It was funny how things worked out sometimes. In the end the field of six women who entered the Battle Royal for XWA’s newest title narrowed down to the two with the longest standing rivalry. Cosette Grace squared off with Addison Grey once again in the middle of the ring after everything in what turned into a pure slugfest. They traded punches kicks and everything they had left after surviving the all the others
But in a flash that came to an end. Cosette had an epiphany. Win the match, for spite.
She found the presence of mind to reverse Addison’s final punch into a Fujiwara arm bar and ultimately into the crossface. She leaned back cranking the neck and waited, assuming this would slow things down, she was almost surprised when she heard the sound of her opponent tapping. The next sound she heard came from the ring announcer.
HERE IS YOUR WINNER AND THE FIRST EVER XWA PEARL CHAMPION, COSETTE GRACE.
The next thing she knew, “Prisoner of Society” was playing over the PA again and a referee was reaching for her hand to raise it She stands up and lets the ref guide her to the middle of the ring, it’s all she can do to keep from jumping up and down with joy.
It all built up to the moment of truth when they brought the belt in. Shiny, brand new, id didn’t even a have nameplate on it, but it was hers. They handed it over to her and she immediately climbed each ring posts holding it high over her head.
Her first title, she had done it.

Just as Ms. Grace was celebrating in the ring. Tessa's music begins to play as to the shock of everybody in the crowd, and Cossete who's in the ring. Tessa already had a battle of her own against Aimi. She has a microphone in hand as her music begins to stop, and the crowd gives a mixed reaction as Tessa looks out into the crowd, and then to the new champ.
Ms. Grace. I know that you are wondering. Why is tessa out here interupting my time as new champ? To be honest, I wasn't on coming out here to rain on anybodies' parade, but I was thinking that I have been here for a little while, and I got a few wins under my belt here already. Someone who's making a move up the diamond's division. I think it's time to keep moving up that ladder, and state my claim as one of the top ladies of this company. What better way to do that you might say?
she looks at the crowd, and you hear some cheers as they think of what's going to be said next.
To be the first lady to take that title off your hands! That's what!
Buzz: Someone decided to take a shot early before the champ can even celabrate her victory.
Mike: Doesn't even want to give her get a chance to breath.
Buzz: Sometimes you have to go for things even if it might ruffle a few feathers.
I mean no disrespect Grace at all, but I'm doing what this "Canadian cutie" needs to do get to the top. Just business you might say. Basically I am challenging you for that Pearl Championship at Indepence Day! What do you say Grace? You up for it?

Cosette slings the title over her shoulder, gets a microphone from the ring announcer and fixes her hair for a moment while she catches her breath. This was the high-pressure life of a champion.
Tessa, you were probably the last person I expected to come out here and be the first to congratulate me on my win. I’m also glad that this title, despite how new it is, means as much to someone else as it does to me.
I’m not the kind of person to deny a worthy challenger, and you most certainly are a worthy challenger. I’ve seen what you can do in the ring, I saw your win tonight and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t impressed. I would love to step into the ring with you, but I want to make one request, competitor to competitor. You see it seems like for ages now I’ve had an issue with the woman you just saw me defeat in the ring. Addison Grey.
Perhaps it’s just me being an ungrateful brat, but unfortunately the whole mother daughter thing she wished for doesn’t seem to be happening. I don’t think this is settled, and I’m willing to bet that she doesn’t think so either.
As it stands we’re at two to two so, here’s what I’m proposing Tessa. I’m willing to guarantee you a shot as long as I’m champion, since you were brazen enough to come out here right now, but at the big show, I want Addison one more time, one on one, title on the line, any match she wants. Sound good to you?

Tessa does not look to pleased with the offer seeing that Tessa did step up to the plate, and got first dibs on challenging the new champion, and now to deny her? What the fuck was that about?!
Let me get this fucking straight! You are going to deny me the right that I know deserve for this title because you want to give someone else an oppurtinity because of a love hate rivarly you have with some cookie bitch!? Ever think that this bitch already had her shot when she entered into this battle royal, and its time for someone you haven't met in the ring to get her chance! How about if you get past me than you grant her the title shot that you want to give her!

Cosette the Diplomat apparently wasn’t the master negotiator she imagined herself to be. She seems offended by Tessa’s comments, but maintains her stiff upper lip, trying not to let it affect her.
Pardon me, Tessa but I haven’t denied you anything. In fact I fully intended to give you exactly what you wanted at the next installment of Takedown and I’m certain Addison wouldn’t be mad enough to deny you your shot either. In fact your shot would have been guaranteed.
She looks a little disappointed and her tone borders on sarcasm.
I simply wanted to settle a longstanding rivalry, a series tied at two, on a grand stage with the stakes higher than ever. But I suppose if you don’t agree to the deal it just won’t happen. I suppose it’s fate’s way of punishing me for my vanity. I know what my station entails, I understand my duty. There are rules a champion must abide by. If an eligible challenger makes a demand I’ve no right to refuse, do I?

Is getting more pissed off by her words, and starts pacing, and begins to speak.
You know what, keep dodging me all you want so you can have fun with that cookie bitch. Know this, there will be a time where you can't dodge me no more, and will have to face the music that you will have to face me for that title even if you get past the bitch that you are feeling the need to grant a title shot against. From now on, watch your back! Never know when I might turn up!
She says that last words with a snarl, and growl to them. She leaves backstage.
