Backstage during TakeDown, Samson requests some interview time with Fabiola.

Fab: Alright Marcus, you have something you wanted to say? Now's your chance!

Thanks. You're right though Fab, I do have something to say and that something is specifically for one person in particular. Xander Xavier Luther. The word is that he's looking for some partners to face off against Robby Sylk's team tonight. That's just an opportunity that I can't pass up.

The reason I came back to XWA was because I wanted to step up my game. Because I wanted to show the world that I can be right up there with the big names that've made this place into what it is today. And how do they do it? By seizing the moment and going out all out. By living and dying by what happens in that ring. By making their own waves and not giving a damn what anyone, anywhere thinks about it but the people who matter the most.

For me, that's the proud members of the SamsoNation! All those people out there who I know have got my back! The one ones who willed me through one helluva battle at MayDay and who're gonna cheer me on tonight as I kick The Guru's ass! But that's not all I want.

It's all about Soul Survivor. It's all about being in there with the best of the best, and you better bet your bottom damn dollar that The Real Deal Man Of Steel wants him a piece of that action. So XXL, if you need manpower, you're not getting it here. With me, you're getting firepower, and that should be just enough the get the job done. You hear me, so let's hear you...

And he waits for a response from Luther now.

Xander enters the scene, giving the man a good looking over.

So, you want a piece of the action? You wanna step up your game? Well, after seeing what you pulled off at Mayday, I've got no doubt in my mind that you can play the game.

There's nothing more dangerous to the competition than a man who's got something to prove, and I'm exactly that. You've got the look and the sound of someone who's in the same boat, so if you want to ride, we can ride.

He extends his hand out to Samson in acceptance of his offer.

And Samson gives him a good, firm handshake to seal the deal.

And what a ride it's gonna be. Sylk & his boys aren't gonna know what hit 'em. When it's time to get down to business, come on and get me...meanwhile I gotta get ready for my warm-up match.

Fabiola: Wow. Just like that?

Just like that. That's how things are gonna start getting done around here while I'm around. Straight to the point.

Marcus then stepped away to get ready for the night, a night that could be really good, or really bad...but that's just how the business goes.

XXL grins as Samson exits. His attention turns to Fabiola who looks a little confused.

Fab: Um, Xander? Why're you all smiles now?

That's the tip of the iceberg, Fab. I told you all that I'm doing it big in 2008. The next move isn't just gonna be big. It's gonna be HUGE. Samson hit the nail on the head, they won't know what hit 'em.

And with that, he was gone as well. One teammate down it seemed, and one to go.
