The Saitama Super Arena in Japan. A nation that had single-handedly taken the sport of wrestling into a whole new direction decades ago. In this country it truly was a sport, and for Magnus he was more than honored to be in these halls. As TakeDown aired live, his stoic theme song began to play and he stepped out to the stage with a nod. His hands on his hips, he had a certain confidence that was unbecoming of a man whom had been beaten three times by the same man the previous month.
He marched down the aisle towards the ring to a mix crowd reaction. The people of Japan were more than familiar of him and his style of grappling, having competed here for years before making his way to the XWA. A microphone waits for him inside of the ring.
It is an honor to be back here in Japan. For many a year, this has been the country that has offered me the most competition. There is no real need for me to say much, because for you all talk means nothing. It's all about action.
I can only hope that most of these lowly American imbeciles haven't bored you with their incessant banter on this night. Even myself have found it difficult to stomach some of the non-sense that these supposed wrestlers have saturated your ears with. It's tragic! It's a shame, and I am here to inform you that not all of it is talk. Not all is needless ranting and raving and that there are few...very few...amongst this XWA who are worth their accolades.
BuZZ: Wow, is Magnus actually being humble here? Maybe getting his ass kicked by Syrus so many times finally humbled him?
Syrus...you are NOT one of those individuals.
Roach: So much for that idea...
You have proven yourself to be one of the most fortunate, luckiest men on this planet. You have seized the opportunity when it came your way and came out victorious against me not once, not twice, but thrice. I would suppose that should garner some semblance of respect out of me...and in truth, it does but not nearly in the way you would expect. I respect your resourcefulness in battle. I respect your tenacity...but I do not, and will not ever respect your skill because to this very day and moment you have not shown an iota of skill in this ring.
There is a difference between being good at what you and being lucky when it is that do it. You my friend are in the latter category. You still know not the true meaning of skill. You simply gloat of victory...but how will you handle being defeated soundly. Your luck can only last but so long, and it will be I who is on the giving end of that defeat...it will be I, and it will be tonight!
I know that you are back there...come out and face me in this ring!
