"Wild Thing" James Bowen is resting comfortably after undergoing a successful knee surgery.
Doctor: Mr. Bowen had suffered severe ligament damage in his left knee. For many years, he had kept putting off the surgery, until it became unbearable.
The doctor reviewed the footage of James' last match, pausing where James injured his knee and pointed at the screen.
Doctor: When James took this bump, he damaged his knee further.
He then changed tapes to the footage of his knee surgery.
Doctor: There you see the major damage of years in the ring. My suggestion for Mr. Bowen is to lighten his schedule a bit, so he doesn't risk another serious injury like this and his in-ring career could last longer. James is expected to make his return either around September or October. He will be undergoing treatment to rehab his knee to get back at 100%.
