it in his eyes, Robby Sylk is not a happy camper right now.
BuZZ: Well, XXL got himself some big backup for SS. I'm calling it right now...those three are my favorite's to make it to the last leg. Even as impressive as the Payne/Styles/Xavier team was, what can you do against three giants like that?
Cut the music, cut the damn music!
He paused for a second, only to have to hear the Atlanta crowd start singing "Na Na Na Na-Na Na Na Na-hey hey hey-goodbye!!!". His response is a cocky smirk and a nod.
That's right gutter-jockeys, yuck it up. I know you all love the fact that my team got swept right out of Soul Survivor last week, don't you? I don't blame you one bit. It's almost human nature for people to root for the underdogs, and XXL...I don't care how big your team is, that's what the hell you were. What all have those three done anyway? One single handedly drops a couple of "yes men" and the other whipped the XWA's versions of Xerxes and Richard Simmons. What have I done? Only defeated everyone who thought they could outshine the GOLD*, that's what! One on One, Triple Threat, 4 Way Dance, it makes no difference!
As good as I am, they might as well give me a title shot here like they did that cry-baby Lionel "Xenophobe" Xander. At least I actually have earned my spot by winning and not whining.
Roach: Well, I see that defeat is not a humbling experience for Robby Sylk now is it?
You see ladies and gentlemen, I'm STILL the man in the pole position in the XWA. Just because of one minor setback, you must've thought that I was coming out here to call what happened last week a fluke. No people, I'm calling last week what it truly was, an upset. Like the Pats in the Super Bowl, one team was better on paper, the other was better on the field. I'm happy for you Luhter, I really, really am...but don't get your hopes too high. I'm hearing that there might be a chance to get back into Soul Survivor, and once that opportunity comes, you bet your obese, watermelon-chicken-n-grits asses that I'm back in it, and all will be right in the world yet again.
In the meantime, you won last week. That means you're in the SS event at the PPV. It also means that your itinerary tonight is empty.
BuZZ: Finally, I see where this is going.
Allow me to give you something to do, the same thing that everyone else around here has done when they step in the ring with me, get their ass kicked! There's a big difference when you've got the assistance of two fellow super heavyweights and when you're out there all alone against the man of the highest professional caliber. Tonight, one on one, you and me...I want you to experience the difference.
With that said, he tosses the mic to the canvas and heads to the back...
Roach: Well, a challenge tonight for XXL! I don't think he's gonna decline if you ask me. Well be keeping close tabs on this situation.
