The Suffering: Part One (Mike Xavier)

E.Town Concrete's Pariah begins to play, signifying the arrival of the lost reigning champion in XWA's short history, Bryan Jasta. He emerges from backstage with the coveted National Championship draped over his shoulder. A grin on his face, Jasta proceeds to the ring with typical flair. Once inside, he heads to the northeast corner and stands on the 2nd rope, holding the title high as the Saitama crowd shower him with boos. Jasta revels in it. Handed a mic by the PA announcer, Jasta turns to the fans and begins his promo.

I wasn't in XWA to have made the 1st trip to Japan last year. So this year, me being part of this was a no brainer. Especially seeing as I'm the most prized champion in this company's history. When the book is written in 10 years...20 years...30 YEARS...on who was the greatest XWA National Champion of all time. There will be no debate in ANYONE'S mind the answer. ME. I've faced all comers for this title, and I've defeated each and ever one of them. Dru Nedermeyer once said "The mark of your career isn't how great youare in victory, but how gracious you are in defeat". Not quite, Mr. Nedermeyer. You see, how I view it, the mark left on your career isn't how much you win, or how much you lose. It's in the legacy you leave behind. And my legacy has already been set in stone.

Jasta grins evilly and adds.

I've done for this title more then ANY of the men who held it before me. I put this belt on the map. I've made it just about mean more in this company then the World Title itself. And why? Because my reign as champion is ABSOLUTE. The comment al of you should be thinking of isn't When Jasta Loses, it's IF Jasta loses. You all had such high hopes in Adam Devlin. But as well as he fought, he wasn't on my level. When I actually did have a "gimmick" it was "The Next Level". It was more then just a catchy nickname. It was LAW. And to this very day, it's yet to be broken.

Buzz: Try as you will, he's right. The only other man who's been half as dominant as him in XWA of the last 10 months is the World Champ Ethan Bain. And Jasta's done it WITH a title in hand.

Mike: I agree. As much as I dislike the guy, and think he's a total asshole, there's no denying that he might be the best to step foot in the ring today.

Jasta continues.

Tonight, I add to my legacy. About a week before March Madness, I was approached by the under achieving Micheal Xavier. A man who I must say is less then what I would call a "worthy opponent". What do I really have to gain from defeating a man who can't even finish off a loud mouth rookie? A man who's XWA career has thus far been marred by failure. What do I have to gain?

EVERYTHING.

Because Mr. Xavier had the audacity to say something along the lines of "he wants to give me the fight I desire". If his last match is any indication of what kind of fight he can fare, I really feel sorry for him. Because I'm about 50 level ahead of Jacques Lament, or Christian Pryce, or WHATEVER the hell the idiot is calling himself these days. But tonight, I'm feeling generous. I pretty much have free reign to name my challenger as far as this title goes. And tonight, I'm naming YOU and my challenger, Mr. Xavier. You want your shot, you've got your shot. So I can step in this ring, beat you within an inch of your miserable, pathetic life, and move on to find the potential "fight" I'm looking for. So congratulations, Michael. You're moment in the sun has arrived. Enjoy it, because the eclipses is fast approaching.

Mike:D...did I just hear that right? Jasta just GIFT WRAPPED Xavier a National Title shot? What the hell is he smokin'?

Buzz: THINK about it, Mike. Xavier's coming off a crushing loss. And there's no way he could have prepared that fast for a title match, much less a match versus someone as fearsome as Jasta. It's tactically GENIUS.

With a grin on his face, Jasta await the arrival of Michael Xavier.

It wasn't Xavier who stepped out, but Osiris Alston. And he didn't look very pleased.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOA!!! Hold the god damn phone here, Jasta. You come out here, and gift wrap a title shot to a mofo who ain't even won a god damn match yet? Are you BUGGIN'

Si makes his way down to the ring, joining Jasta inside.

Let's take a look at the 1st month of XWA. He took on that Kenny Florian wannabe Dawson, and LOST. Then he takes on that Pryce kid, and what did he do? He LOST. How the hell do you think that's a dude worthy of a title shot? I know what you're tryin' to do. You're tryin' to pad ya' damn stats, that's what.

Si shakes his head at Jasta. The fans were definitely into this very unplanned development.

You come out here and bust his ass tonight, then you pick some other punk bitch to whoop ass on next week, and BAM!!! You've defended the National Title eight times. You end up lookin' like you're superman or some crap. Oh HELL no. I ain't havin' it, playa. Month one, I beat Ryan Fierhart and Van Hayden, TWICE. Yea, I lost to Fierhart at March Madness. But I sure as hell ain't get my ass knocked out like a puss like Mike X did. That mofo is NOT a championship contender, I don't care what ANYONE says.

If there's anyone who's facin' you for that title, you're LOOKIN' at him. I deserve my shot. And If I have to bitch smack the next mofo to get it, I will.

Si stands with conviction as he awaits the response.

Michael steps out from the backstage area and places himself on the entrance ramp. Looking at Osiris and Jasta with a look of disdain on his face. If it was one thing he absolutely hated, it was being mistaken for someone else.

Now, let me set both of you straight, seeing as how you can't keep your own facts correct.

Yes, I fought Brian Dawson and WON!. I forced his head through the table, I made him bleed. I soundly beat his ass.

I, however, HAVE NOT faced Jacques Lament aside from the tag team match. Do you know who it was that faced him and couldn't finish him off? ANTHONY XAVIER. MY BROTHER!

We are not that fucking similar in look. He has long hair. I have short hair. He has a go-tee, I don't. He's taller, I'm shorter.

It's clear that you both have taken way too many head shots.

Osiris, just for showing your lack of intelligence, you shouldn't even be considered for this. Why don't you go continue on your little pathetic war with Ryan Fierhart. I'm sure he wants his ass kicked by you another dozen times. Not to mention, I don't see you giving Jasta any kind of competition. That's what I am here for. I am here, not only to prove that I am the same level as Jasta, but that I can do what few men have been able to achieve. Defeating Jasta and stripping him of that National title of his.[/b]

BuZZ: Uh oh....Seems Jasta and Osiris really fucked up on their claims. Jasta's known for making a fool out of his opponents on the mic, but it seems that the tables have turned.[/center][/font]

Si simply smirks at the comments of Xavier, then speaks afterwards.

Maybe if you and ya' bitch ass brother actually did anything worth mentioning outside of playing 2nd fiddle to the next guy, people would actually stand remembering which one of you is which. Frankly, I don't give a rats ass, what I know is this. Your ass is NOT worthy of a title shot. Never have been, never will be. You're a NOBODY. I would personally love seeing Jasta here beat your bitch ass bloody, but I don't want him wasting his time on 2nd rate talent.

He turns back to Jasta.

Unless it's like I said, and you're just trying to pad your own stats by takin' on bitch ass losers like this boring son of a bitch here. What's it gonna be, Jasta. You gonna take on someone who can actually hold his own, or do you want to face some loser who's forever gonna be relegated to fightin' the low level bums of XWA.

It snaps into Jasta's head what he was up against.

Oh wait, that's right. Michael Xavier. Yes...the Xavier that had his ass retired by Ethan Bain. Of course. How could I make that mistake. My apologies. But it still makes you a pathetic excuse for a wrestler, in that you were bested...beaten SOUNDLY by another man, and much rather the retaliate, you ran like a child being bullied in a playground.

The crowd boos as Jasta shakes his head at Xavier. He then looks to Alston.

As for you, granted, you've bested Ryan Fierhart a number of times. But let's not forget about your track record with this belt. Two times before you've tried. And two times you've failed. As far as I'm truly concerned, NEITHER of you are worth my challenge, but I'm obligated to defend against someone, and you two idiots just so happen to be the idiots of choice at the moment. So I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll please both of you. Tonight...

Jasta points to Xavier.

I destroy you, and end you on your merry way. And then next week...

He points to Alston.

I destroy you. And both of you get your wish of facing, and being beaten by me. Take it, or leave it, gentlemen.

Jasta lowers his mic, awaiting the response from either man.

Alston was none to happy with the words of Jasta, but at the moment, it was better then nothing at all. He looks to Xavier and speaks.

Even though I spent most of 2007 whoopin' Fierhart's ass, I'd STILL consider him about 5 times a better wrestler then yo' punk ass. You AND ya' bitch ass brother. As far as the title goes, I'm kinda rootin' for you to beat Jasta tonight, so I can beat your ass next week, and give you the title as the fastest man to LOSE a championship in XWA history.

He then eyes up Jasta one final time.

And as far as you go, if you win...no...more on the lines of WHEN you win, I'll be coming to end your little streak myself. Good luck ladies. Which ever one of you chumps wins is gonna need it.

With a snide smirk on his face, Alston drops his mic with a thud. He may not be getting his shot this week, but he will be getting his shot. That was all that mattered. He backs up to the ropes and steps through them. Dropping down to the floor, he gives both men a final glance before heading backstage.

Jasta, your a fucking moron. Jesus fucking Christ. I didn't face Bain. MY BROTHER DID. You call yourself a man that knows his opponents? It's apparent you don't know shit about me. So far, all you've been able to do is prove that you can be easily confused. Is this the supposed great man that holds the National title?

You're starting to be pathetic in my eyes Jasta. And pathetic men do not deserve to hold a title. When I beat you for the National title, the world will see exactly what kind of a man you are. Not one of skill. No. A man of luck. Because you've yet to prove to me here that you're anything else.

Yet again, Jasta was wrong. Jasta thinking that Michael was Anthony. There was nothing more pathetic than that. And it pissed Michael off. He lowered his mic, waiting for anything else that Jasta would say.[/center][/font]

Jasta pauses, and laughs out loud. Exactly the reaction he wanted to here. Truly a showing of dense Anthony really was indeed.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Classic. Simply classic. Look at you. You're FUMING!!! So angered that you're constantly mistaken for your brother. That fact that you haven't even caught on that I'm doing it ON PURPOSE makes you an even bigger idiot then I anticipated. My GOD how dense can a man be? If it's this easy to get under your skin, I should have given Alston the shot this week, and waited another week to torment you even further.

Jasta couldn't help but take full advantage of the moment.

Alston was right. As much as I hate to admit it, he was right. The shadow your brother has over you even in being a complete and total failure is immeasurable. It's sad even. The fact that everyone confuses you unintentionally for him, because you're practically non-existent. But then you think you can give me a fight? You can't even catch on when someone is purposefully egging you on without losing your shit. If you're that pathetic a tactician mentally, there's no way...NO WAY...you can best me in a physical contest. This might be the easiest defense I've had since Vincent Venom, HAHAHAHA!!!
Go on, I'll even let you have the last word. I may as well let you win SOMETHING tonight, seeing as it won't be our match later one.

Shaking his head at how easy it was to throw his opponent off his game, Jasta awaits his response.

Michael simply snorts. He tosses the mic away, turns and leaves. He didn't need the last word. He was going to give Jasta a beating that he wouldn't forget. That he would remember that he was Michael, not Anthony. That lie about him egging Michael on was nothing but a lie. Michael knew better. He knew when someone was lying. Jasta was doing just that. Come Takedown, Jasta would no longer be the National Champion.
