Inside the fire by Disturbed begins to play over the sound system as Michael makes his way onto the entrance stage. Not wasting any time, he walks down the ramp and climbs into the ring. Going over to the opposite side of the ring, he reaches down for a mic and a stage hand passes him one. The musid fades as Michael begins to speak.
Now, I could waste some time and talk the talk without Nathan being down here, but that's not very sporting is it? So, I'm asking...no, I'm telling Nathan Browne to get his ass down here so I can talk smack directly to his face. Because that's the type of person that I am. So Nathan, hurry the hell up and get down here. Michael is all fired up here tonight. He looks ready to fight the moment that Nathan enters the ring.
Willy: A bit premature to get so riled up so quickly, but then again, I think Michael knows a thing or two about being premature.

And with that, Nate's music cues. The fans rise to their feet and give him a small applause. Let's face it, he was new. Not like they'd be worshiping him. He walks out onto the stage wielding one of the most powerful weapons in the wrestling industry, a microphone. Nathan looks around, then continues down the ramp and into the ring.
I'll put it this way, Mikey. I'm here to fight. I'm not here to make pals and friends. I'm here to knock peoples teeth in. And if you want to fight me then I want to fight you too. Look at me, Xavier. I have nothing to lose. I'm new in the business. You, my friend, are a veteran. You talk smack like you run circles around your opponents, while it's usually you on your ass while they get the quick 1-2-3. You're aiming at Jasta, while I'm aiming at a simple fight. Is that pressure on your shoulders? Hell yeah. Pressure can lead to bad cases of anxiety, and that's something you don't always want going into a match. Me? I've got no kind of pressure to actually win... But that doesn't mean I'm going to just lay down....
Which brings me to the next point. Ten dollars say you only picked me as your first opponent because you expected it to be easy. "Yeah, let's beat on the new guy". I hate to break it to you but I'm no push over. If you think this will be an easy win for yourself, then you might as well pack up your shit and leave the arena.
I told you this backstage. You beat me and I'll shake your hand like a man and tell you that you're the better fighter, but until you actually DO that, your words mean SHIT to me.

For your information, I didn't pick you expecting you to be easy. I picked you because you were the first one that I saw. I certainly hope that you aren't easy. I want a challenge out of all of this.
Now, my main goal may be Jasta, but there's no pressure on my shoulders. I'm taking this one match at a time.
No one gets a quick 1-2-3 on me. Anyone who has beaten me works their ass off to do it. That's something you're going to learn. That I'm not as easy as you think I am.
And in a Pure Rules match, I'm going to be even more dangerous.
And at the end of the match, win or lose, I will shake your hand for having a good match though. But know this. If I lose to you, then you will be on the end of my wrath because you will have cause my denial of Jasta.
So, if there is nothing else to say, let's shake on it and make it official. Michael holds out his hand, waiting for Nathan to shake.

Oh, but I DO have more to say.
So you're going to be all pissy if I beat you? Greeeeaaaat! I love your type. You know you lost so there's only one thing to do. Break everything in sight. What's best is when you can catch it on film and post it on Youtube..but that's another thing.
I never said you're easy pickings. I said you talk like you're Gods gift to wrestling, when the stats clearly show you've lost more times than you've won. Hell, I don't need to go far to find it, either! Those statistics are posted up on your page on the XWA website. What I said is you need to keep your damn words to a minimum in case you're dropped.
Pure rules? If I can recall correctly, I read something up about you saying you're trained in death-defying matches. I can't recall to correctly, because it was a long time ago, but you'd cause mayhem and terror all over the place with weapons. And pure rules? Guess what, pal. There ARE no weapons. There ARE no shortcuts. It's 100% skill and talent. Me? I'll come out and say it I've never swung a chair before. I've never climbed a ladder. I've never slammed a man into the wall of a steel cage. Why? Because I fight to show my TALENT. I fight to show my SKILL. I fight to show my STRENGTH. You dangerous in pure rules? With that background, no. Good luck, though, because this is a match that is in my favor.
Nate takes a step back. He was waiting for a response.

Weapons or no weapons, it doesn't matter. If you think I'm only trained in just weapons, you are sadly mistaken. I'm trained in a lot of styles. But you want to be narrow minded and assume that I've only trained in weapons. Well, you do that. Then, after I've beaten you down and pinned you for the 3 count, you'll realize that I'm trained in more than just weapons and you won't make the mistake of underestimating me.
You wanna use my stats against me. That I have more losses than wins. Ooooh. Big deal. Yea, I've lost, so what? It's how much of a hurt that I put on you is what matters. Anyone can win or lose, but its whether you can walk away from it is the question.
So, anything else you wanna waste air on Nathan? Or can we make this official so then you can stop wasting the crowd's time?

Well, since you want to get right to it, let's get this party started.
Nathan drops his mic to the canvas and eyes down Mike.

You and Me, Pure Rules, tonight.
Strap your laces up tight, it's gonna be one wild ride. Michael drops the mic and exits the ring. Never taking his eyes off Nathan, we talks up the ramp. His eyes deadlocked on Nathan. Michael cracks his neck and knuckles. It was knuckle up time and it would be one hell of a match.
