Raising the difficulty (Invite)

Seven Nation Army plays over the PA, meaning the arrival of Tanden onto the Glitter scene. She makes her way out to the ring with her usual fan fair, blowing kissing to the boys and waving to the girls. Inside of the ring, Tanden is given a mic. She gets right down to work.

I've got one match under my XWA belt so far. A singles win over Kiss Wilmington. Now don't get me wrong, she's a touch cookie, no questions asked. But she wasn't exactly the flavor I was looking for. I'm looking to cut my teeth against the very best. And that got me to thinking. Why do it one by one? You see, the best way to test your ability is in the most adverse of situations. And there's maybe no situation more adverse then a Triple Threat match. So that's what I'm looking for tonight.

Travis: I know that Tanden's a little "out there", but who in there right mind asks for a Triple Threat?

Lucy: I'm sure there's a reason, Rosie. Let's see what it is.

Travis: Why do I feel like I'm stuck with that nickname now?

But my match tonight isn't going to be against a pair of random chicks. No way, Jose. Like I said, I want to test my ability against the best. And that's why I'm sending an invitation to two women in particular. A pair of women who in the last two months have beaten the crap out of each other. One, that I'm quite familiar with, the other that I've been looking forward to meeting, let alone facing in the ring. Those women are Helena Troy and Heather Fierhart.

The crowd roars from the insane challenge just issued.

Lucy: I told you she'd have a killer reason for her challenge.

The last time you two were in the ring, it was inside of a Steel Cage. A match that the Heather won. A win against either of you, let alone both of you ate once is going to do wonders for my standing in XWA. But it's bigger then that. The two of you are competing at a level that's hard to compare with. And being in the ring with that will only bring the best out of me. So how about it, ladies?

Tanden awaits the response of either woman.

Heather would be the 1st woman to emerge from backstage. As her music plays, she makes her way down to the ring and joins Tanden inside. Calling for a mic as her music fades, she answers the challenge.

You know something? I can always admire a gal who has ambition. And you coming out here and making that challenge shows that you have that in spades. I'm not gonna make this a long drawn out speech or anything. I don't think there's need to. What I will do is say that I most definitely accept the challenge. I think it's gonna be an exciting contest.

Heather lowers her mic.

From backstage, Helena steps out to the set. No music, just a mic. She addresses both women in the ring.

Ladies. Ladies. Please. Allow me to break up this little moment of positivity with something VERY negative. And what's that? Simple. The fact that I hate BOTH of you with a passion. Here stands two of the three women in this industry I can't stand the most. Heather Fierhart and of course my old friend Tanden Fearse. What? Didn't have enough of me beating you from pillar to post elsewhere? Hmmmph...who am I to argue with one's sanity. And trust me, this is far from a sane decision. I'm going to enjoy picking the two of you cheery CHUMPS apart tonight. And then, when all is said and done, I'll stand over both of your lifeless bodies with my hands raised high. Ask Tanden, and ye' shall receive...


An ASS KICKING. And as for you, Heather. *heh* This is going to be the 1st step in my payback. And trust me, you won't like the way the story ends, Ladies. TRUST me on that one.[/font]

With an evil grin, Helena awaits the next response.

Heather would be the one to respond 1st.

I really am glad that you're so confident, Helena. No...really I am. I was beginning to think I'd taken all of the fight out of you at Mayday. It's already been proven that I can take whatever the hell you can dish out. Be it in a cage, in a tag team match, 1 on 1, whatever. So you bring whatever storybook you have planned for your "payback", and I'll be happy to re-write a few chapters in it.

The fiery blond Dynamo was ready for action right then and there.

Helena grins while speaking these final, chilling words.

Don't you worry, Heather. It;s going to be a New York Times best seller. And the both of you play pivotal roles in it. You'lll find out what those roles are soon enough. In the mean time, I'll see the two of you in that ring later tonight.

Helena continues to grin evilly and lowers her mic. She takes a few steps back before turning and disappearing back behind the curtain of the set...

All Heather could do was look to Tanden with a slight bit of concern. She knew well enough to know that Helena could just about pull anything out of her bag of tricks. The scene concludes with both women preparing to leave the ring.
