The cameras pan accross ringside, and catch sight of Chris Lionheart sat on the front row. He is decked out in red, white and black. His tshirt has ripped sleeves, and his leather pants have a spectacular mixture of red and white designs on them. With his bandanna and overgrown sideburns he looks like an "nWo Wolfpack era" Macho Man Randy Savage. He would look pretty cool if it wasn't for the huge white neckbrace around his neck.
The XWA's interviewer asks him what he's doing here, why he has a neckbrace on, and if he's retired or not.
Well you know something, XWA interviewer, I had considered retirement. I'd sent word to my closest friends, and I was seriously going to walk away from it all. I was resigned to leave active competition and continue on with my desk job, of being XWA's webmaster. But hell, I just couldn't keep away. So no, I'm not retired, and I'm still apart of XWA's active wrestling roster. I bought myself a ticket tonight so I could watch the action up close and personal.
So far I've been very impressed. I've seen some new guys debut,
Like Damien Ortiz. A submission artist after my own heart. Although I never trained him personally, I know from Genesis' past in-ring encounters with myself, that Damien knows his way from a wrist lock to a leg lock in a matter of seconds.
I've even seen the re-debut of one superstar I always hoped to see again. It's certainly nice to see Chris 'Havik' in an XWA ring again. I look forward to facing him if I get the opportunity.
Anthony Xavier. He's a guy I've known since 2005 when he debuted as a red-headed fire-breathing Mad Dragon. If he ever needs a hand or just fancies jumping into the tag ranks again, all he needs to do is say the word.
Toreno's got this whole Old School USA vs New School Japan... or something... going on. That looks like it's going to be a great match between two young wrestlers. We all know how much time I've spent trying to help and coach the younger guys into stardom. My friendship with Toreno and interest in Ryen Thorne's character has me split right down the middle in eager anticipation.
I sat back and I saw a man that I have unfinished business with, Kayn, call out a man who not only holds the belt I want but I also have some old business with, Blade Meyers. In a fairy tail world, I'd love for one of those men to walk down the ramp and offer to make it into a three way match with me included. But for now I'll say good luck to both competitors and also 'watch out'. I want a match with the winner at TakeDown....
Lionheart reaches up to his neck, removes the neckbrace, and uses his hands on either side of his head to crank his neck from side to side.
This neckbrace was a reminder that there's a wealthy bounty on my head. Someone attacked me a few weeks ago a the season two premier of TakeDown in the parking lot. They injured my hand and my neck. No... I didn't see whom it was. I've been told that a pitchfork dropped something heavy over on top of me, but the culprit was never found. That's why you've not seen me since then.
But Prime, the hand is fine, as you can see the neck is fine, the head.... is a little crazy. The doctors have told me that I'm not in control of my emotions, I don't currently have a balance. Basically I'm completely unstable! But that's perfect because this event is called Madness, and that's exactly how I feel. And I'm ready to come back and kick whomever's ass it was that tried to earn that dirty, dirty money. Hell, I don't care if it is them that steps forward. Tonight... I'm here to fight! So somebody please come out from the back, and see if you can win yourself some of Prime's money by going one on one with me in that ring later tonight!
