Daph is actually a rich kid, born the only daughter of a CEO and his wife living in sunny California. She grew up with two older brothers in a very strict household, their father holding them to high standards in studies, behavior, basically everything. Naturally like most kids who're constantly nagged by their parents to be the best in everything, Daphney grew to be a defiant little brat, constant screaming and carrying on, making a nuisance of herself whenever she could. Her parents had no choice but to send her off to a boarding school.
What a mistake that was.
The mission was to whip her into shape, make her into a lady. The only thing they succeeded to do was piss her off even more. After a year in the school, she drove the headmistress insane with her pranks and at one point nearly burned the bitch down with everyone in it. Daph narrowly escaped police custody (she actually stole a cop car to be more specific) and traveled the country. All the while she grew found of the whole punk subculture and all that it stood for, being standing against the establishment and the status quo.
Ironically, she made her way back to California, and Hollywood to be exact where she had continued to run a muck however possible. She even started to video tape her renegade exploits and post them on YouTube...and gained quite a following too. It was only natural that it led to one thing, a reality TV Show! Now it was professional cameras following her as she continued to rampage against the machine, whether it was the media, politics, anything that pissed her off, nobody was safe.
In her misadventures, she even got involved in one of those independent wrestling shows. So she was actually a trained wrestler, she knew how to kick people's asses...that's all she needed right?
After a few months of getting contorted in positions that would make a Yoga instructor proud, she decided to actually get some training in wrasslin'...but the corporate dogs who were leeching off her reality show didn't mention she was only getting 15% of the profit from it. Shoulda read the fine print. What else could she do? She beat up the camera man and pawned the sucker for money for a training camp. Six months later she actually had some know-how and even won her first match! The infatuation with wrestling didn't seem to go away though, so she continued to compete.
Daph gained quite a following, some would almost call it a cult following and that's when one night a flyer for an XWA event slapped her in the face (it was windy!). Her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree...these girls are supposed to be the best in the business, and XWA was getting worldwide exposure. That was the perfect place to cause some more ruckus, and actually get a decent paycheck for it!
Or she could go back home to her parents and ask for some cash, but as you've read...Daph doesn't do things the easy way. ;D
