Rangiku Nagano became her journey into wrestling at the age of 18. Already a fairly large female at the time, She was imposing to many of the other students, male AND female at the Dojo she attended. She began training in traditional Shotokan Karate at 16, but fell in love with wrestling when she saw the woman who would be her inspiration, the great Keiko Nakano, Japan's most legendary female (Joshi) wrestler. Soon after meeting Keiko in person, Rangiku made the choice that wrestling would be her calling. She would train an additional two year before trying out for Joshi Pro Wrestling. With her menacing size of 220 lbs at the time, JPW scouts fell in love with the fact that she was a classic bruiser in the style of Nakano. She would wrestle her entire career in JPW, becoming one of it's most dominant stars, and at 22 took on a similar mantle as her hero, "Bull" Nagano.
At 23, she would win the JPW World Title, and hold on to it for a record setting five years, losing in in mid 2007. A feat that solidified her as one of the best female wrestlers in Japan. Even after losing the title, she would continue to wreak havoc in JPW. After 7 years in JPW, Rangiku parted ways with the company on good terms. He goal was to try her hand in North America. After months of careful deliberation, she made the choice to enter the one organization in the US where female wrestling wasn't a mere novelty, XWA. Now under a lucrative contract, Rangiku Nagano has arrived on American shores, and the Diamond Division may never be the same after she's done with it.
