Bringing the "X" back (Ames)

The familiar theme of Lionel Xander, The X Man...cues over the PA. The cocky superstar emerges from backstage with his usual swagger. He had an extra pep in his step tonight, because tonight he was going to do what a few other superstars had done over the course of the evening, stake his claim at one of XWA's title. The title that was his namesake to be exact...

X enters the ring and beckons for a mic. As the crowd showers him with boos, he begins his promo.

You would figure that you Japanese fans would know true talent when you saw it? Just as dumb as the Americans are. Tsk Tsk. You see, where I'm from, the great nation of Canada, we take the SPORT of wrestling as serious as you people. But you all still have the nerve to boo ME? A Canadian wrestler? Tha...that's like booing Jumbo Tsatsura. Or Yuji Nagata. Or ANTHONY INOKI!!!

The fans boo even more as X tries to compare himself to some of Japan's all time greats.

Ah, who cares. What do all you idiots know. This is the country that thinks Tom Selleck is a great actor, and 50 Cent makes good music.

Boos rain down even further. X turns his anttention to the task at hand.

I'm standing in this ring right now, because of one man. That man's name is Jimmy Ames. Why Jimmy Ames? Because he has something I want. He has something that has my name LITERALLY written all over it. The X-Gen Title. Oh yea, you knew it was coming. It;s the very reason I came to XWA back in September. Because I knew the X-Gen was going to be a reality. And I have built my CAREER on being Xtreme. High flying. Death Defying. That's me. In the X-Gen Division, I AM THE X. So it's only right that the right man for the job be the champ. And that sure as hell ain't you, Ames. So right here, tonight, I'm callin' you out. I want and X-Gen title shot. So get your Texas Longhorn ass out here Ames, I don't have all night.

The cocky Lionel Xander stands with a conceited grin on his face as he waist for Jimmy Ames to show.

And show he does. As his entrance theme hits, Jimmy steps into the arena holding XWA's newest male title. Looking around at the crowd, he hoists it up high in the air, and a HUGE fireworks display shoots off from the stage.

Buzz: I tell ya'. Their might not be a more popular guy in the locker room right now then Jimmy. EVERYONE just loves this guy.

Roach: We're watching him mature with our own eyes. Still the youngest male on the active roster at only 21, and he's held TWO titles already. I know the phrase has been tossed around by everyone, but Jimmy may very well TRULY be the future of XWA.

With a confident swagger of his own, Jimmy makes his way down to the ring. As usual, he greets his loyal fans along the walkway, and stops in from of the "trademark" hottie in the front row. Jimmy pats his cheek with his index finger and leans in, but the female instead plants one smack on his lips. The huge pop is heard from the crowd as even Jimmy was impressed. He looks into the camera and can be seen saying the words "I love Japan" off mic. Jimmy slides into the ring and raises the title high on more time. A mic is given to him, and he dials in his response to Xander's challenge.

The X Man. Who didn't see this coming, eh? I mean, how could a guy named The X Man not be the 1st to step up and be my 1st defense? I would have been disappointed if you didn't. Now, I know ALL to well of your track record. I know that you've excelled in Extreme Style matches for some time now. I knew from the wars you had with Bryan Yang last year that you were a tough son of a bitch. But then again, I can say the same about EVERYONE in the X-Gen Division.

Jimmy looks out to the crowd and nods. He turns back to X and continues to speak.

I mean, to be IN the X-Gen Division, you've gotta be one crazy son of a bitch. Because let's just look at the style we wrestle. Falls count ANYWHERE in the building. Weapons are not only allowed, but ENCOURAGED. Guys flying all over the place. Jumping over the ropes. Jumping into the front row. Off of ladders. Cracking each other with guitars and 2x4s. It's NUTS. But that's what makes it fun. Because their is no company around that's doing what we're doing.

The crowd gives Jimmy a huge cheer.

Buzz: Damn skippy. the X-Gen will change the face of what's considered "Xtreme Wrestling".

As X-Gen champion, I plan on defending this belt with honor. I intend on being a fighting champion. Bold words, I know,. Cuz in all truth, I could very well lose it tonight against you. But I'll tell you this, you're gonna need to be ON YOUR GAME for that to happen. Ask that chump Ryan Blaze. In fact, just go back and watch the tapes. He won the match, yea. But you look at the assk kicking I handed him, and YOU tell me I'm not wrestling the best matches in my career. A career that's ONLY 1 year old. I can only get better, Xander. But I'm STILL good enough to knock off anyone, at any time. And tonight, that's what I plan on doing to YOU.

Jimmy lowers his mic and waits.

Playing to the crowd. He knew Jimmy was "famous" for doing this. But X's mind was focused on cooling off the red hot Jimmy Ames.

That's cute. Really, it is. Damn shame you're NOT good enough to best me. You see, it's real nice that you're confident and all, but let's get real, Ames. I've got eight years experience. You've got one. Yea, you've held two titles so far. And was a two time champ your rookie year. Some might call that a show of what skill you have, and how good you may end up becoming. I just see it as exactly what it really is.

DUMB LUCK!!!

Let's look at all the matches you won last year. How many of em did you win convincingly? Not a single won. How many BIG matches did you choke in? PLENTY!!! Men don't change so drastically in such a short period of time Ames. As far as I'm concerned, you're still a lucky rookie, who's about due one hell of an ass kicking. That belt's comin' home to the man who IS the X-Gen Division. PERIOD.

X didn't at all seem very impressed with Jimmy's antics. He awaits the response of the champion.

Jimmy tried the sincere approach, but X was clearly not the "sincere" kind of guy. Looks like Jimmy need to be "Jimmy". He raises his mic and responds.

Where it belongs? Dude...It's already where it belongs. Right here on my shoulder. It it belonged on yours, you would have won it yourself, just how I did it. Oh wait...you choked in the 1st X-Gen Elim match. My bad...

Jimmy grins, as he knew that one would hit a nerve.

The problem with you Xander, is that no one's managed to SHUT YOU UP yet. You've racked up some impressive matches and wins since you came into XWA last year. And all it's done was swell your ALREADY swollen head up. Well tonight, I've got a pin. And I'm gonna burst that inflated ego of yours but good. You might think you're gonna walk in here and run me tonight, but I've got news for ya'. The way the evening's gonna go tonight in Saitama City is I take your Canadian ass to the back of the Dojo and make you my GEISHA.

The crowd laughs hysterically at Jimmy's one liner. Jimmy grins and continues.

You want your shot, Xander. You've got it. You might be The X Man, but after I'm done with you, you're gonna be something else...

M...A...D...E.

Jimmy's music hits the PA once again, and he drops his mic. Holding the title high once again, Jimmy give Xander a confident smirk before leaving the ring.

The scene ends with X standing in the ring. A smirk of his own on his face. He was poised to make Jimmy's run as X-Gen champion a short lived one.
