Just as the show kicks off, and the smoke clears from the array of pyro that marked the start of March Madness, Coolie Budds' "Come Around" hits the PA. The crowd stands on it's feet as they knew exactly what was going down. Jayson Jones emerges from backstage with a grin on hos face. There was no way he was going to miss out on XWA's 1st PPV of 2008, especially since there was unsettled business that needed to be handled, TONIGHT. Jay-J makes the walk down to the ring and enters. Handed a mic, Jay-J gets right to business.

Aight, DC. Tonight's tha' night. The most long awaited night in pro wrestling. The 1st PPV of XWA 2008. Why is there so much anticipation? Is it because we crown us the 1st X-Gen champion tonight?

The crowd cheers. Jay-J smirks and continues...

Nah, that ain't it. Is it because we crown a new WORLD champion tonight?

The crowd cheers even louder, Jay-J shakes his head and adds...

Nah, that ain't it either. Tonight's the most anticipated night in wrestling, because tonight we see a rematch that's been 5 months overdue. A match that everyone and they momma wants to see. A match that I've been lickin' my chops since Xgames last year to get. Me and Mr. Franchise, ONE ON ONE.

The crowd roars in approval of easily the biggest matchon the March Madness card.

Now ya' see, Scotty boy's been ridin' a nice lil' wave of success recently. And it all started in October, when he 1st pinned me. And he's been rdin' it ever since. He beat me 2 more times. He beat me and Jon at A New Day, and he's beat Mark Million twice. He's on fire right now. There's no denying that. But Scotty boy, TONIGHT...in the nation's capitol, the ride comes to an end for ya', my man. You might walk outta the Verizon Center World Champ, but you WON'T be walkin' outta here with a win over me. Nah, brutha. Not tonight. Tonight, Play time is OVER. You see, Scotty boy. You've got this false sense of security. You run around thinkin' that you got the whole world in the palm of ya' hand. And you might very well have exactly that. But on this night, Mr. Franchise steps in the ring with THE KING OF NEW YORK. And best believe when tonight's done, yo' bitch ass is gonna be CROWNED. HOLLA!!!

Mere seconds after he was done, Scott's music plays over the PA, as expected...

Disturbed's "Decadence" plays, and Scott O'Dell steps out into the arena. Not taking his eyes off of Jones, he makes the walk down to the ring with a smirk on his face. The fans boo his every step, as usual, but Scott's focus was firmly on the man in the ring. He climbs the steps, is handed a mic, and enters. Scott stands face to face with Jones and responds.

March Madness 2008. And what do I get? Not just a chance to win back MY World Title. But tonight it's also gonna be "Me & Mr. Jones". I'll agree with you on one thing, this IS the biggest match on the card. The King Vs. The Franchise, one more time. But that's the only thing I'll agree with. The last thing I ever suffer from is false senses of security. oh no no no, my security is sound. You see, great men...great champions aren't born. They're made. And me? I'm a self made man. One year ago, I came into this company from a no name fed that did shows in Santa Monica community center, to become the BIGGEST name in the industry. And how did I do it? Did I do it by playing to these idiots?

Scott points out to the stands as the crowd hisses at him.

No. Did I do it by kissing corporate ass like so many of the other "top dogs" in XWA? No. I did it by doing things MY WAY. They make the rules, I break the rules. While other people set standards, I RAISE them. I'm the biggest name in Pro Wrestling, and the reason is because unlike any of the other bucklejockies backstage, I just don't give a damn. I do what I want, when I want, to who I want, and there isn't a damn thing ANYONE has done about it date. And I don't see that changing, "homie". Tonight, when I beat you again, I'll have proven without a damn doubt that I'm the best in XWA, PERIOD. Because there isn't a man on roster, hell on the PLANT that's beaten you more times then I have. So by definition, the man who beats the man who can't be beaten, is the BEST. Tonight, I prove once again...

That I AM that god damn better.

With a smug look on his face, Scott await's Jones' response.

Jay-J gets right into the face of O'Dell as he replies to him.

Scotty-Boy,I been doin' things MY way since day one. There's a reason why they call me the REAL King Of Controversy. Every company I've worked for FEARED havin' me in there ranks cuz they KNEW I was better then their best, and the LAST thing they could do was control me like the puppets you see everywhere else. I'm the best wrestler on the planet NOT to be a world champion right now, and you know why? Cuz I wasn't considered "good for TV". They said I was two vulgar. And I told 'em FUCK YOU. They said I was two violent, and I came an earshot from breakin' some redheaded step child's NECK when I ended his streak. You've been doin' it, Scotty-Boy. I've been doin' it LONGER. I've been doin' it BETTER. There ain't a man in this business badder then me. Not you. Not anyone else in tha' Bid'ness. Because just cuz you can beat me, don't mean you're bad enough to BEAT ME. And that's why tonight, we're gonna do this right. You wanna be bad, Scotty? Fine. Let's be bad.

The crowd cheers in anticipation of Jay-J's next words.

DC's streets are some of the baddest in the country. And I ain't talkin' the parts that you suit wearin', limo ridin' ass walk. I'm talkin' the HOOD. So I'm more the certain that a lot of the people in the stands here are down for a good ol' fashioned brawl. So tonight, we're gonna have us one. You and me. NO DQ, No count outs, falls count anywhere in the building. That's right, Scotty. I'm callin' yo' punk ass out to a DC STREET FIGHT.

The roof nearly pops off the Verizon Center as Jay-J lays out the challenge to O'Dell.

Jones and O'Dell in a Street Fight? What a way to start off March Madness!!!

Scott doesn't flinch or back down an inch. He brings his mic up to respond.

A DC street fight? That's what you want as the Cou De Gras of this? *heh heh* Why the hell not. I've beaten you in Tag Team matches. I've beaten you in TLC matches. I've beaten you in wrestling matches. Beating you in your own element will be the icing on the cake. No rules fighting? I do that every night to begin with. You want a fight Jones? You've got one. And when the dust settles, I hope the three chumps I'll be taking on later tonight pay close attention. Because what I do to you, is gonna be just a sample of what I do to them.

With a scowl on his face, Scott drops his mic and gives Jones a Hateful glance. He takes a few steps back to the ropes, and climbs through to exit the ring as his music plays over the PA system.

Jay-J watches as O'Dell leaves the ring. A satisfied grin crosses his face. Tonight was all about pride and redemption. O'Dell was at the top of his game. Jay-J intended on showing that he was once again on top of his own.
