Finesse already stands in the middle of the ring. As his music dies down, he brings his mic up to speak to the masses.
It's been 3 weeks since I last wrestled a match in this ring. Maybe you all remember it. I made Mr. Donut...I mean Chris Steel eat his words. But 3 weeks in this business is a long time. I've been takin' in matches in XWA's Long Island developmental promotion, because even I have kinks that need to be worked out. And when I heard XWA was making a trip to Japan, oh you KNOW ya' man Finesse had to come on board. If MSG is "The Mecca", then Budokan Hall has to come close as one of THE venues in Pro Wrestling. Mitsuhara Misawa, Anthony Inoki, The late Shuhei Baba, The late Monomi Tsuruta. LEGENDS of Japan. All have bled for wrestling in Japan, and paved the way for not just Puro wrestling, but in many ways, wrestling in the states as well. The chance to wrestle in these hallowed halls is one that I can't pass up. So here's the deal. I'm not just throwing out any old challenge. I'm lookin' for another one of "the new class".
The sudden rush of excitement comes over the crowd as Finesse makes his challenge.
We all know how it is in XWA, you get it where you fit in. And I'm lookin' to get in real deep from here on out. But I'ma do it the right way. It's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ladder to the top, but if there's one thing that the World Champ Ethan Bain has shown us, is that the fastest way up is not around, but THROUGH. And tonight, I'm ready to run through another chump like a fat dude through Sizzler, ya' heard? I don't care who you are, what you are, or how tough you are. All I care about is if you're one of the new jacks of XWA, and yo' ass is lookin' for a fight or not. Holla at ya' boy.
Finesse lower the mic, look to the stage, and waits for his challenger.

As you see today I came here as a spectator but seeing you laying this challenge, gave me tonight the eye of the tiger  Syl jumps from the drafters and gets in the ring, he's wearing his pink tuxedo as always, he gets in the ringWow, I ain't really prepared for the match, I don't wanna ruin this dress  But I guess the boys in the back can handle me something, in fact it was me the one helping them choose this fancy attire you are wearing right now

Suddenly, Strata's "Today" sounds on the PA. Into the arena steps for the 1st time in 2008 Shane Camden. The crowd rises to it's feet as he makes his way down to the ring. Inside, he calls for a mic. Shane turns and look at Finesse momentarily, before looking back out to the crowd, who were still going nuts at his arrival. He raises his mic to answer the call.
Now I know I'm not exact a "New Jack", but in a a way I am. You see, for the better part of my career, I've been a tag team wrestler. But late last year, my partner and friend Alex Price suffered a career ending injury at a house show, and I've been trying to break into singles wrestling once again. So in that regard, 2008 IS my rookie season as a singles wrestler. I did a few shows back in the old LXW, yea...but nothing I even count as being a foundation. But this year, my goal is just like your, Finesse. To leave my mark on this business. That's the reason why I'm out here. And that's the reason why I'm accepting your challenge tonight. I can think of nothing better then two young guns, dead center in this ring looking to prove nothin' more then who's the better wrestler. Devlin and Hayden hit it on the nail earlier. Honor IS a lost art in wrestling. I guess it must be the whole atmosphere of being in Japan. But if you're looking for an opponent, look no further my friend.

Finesse nods convincingly.
You know what? I say how about we get one more dude out here...well...I mean seein' as we have two dudes and whatever the hell this thing in Pink is...and we make this REAL interesting. As in Battle Royal interesting.
The crowd roars in approval of Finesse's suggestion.

It wouldn't take long for that request to be filled, as Matt Winters would be the next man to step up to the plate. With a mic of his own in hand, he joins the other men in the ring.
You know something? This is almost to good to pass up. Here we have three guys, or two guys if you wanna be technical...uhm...ok. For the sake of the argument three guys looking to make headway. And my last match wasn't one of my better performance. But don't be fooled, I'm only new to XWA. New to the business I'm not. But I'll save the whole "experienced" speech. It's tired as hell anyway. My goal in XWA is to be not a champion, but THE champion. And like you said Finesse, it's a long road getting there. So as far as this little Battle Royal match, you can count me in.

Matt brings his mic back up for a response of his own.
Luck is gonna have nothing to do with it, my friend. Nothing at all. The winner of this match, is the man who fights the smartest fight. And I pride myself of being the smarter wrestler. I may not be the fastest, or the strongest, but I damn sure and the most savvy. When all is said and done on my XWA career, I plan on having the words "The Greatest Technical Wrestler in XWA" printed before my name. Matt...Winters. I'll see you gentlemen later tonight.
Matt had his game face on already. He looks to the other three men and gives them a nod before taking leave of the ring.

Shane looks to Finesse and shrugs. Didn't seem to be anything more left to say. He also exits the ring to prepare for the match.

Win or lose, it was going to be an interesting contest between very unique styles of wrestling. And Finesse was looking forward to getting back in the ring after his 3 week hiatus. Like the others, he takes leave of the ring, and the show moves on to the next schedule match.
