As Vibrant Thing hits the PA, out to the stage steps the new XWADiamond Chmapion, sporting the brand new Diamond Championship Belt...
Roach: Check out the bling on Ms. Fierhart!
Buzz: I've said this a THOUSAND times before, but she's gotta be the hottest, hardest workin' girl in the business. And I hop to GOD her brother beats that asswipe O'Dell's ASS later tonight.
As she makes her way to the ring, she waves to her adoring fans. "Queen Of Wrestling" signs pop up all over the arena. She enters the ring and is handed a microphone. The champ has something to say.
Tonight, six of the best and brightest XWA Diamonds will be competing to become XWA's first ever Pearl Champion. And to all the girls, Chloe, Mari, Zoli, Cossette, Addison...and yes even Sumya, I say good luck to you all, and may the best Diamond win. But that's not my real reason for being out here. Over the course of the last two weeks since winning this title from a VERY game and capable Angel Storm, I've had time to reflect on my career. On my beginnings as being a valet for Andy and his best friend Elai Kolenovic. Up onto my pro wrestling debut in WWAW. My MANY heated battles with the likes of Nikki Rollins, Melissa Stein, Synergi and of course the one and only Sara Warfield. You see, I've come a long way to being at this point. Being regarded the BEST female wrestler in the world. And it's a title that comes with ALOT of pressure.
A voice booms from out of the crowd screaming "WE LOVE YOU, HEATHER!!!"
I love you guys, too. *giggle* In fact, it's all of you fans who make this worth while. In February when I cam back to wrestling after a 9 month hiatus, I really had no idea where things would lead me. We all know what I did elsewhere. I climbed to the top of "there" Women's division in a matter of months. Weeks it almost seems like. Sure, I beat some of the big names in the process. But it almost didn't seem worth it. Why you ask? Because there was no drive in these women. No fire. No passion. You see, In Toronto, it was the men who pretty much ran the show. I joined up there hoping to help make there Women's division something special, but my reason for leaving is something I've kept to myself, and even my own friends and family for months now. A reason I want to share with EVERYONE tonight.
The competition. Or lack there of.
Buzz: WOW, those are some bold statements from our Diamond Champion.
Roach: She's earned the right to speak her mind. I think she's been chompin' at the bit on this since she came to XWA.
I don't know how to say this without coming off as having some kind of ego, which I don't. But...well...My time as a "Rose" taught me a lot of things. Namely what I didn't like about this industry I hold so dear to my heart. There are a couple ladies here in XWA that were with me up north, and a few who are still under contract with them, so they know what I speak of. There are some A-List competitors up there. Ladies who in the past had made strides into taking our sport forward. My thoughts on what was at fault for what I feel was "The downfall" of there women's division? ESTROGEN. And WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to much of it. It seemed as if every woman up there was chasing after a man. I don't even NEED to name specifics. Even the three ladies who "supposedly" ran the show. Chasing after there own employees. The moment I saw that happen, that's pretty much when the wheels began to turn that Toronto was not the place to be. When it gets to the point where you're asking "Who's sleeping with who?" more then "Who am I facing this week?", you know there's a problem.
Cheers continue to ring out from the crowd as Heather continues.
But just when I thought all was lost, I hear of this unknown girl who had made the biggest leap for Female wrestling in over a decade. A girl named Ashley Diamond. She wasn't the prettiest girl. She wasn't the most "voluptuous" girl. But what she was...was a scrapper. A fighter. A woman who put her heart and soul into everything she did, and DOES in this ring. And I heard of all the other ladies like her. Chloe Lockheart. Sayuri. My old buddy Hayley Jonas. I even heard that some of, if not the MAIN "Hormonal" chick was here as well. But thankfully she was ceremoniously ousted, as well as a few others who didn't fit the title of what we are. DIAMONDS. That's what impressed me the most. When Carmella Blackheart gave me the pitch about being A Diamond, I was sold from the moment she closed her mouth. "The Beautifulest, Strongest, and most purest female athletes in the world". AND of course "The only thing that can defeat a Diamond, is another Diamond". That's when I knew I wanted to be a part of this. And now, 3 months later, I'm exactly where I was before I left Toronto. Holding the company's Women's title. But this one here, this one means something. It signifies that I've finally stepped out of my family's shadow, and have arrived as force all my own. And for that I am truly greatful.
The fans rise and give Heather a standing ovation.
Thank you. Thank you all. I don't know how long I'll be XWADiamond Champion, but I promise to each and every one of you that I will carry this title with grace and poise. The best has yet to come from Heather Fierhart. That I can assure you. And in the spirit of competition, I'm putting out an open challenge any of my fellow Diamonds not involved in the Pearl Title Battle Royal, to face me One on One in a non-title bout. Let's show the whole world why we TRULY are deserving of the title "Diamonds".
Heather stands proudly in the middle of the ring. She awaits her challenger for the XWA Supershow.
