Ryan and Velvet make their way to Carmella's office. Ryan has his new mask pulled down around his neck, and his typical street wear..blue jeans a white tee and black sneakers. He gives the door a good whack, and looks over to Velvet.
I was reading a bulletin while we were heading over here, and it said something about the beat the clock matches for a shot against Keith Wyle. Carmella made the picks, and I'm in it. If that's her punishment for me, I love my job more than I did before.

Ryan opens the door, allows Velvet to enter first, then follows her in. He looks back at the door and shuts it behind him. They both take a seat across from Carmella.
Hey. Beautiful weather we're having, hmm?

Vel looks at Ryan and then back at Carmella.
Ryan here wants to explain his actions since we're assuming as President of XWA that you've already heard of what happened backstage involving Ryan a bit ago.

People don't normally come here to shoot the breeze, if you get my drift. I'm a businesswoman and a busy woman so let's get down to business here.
So it happened to be Ryan Blaze, once again now calling himself Ryan Blaze. He was accompanied by his manager Velvet, looking quite different and obviously a lot more confident assuming he had received word of the opportunity he had to main event at the Solstice PPV should he score the fastest fall in the Beat The Clock Challenge.
That wasn't all Carmella had on her mind of course.
Actually I'm happy that you decided to stop by, there are a few things that I wanted to speak to you about, but you first.

Tell me something.. Have you ever had someone you love threatened? Not anything minor, either. A death wish, if you will. Well, I received a phone call from Sabastien threatening Velvet. I personally don't think he has the right to be able to do something like that, but we seen his threat against Shawn Hollywood and his 'girlfriend'. Sabastien threatened to basically put Velvet in a cage match against Vikram if I didn't knock Maniac. I personally don't know what they could possibly have against each other, but I was the one to get the call. He stops briefly, hoping to God that she takes the bluff. It was somewhat believable, though, seeing as Gallas has threatened a woman to get into Hollywood's mind. Of course this was 100 percent false, but did Ryan care? No. I have nothing against Maniac. We had a match, he beat me, he was the better man. I want a rematch some day, so why would I do it on my own terms? I want him to be 100% ready.
There's my side. What did you want to speak to me about?

That's precisely what it was that I wanted to talk about. I know full well of the backstage attack on Maniac, he told me of it himself from the hospital. He's also pleaded for not to take any administrative action against you for those actions, and me being a person who believes in settling things the old fashioned way, I have every bit of confidence that when he does come to that Maniac will be more than ready to repay you for what you did.
Sebastien had nothing to do with that attack, but it doesn't matter now does it, seeing as from what I hear you've severed your ties with him. I hope you don't think for a second that your placement in this Beat The Clock Challenge coming up is a reward for that. You simply found yourself in the right place at the right time. I've got my eye on you though Blaze...you'd better be very careful because the moment I think that you are going to pull a stunt like you did with Maniac again, I will step in...and that's something that I don't think you want to happen.

Vel decides to step in now. Maybe she can swing things back in their favor.
So Maniac did call you? I bet you he didn't tell you everything. About how he plays nice to Kim and then when he thinks noone is around but him and Cabal he talks to Cabal about kidnapping her and keeping her out of Cabal's reach. About so called accidents that can happen to him. Maniac is nowhere near as much of a good as you think he is.
He got me started in the wrestling business. I know how he thinks. He's not going to just settle the score. He'll be looking to take Ryan out permently and then go back to harrassing Kiss. I have no doubt that Cabal could take care of Maniac in the ring but that's only in the ring. Maniac's a master at manipulating people out of the ring. Make you think he's the good guy when you're around but when he's not he'll show his true colors.
The guy was involved in kidnapping a 17 year old girl just to get to her brother. And his reasons for that. It was a game he wanted to play. Carmella can you at least do something to make sure Maniac won't go that far here? Maniac's just like Sebastian except for the posistion fo power. He won't stop just because you tell him to. He wants to break Cabal mentally and probably Ryan physically. Don't you think that would be going a little too far even for you?
Vel didn't want to have to reveal the game Maniac was playing with Cabal. At least not yet but she hoped it would help convince Carmella to do something to prevent Maniac from doing something most people would call drastic and unneccessary.

I'm very much capable of keeping the bad apples in check. If Maniac is this kind of person that you describe then I'll no doubt have my eye on him as well. As I said, I believe in settling issues of the ring inside of the ring. Executive intervention would be a last resort...I pay good money for referees without having to be one myself.
If it becomes necessary though, it'll be no different from how I deal with any matter-swiftly and effectively.

Vel sighs.
He's not someone you can just tell sit and you expect him to listen. He's only a good boy when he chooses to. We both know Ryan screwed up and he screwed up big time. We both know what Maniac's capable of in the ring. It's only in the ring you have any control over him, Carmella.
I'm sorry to say this but you're not as all powerful as you may think you are. You can't control Maniac as much as you may think you can. So why take the chance. The only way he'd listen to you is if you caught him before he could do anything and gave him a reason not to do it. He's almost like Shawn Hollywood.
He won't stop just because you say to. And having a group of people beating him senseless isn't going to work either. You need to find a bartering chip to use against him. Something he wants that he can't get if you won't let him. Unfortunatley I don't know of anything you can use against him. Can't you do something out of the ring to control him? Not for Ryan but for me? I don't know what I would do if I heard that Maniac took Ryan out before you could do anything because you basically dismissed Maniac's threat to Ryan.
Ryan may be an asshole at times but damn it he's my asshole and one of your superstars. Are you really willing to lose a superstar and one of the few managers XWA has because you feel Maniac won't go as far as I say he'll go?
