Recently, the1xwa.net got word from XWA Diamond Marisol Cardinale from Tokyo, Japan. She had not been seen on XWA TV since the night of the inaugural Pearl Championship Battle Royal, won by Cosette Grace. Here's what the Columbian spitfire had to say:
"I've really enjoyed my first year in the industry. Through it all I think that I've made my father-God Bless Him-very proud of me with all that I've done. However, I came to the realization after that match that if I were to become something even more than what I am that I have to put in a more serious commitment to it than I have. That is why I'm hear in Japan.
For the past few months I've been training and studying at the Togo Wrestling Gym here in Tokyo, founded by one of Japan's greatest in-ring performers Yoshi Togo. I've learned so much more about the sport here, it really is a very big deal in the East. Right now I'm training directly under Tadako Anenokoji, whom some of you might have seen in her brief stint in North America early this year. Under her wing I've learned so much more about this industry and the science of wrestling itself. I believe that I will be more than ready to return to XWA in 2008 and continue to entertain the fans."
She gave no word as to when her training would be complete, but confirmed to us that whenever the Season Premiere of TakeDown takes place she will be there and ready for action.
