The lights in the arena dim as "Ladies & Gentlemen" begin to play. Tommy & Liani step out from backstage met by the boos of the fans. The "Darling Duo" make their march down to the ring, with Tommy hoping up on the apron to hold the ropes open for Liani. Inside of the ring, Tommy is handed a mic. He looks out to the sell out Tokyo Dome crowd for a moment before speaking.
XWA Vendetta. How fitting I make my PPV debut in XWA, in one of the venues that I've seen PLENTY of success in. I'll take you all back to two years ago. Strong Style Wrestling. The event was SSW "Super Clash". I know many of you remember that night. It was a one night only tourney to decide the fate of SSW's Continental Championship. And I fought my way through 4 other men in a field of 16 to win it. One of the defining moments in my career. And not soon the last. You see, I've got big plans here in XWA. REAL big plans. I personally feel I need just a few more matches under my belt to be what I call "Title Ready", but it's not a matter of if I beat the next guy, but HOW. That's my focus for May. But for tonight? I've got but one person on my mind. That person is Jeff Heaven.
Tommy shakes his head as the crowd comes to life at the menion of Jeff's name.
I...I don't get you people. I've yet to be pinned in XWA, he's won ONE match in XWA, yet you idiots cheer him? You people are just as dense as the fans back home in the states. It's sickening. But I've stood in this spot before. Three weeks ago, I called Jeff out to this ring. I challenged him, and I kicked his ass. So I know what you're all wondering. Why do it again? Why you ask??? Because the last show left a bitter taste in my mouth. No, I wasn't pinned, but the fact is that me and Scott lost, PERIOD. And losing never sits well with me. So tonight, here in the Tokyo Dome, a venue that neither Jeff or myself is a stranger, I deliver him yet another defeat. But this time, a decisive one. One that will stand out in my run to an XWA championship. So Jeff, you might wanna remember to bring that 4 leaf clover to the ring with you again. You're gonna NEED it.
With a smark expression on his face, Tommy looks to Liani and nods. They await the arrival of Jeff Heaven.
