*The match was over. Kayn was successful in his first title defense against a worthy opponent in Nick Jones. Nick was good, however on this night, Kayn was just a little better and he held the Pure Title over his head as proof of that. Kayn’s entrance music blared over the house system as he celebrated in the ring, however not to far into his celebration, he was interrupted by a familiar character on the Jumbotron. Kayn turned to see…*

Blade appeared on the Jumbotron, mockingly applauding the Pure Champion. The crowd booed Blade as he spoke.
Congratulations on your win tonight, “champ”. I know you haven’t forgotten about me, and I definitely have not forgotten about you. I also haven’t forgotten that as the former champ, I am entitled to a rematch for my belt, however I figured I’d let Nick soften you up for me. So Kayn, I am officially demanding my rematch for the Pure Title.
Blade smirked as he waited for Kayn’s response.

*Kayn stood in the ring watching the Jumbotron. While Blade was speaking he walked over to grab a mic and waited for Blade to finish. Once Blade was finished, Kayn raised the mic and fired back at Blade.*
“Soften me up? What’s the matter Blade, are you too much of a coward to do your own dirty work to someone who’s ready for you? I hope you were watching the match because what I did tonight with Nick is nothing compared to what I’m going to do to you when I get my hands on you. You want your rematch? You got it!”
*The crowd cheered for their Pure Champion as he continued.*
“Since I know you’re here in the arena, I say we do it right now!”
*The arena exploded as Kayn answered Blade’s challenge with a challenge of his own.*
Mike: ”What?! Right now? Kayn just had a hell of a match and he wants another?”
Buzz: ”I told you he’s stupid Mike. I can’t wait for Blade to get out here and whip him from post to post.”
*Kayn lowered the mic but could still be heard saying “Come on, get down here.” as he held the ropes open for Blade to come to the ring.*

Blade laughed at Kayn as he watched from the back. Blade responded.
No, no, no. Not tonight. These people don’t deserve to see me two times in one night. As a matter of fact, these crowds don’t deserve to see me regain my title until Vendetta. That is where I want my rematch.
The crowd booed even louder at the image of Blade on the screen. Blade then placed his finger on his chin, tapped it for a moment.
However, since tonight you faced Nick Jones, I think I’ll up the ante. What do you say to allowing me to choose your opponent for the next episode of Takedown, not for the Pure Title of course but still have the match under Pure Rules. Unless of course you really aren’t the champion you think you are.
Blade smirked while waiting for Kayn’s reply.

*Kayn stood and stared at the Jumbotron for a moment. The crowd began to chant his name, and he knew he had only once choice to make.*
“You want to choose my opponent for the next episode of Takedown, huh? Well Blade, I’ll admit, that sounds like you really want to stack the deck against me. However, I’m always up for a challenge, so you go ahead and start searching under some rocks and you bring me whatever piece of slime that would associate with you that you want. I don’t even care if you get Godzilla to come to this ring, because I’ll defeat your mystery guest and come Vendetta, I’m going to defeat you again.”
*The crowd cheered as Kayn lowered his mic and waited to see if Blade would have a response.*

Blade smiled as Kayn accepted his challenge. He knew he had Kayn right where he wanted him. Blade began to speak again.
You’ve definitely got spirit, I’ll give you that. But I guarantee that before the next Takedown is over, that spirit will be broken, and after Vendetta you’re body will be broken and I will regain my title.
Blade laughed as his image slowly faded from the Jumbotron.

*As the Jumbotron faded, Kayn stood in the ring with the Pure Title in his hand. Never one to back down from a fight, Kayn looked at the Jumbotron for a few more moments before handing the mic back to the ring announcer. As his entrance music began to play once again, Kayn started to head back to the locker room area.*
Mike: ”Well Buzz, on the next Takedown, Kayn will be facing an opponent of Blade’s choosing. This might not bode will for the current champ.”
Buzz: ”He deserves whatever he gets. How stupid can you be to allow an opponent choose another opponent for you? I can’t wait to see who Blade gets to knock him down a few pegs.”
Mike: ”This is an explosive situation folks, and it’s all going to come to a head at Vendetta when Blade gets his rematch for the Pure title. But next Takedown, Kayn will be in the lion’s den when Blade chooses his opponent.”
*Kayn reaches the stage and looks out at the crowd. As they cheered for him, Kayn knew he made the right decision, not only for the fans, but also to test himself. If he wanted to be the most dominant Pure champion, he couldn’t turn down any match, even if he didn’t know who his opponent would be. Kayn nodded to the Japanese crowd, then disappeared behind the curtain.*
