March Madness has come and gone. And low and behold the result. Victory. Not just for myself. But for every member of the Coalition who competed. Though in the case of one, Ryan Blaze, he barely even won his match. And it certainly wasn't a decisive win. I wonder to this day what Primo was thinking even bringing a child into our fold for. And I say child because though he's in his early-mid 20's, as far as the business goes, he's still an infant. Whatever it is that Primo sees in him, I don't. He's been nothing short of atrocious in his last two matches. Within the next few weeks, I plan on testing his mettle, and seeing if he indeed belongs under our wing. I'm saying it right here, right now. The next month is make or break as far as Blaze OR Styles being a member of the Coalition.
And speaking of make or break, let me say a few words about my last opponent Adam Devlin. I respect a man who fights until he can't any longer. And despite the fact that I busted him open, he still kept coming. That takes grit that you don't see often in this day and age of wrestling. Adam is a lot like Ryan Blaze, in that he's still very early in his wrestling career. But he's got skill that can't be overlooked. In time, he'll be one of the best ever. A future hall of famer mentioned in the same sentence as the legends of yore. But 20 years is a LONG time. And to coin another man's saying "I'll still be that much better". What people fail to realize is that I'm not an rookie. XWA, is not my 1st dance. I've been wrestling for the better part of 15 years. And wrestling professionally for over 11 now. The reason why before XWA you never heard of me, is because I didn't fight to be "heard of". Fame means nothing to me. I fight to be the best on the planet. And I'd be hard pressed to find a man in the industry talented enough to prove otherwise.
This brings me to my next subject. The man who all of a sudden want to come out of the wood work to face me. Men like Michael Xavier, Syrus Sykes and of course Van Hayden, who's made it his mission to avenge the critical loss I handed him last year. The loss that put him out of action the last 2 months of the 2007 season. Each one of them come in with confidence. Each on of them a talented superstar in his own right. But let's look at what we have here. Xavier is a proven superstar. A veteran like myself. But his XWA career is marred by struggle and lack luster performances. Sykes is riding high right now. He's defeated one of the best technical wrestlers on the planet 3 times now. But in all honesty, Magnus is a man who's trained for years in the "Strong Style" of wrestling. Not the farce of the sport they call wrestling in North America. Let's see Sykes beat Magnus in HIS style of match. And finally Hayden. He looked impressive in his matches alongside of Ryan Fierhart. Even more so in that despite the fact that his side lost both contests, he was never pinned. But the fact of the matter is he LOST. Granted, I lost one of my matches before March Madness as well, but we all know what I did to the man who pinned me.
So in all, 3 men have emerged to seek claim to MY XWA National Title. A title I've now carried for 7 months. The longest reign of ANY champion in XWA. But gentlemen, I've no intention on losing it to any of you. You're all good. But none of you are good enough. A fact I intend on proving over the month in April. How fitting that we travel to Japan for the next 3 shows. Because Japan, the Tokyo Dome is the location of my last singles defeat. The GWGP Finals, where I lost to a man that one day soon I plan on settling the score with. A man worthy of my challenge. In April, we'll see which on of you is worth of the same.
