[Syrus The Entertainer]

A specially designated are backstage was the scene as cameras rolled for exclusive post match footage for the1xwa.net. It was a conference room where awaiting inside was press from several outlets, wrestling news sites & magazines from around the world and XWA correspondents. With a towel around his neck Syrus strutted his way inside after one hell of a match against one hell of an opponent in Magnus Von Schwartz. The flash of the cameras was almost simultaneous as he raised his arms in victory before sittting himself down at the table affixed with microphones.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages. Out there tonight you witness one of the greatest matches in XWA history, and it wasn't even Pay-Per-View! That right there, what you saw in that ring bewteen me and Magnus is what you should all expect from Syrus The Entertainer every night I step in between those ropes!

Reporter#1: So what's your opinion of the opponent you faced out there?

My opinion? Magnus? You know he might not be winning any personality contest in the near future, but I'll give him credit where it's due cuz the man can wrestle his ass off. All that talk about him being a pure grappler and a solid athlete, I can tell you right now it's all true. He's gotta be like what, 40-something and in that kinda shape? That's all well and good, but you see now who's the man who's on the winning end, right? I told you Mag, don't sleep on a brotha. You getcha self fooled on the fro and the slick moves and you getcha pinned FTGDMFW, know what I'm saying?

Reporter#2: Even now with this being the first show of the 2008 Season, a lot of us think as well that your match might be one of the best of the year right now. Any thoughts on that?

Well the year is a long, long time from being done my man so that's jumping the gun a bit now that I think about it. There's plenty of fine talent on both sides of the sexes in the X-Dub, but I'll say one thing for ya'll right here and now...when the smoke settles and they do make a claim for what is the hands down best match this company has put forth in all of 2008, you betta damn well believe that Syrus The Entertainer is gonna be involved in it! I said it once and I'll say it again, *dropping his finger down on the table as he syllablizes* THIS...IS...MY...YEAR!!! I can't spell it out any clearer than that, brotha!

Beginning to get up from the seat, suddenly the reporters turn their attention to someone else who is making his appearance.

The man making his presence known was Syrus' opponent Magnus. He literally kicked the door to this room open and visibly was not in the best of moods, assuming that Magnus was ever in a good mood. The cameras turn to him as he sets his sights on Syrus. He slams his fist down onto the table.

Do you think for one moment that you have bested me, boy? Do you think think you have proven anything with this victory? You have only shown the world tonight that you are capable of seizing an opportunity. I have only a shred of respect towards your end for that, but otherwise you have not proven or impressed with your so-called ability. This is not the end Syrus, it is only the beginning. When I am done with you these people here will know the difference between us. The difference between myself and every other man AND woman who competes in this or any other company.

You have only succeeded in submerging yourself in hostile waters with a shark that smells blood. You have provoked a wilder beast in his own habitat and for this there shall be severe consequence to pay.

Ay yo yo yo yo yo yo yo! What do you think this is dog, politics or something? You think this is all about approval ratings or something? I mean it was then I'd be ahead on you in the polls at least as far as the fans go. As far as you and me go though, I don't give a damn if you don't respect my skill, dog...you will respect me though, that's for damn sure. Something is telling me that you just ain't understanding the way things go around here, Mag.

You and me, we tore down the Prudential Center tonight my man. You came out there and you made me work harder in that ring than I ever had to before. See unlike you I gots respect for a dude that can bring it, but in the end you just couldn't get the job done my man, and in the end Mr. King Of Sport that's what counts. It ain't how you start brah, it's how you finish and tonight we all saw how I finish. The same way I do everythang and anythang home-skillet...B-I-G.

A little laugh culls from Magnus' gut.

Your swagger is warranted tonight Syrus, but I must correct you in one thing, one thing I assume that you are too dense to pay attention to when first it was that I mentioned it. You have not finished anything tonight. You have only started your journey down a road that is rife with nothing but pain and suffering.

So I have pushed you to your limit? Good, then I have indeed done what it is that I set out here to do, because it is not an easy task to defeat me. No one, NO ONE shall complete that goal so easily as you yourself have found out tonight. But once again you have proven that you are an opportunist. I have yet to be sufficiently convinced that you are a wrestler. It will take a thousand victories for you do achieve that goal against me, one proves nothing but that you had to give everything you had to defeat me. I will not require as much effort the next time.

At that point Syrus got up from his seat. The press was filled with anticipation as he stared Magnus down face to face, eye to eye.

I gotta give you some credit where it's due. Losing damn sure doesn't humble you much now does it? So when do you want the next time to be? You just pick the showdown and I'll show up, and I'll be sure to get my count down to 998 victories against you when I do.

Hmm Hmm Hmm Hmm...you will not have to wait very long for your next opportunity. The next TakeDown program under the same parameters as tonight. I can sense your eagerness. A victory gives false hope and blind faith in the eyes of one who does not understand the true nature of competition. You will learn, boy. You shall learn, and we shall see if you have the same swagger when next we meet.

The scene of these two men standing face to face would be one that will be all over the internet in only a few short moments. The cameras still flashed and the reporters showered Magnus with questions as he backed away and left the room, but he would not acknowledge them. The first night was over and now it was time to prepare for a second encounter.
