Michael listened in on the advice that was being given. He simply smirked. Most of it was good. Some definitely good advice to follow. He entered the room and gave some advice of his own.
Now Kris, you don't need to get the fans behind you as you have put it. Look at O'Dell. The fans hate him. Look at how on top of XWA he is. Myself, I could careless whether the fans are behind me or not. I don't try to concern myself with that.
There is one thing that does hold very true. People getting under your skin. I fell victim to that against Jasta. It may very well be one of the reasons why I lost to him. This time, I'm not making that mistake. With him or with anyone else.
You can be angry and not yell. You just have to know how to focus it is and control it properly. When you can control your own anger, you can become a very dangerous weapon. When you don't start behaving as people have you figured out as, it makes them uncomfortable, cautious. Because they don't know what to expect. That's truly how you can get over on someone. Do the unexpected. And I'm not talking about attacks from behind.
Lets use Sumya for example. she likes to insult you. Just let those insults roll off your back. Even if they get to you, don't show it. If Sumya sees that what she's doing isn't working, it will throw her off her game, thus making her more vulernable.
Now, if I could just listen to my own advice....

Take it from me. Wins.. losses.. titles, they all mean shit. Shit here, shit in Ohio, Toronto, Chicago, everywhere. Unless you have peoples respect, of your abilities and character, its all for shit. If you walk into that ring and the person across the ring from you thinks nothing of you, your half way to defeat already.
If they respect you, and know you can beat them, already your ahead of the game, it's just up to you and your skill to seal the deal.He folds his arms infront of himself as he continues All the belts I've won, nothing. The only thing worth a damn of my career, was being NAMED a Legend in Ohio, because it was bestowed upon me by my peers for my accomplishments and because they respected me. That means more then a simple little belt with plates on it. Especially the ones here. Not taking away from their worth, but I'll keep my Legendary status for life.. a belt can be taken away by an eye poke or even a simple punch on an off night.
Respect lasts.. titles just accumulate in numbers.

Hayley rolls her eyes at this classic display of overconfidence.
Spoken like a man who knows that he's probably held his last championship. Seriously, how can you stand there and say something like that? To all the guys out there who are busting their asses trying to make it, trying to make names for themselves...they'd be chomping at the bit to knock you the fuck out for saying some cockamamie cockiness like that!
It ain't where you're from Styles, it's where you're at. I woulda figured you learned from the first time that nobody here is sweating you or your "Legendhood" around these parts. Don't think that just because you're rolling with Evan right now that things are gonna be any different from when Punch was showing you up. You might have your Legend status for life, but I can count with one hand how many people here care for that, and if you said some crap like that in public, it would be a fist. Ever think that getting respect from your peers HERE might mean something, or is that not good enough for you?

Well, you know me...always the outspoken type. There's a thin line between confidence and just being plain old cocky, like no matter what happens or who does what it doesn't stack up to what you've done yourself. I'm just curious to know how someone like you even thinks they're going to get anywhere in this joint aside from stepped on thinking like that. I don't mean you bowing down to anybody...but you do realize that there is a pecking order around here, and by the sounds of it you don't seem too impressed with what they've managed to pull off here.
What makes you think that someone can't send you on your way one more time? If I were a guy, I know I'd sure as hell be putting you to the test.

Kristin then tries to remember what Kim asked herI think I said that middle-east girl, Sinclaire was having an affair with Sumya's husband, I saw her once with a big black dude by her side and I said "Hi Sinclaire" she grabbed me by the neck, pinned me against a wall and she told me "if you snitch to Sumya I'll kill you and I don't say that as a threat, I'll literally roll my hands on your neck and I'll pressure until you die of asphyxia!"
I didn't knew middle-easterns had that strange black humor... Why do you ask Kim?Kristin, clueless as always

***Kim didn't want things to escalate any further between Hayley and Sylas***
Wait, wait wait....we all know that we've done things in the past and they are important to us. Sylas has things that are important to him, I do, you do Hay, every single one of us do..........
BUT
Hay's right in a way, here we ALL need to focus on the here and now even though we've got our stuff in the back of our minds......right ??
***Kim turns her attention to Kristin***
You've just given me AN INCREDIBLE EDGE without knowing it girl....
***She smiled***

Maybe your ears need to be cleaned out abit Hayley. I don't hold myself over anyone but the trash that deserve to be treated as such. Does respect mean nothing to you? I basicly said I hold respect over gold. I'm not here for media friendly poses with a belt. I'm here to kick some ass and reclaim my glory. Distractions, side tracking and out of ring battles of wit ignored. What matters to me is IN the ring. Winning over the respect of the fans and the men across the ring from me, who either doubt me, or hold me on a lower level then the rest of this company. He shakes his head. How could something so pure, be twisted around. Oh right, women, they tend to do that to men. So he just shrugs it off. In the end, one match is just that, one match. One match does not make for the end of war. You fight, you claw and grasp your way to victory and keep going until your opponent fails to continue. When they don't come back for more, you've won. You stand tall and you feel abit stronger knowing YOU survived, and not them.

Well Sylas, you know what they say. One man's trash is another man's treasure. What happens when someone that you consider to be trash rises up and becomes one of the most respected members of a place? Do you consider them trash, or do you give them the respect that their peers have given them?

Oh, respect is everything to me Sylas, you better believe that, and every Diamond in this company has got it for me...that or they know enough not to mess with me. I'm the only one last year who didn't even try to go for a championship, even though I could have won one easy. There are the ones who don't know and the ones who know better, and those who know better know I'm not playing girly games out there. I don't leave a doubt in anyone's mind in anything that I do in that ring, whether it's winning a match or a title. Don't knock the next man's hustle just because it might not be the way you're going.
All that you're trying to work for right now, it's already in my back pocket. When people hear the name Hayley Jonas they don't do anything BUT respect it because I've put in the work here as much as anyone else who came along and stuck it out in '07. You sound like you've got your gameplan figured out though, but you oughta know better than anyone, same as Kim and Xavier over there that sometimes things don't exactly go as planned.
Michael poses a good question there though. Some of the top draws here are some of the most hated guys in this business...I mean, O'Dell's got frickin' stalkers and let's not even get into Punch's crazy ass. Don't you just hate shit-talkers who can back their words up? There's a lot of those types 'round these parts, you know. Man, why am I lecturing you? You're a pro right? You'll deal with the matter, but it's gonna be interesting to see how you go about that this time around, you know...whether it's going to actually be IN the ring as you say. Besides, you are buddied up with Evan in any case, I'm pretty sure he'll sort you out.
Did Hayley needs to bust the man's chops? Pick at his brain? Probably not, but as said before...she was being very, very cautious at that moment...and obviously not for the sake of Sylas', but Kim's. Bad reps are hard to live down without the right people to go to bat for you, but even though he might have gained the trust of Evan Fate...and apparently was slowly swooning Kim back into his favor, Hayley was gonna be a tough nut to crack...and in all reality, if he was trying to get back into Kim's good graces as a friend or otherwise, he was going to have to complete that challenge. If he could gain Hayley's respect and trust, the rest of the XWA would be easy.
Now...what's this EDGE you're talking about Kim?

A think she means Sinclaire having an affair with Sumya's husband. I'm glad I'm not him. That's all I can say about that...

Michael's right Hay.....the EDGE I'm talking about, the one that Kristin has just given me over Sumya is that a close personal friend of hers, someone she has trusted for YEARS is the one that was that was with her husband....
***Kim smiled devilishly***
It's brilliant.......

She places her hand on her temple.
Ugh, so much for this not becoming a soap opera. Look, I know you want to finish her and all, but don't forget that you and I have some business we need to be taking care of too. Glitter is coming fast and I'm looking to make a good first impression out there. Sumya is focussed on a title belt she probably couldn't wrestle out of Jamie Fury's hand if she chopped it off, but she's focussed on something...that's the point. We need to focus on something, and not her...not right now anyway.

Oh I know Hay, I'm just saying that now I have some ammo in my back pocket should I ever need to use it....right now I am completely focused on first getting on back on track, then getting our business taken care of on Glitter when it starts up.
