The crowd had just witnessed an amazing match and were ready for the next match to begin, however for that would happen, Korn’s “Got the Life” played over the PA system. The crowd booed as Loki walked out on the stage wearing his trademarked green suit. He walked down the ramp and into the ring with a microphone in his hand, he seemed to have one thing on his mind and he was about to talk about it. As his music slowly faded into nothing, Loki looked up the ramp and began to speak.
Last week on Takedown, after my pitiful performance, I was in my locker room rather frustrated when I was joined by a few other superstars. One of them tried to get my spirits up, some of them used my shower as if it was their own, and one of them gave me no end of grief. The latter of them was one Lash Levine. He took it upon himself to berate me in front of whoever was standing in the room, well if there is one thing you do NOT do to an Alverton, that is berate them. Lash, I do not know where you came from, nor do I care, what I do care about is facing you in a match right in this ring tonight.
Loki paused for a moment as the crowd didn’t know how to react to Loki. This wasn’t the same Loki that just a few short weeks ago was cruel towards the fans in New Jersey. This Loki seemed more focused and determined than ever before. Loki began to pace the ring and look out into the crowd.
I will be the first to admit my start here in the XWA is not as I had hoped it would be. After facing two opponents that were, quite frankly, not normal, I will finally have an opponent who is not some type of creature, but rather a man. A man who disrespected me in front of one of the staff members of this organization and a man I considered a mentor in a way, one Mr. Steele, the way I had disrespected all you fans in the past. Well that all changes tonight. Tonight you all will see a new Loki Alverton, a winning Loki Alverton. Lash, Mr. Steele, “The Golden Boy” will be victorious this evening, and that is a promise you can all bank on.
Loki lowers his microphone to a small amount of cheers from the crowd, he climbed out of the ring and began to head up the ramp into the backstage area after saying his piece.
Roach: Wow Buzz, Loki seems to be fired up and ready to compete tonight.
Buzz: I don’t know if I’m going to like this “new” Loki, I think he should just stay the way he is.
Loki reaches the stage area, takes one last look down to the ring and walks behind the curtain.
