Once in a Lifetime Opportunity (o2TNB or XWA)

As this week's non-televised XWA Live goes on the air. After the opening pyro sequence. "Master of Puppets" by Metallica starts playing loudly over the PA System. Genesis & his wife Sabrina walk out from the backstage area both hand in hand with Gen. carrying the National Champion over his left shoulder. The fans start to cheer loudly as they are surprised to see Genesis even being here tonight. Genesis and Sabrina both enter the ring together and look around at the crowd on hand. Sabrina goes and retrieves the microphone for Genesis from a camera man nearby. As she hands her husband the microphone. Genesis motions for the crowd to settle down as he hands the Nat. Title over to Sabrina to hold for him. He looks around the arena for a brief moment then begins to speak:

Genesis - I'm sure you all are wondering exactly why me & Sabrina are here tonight at this XWA House Show. Well normally as you guys might expect. Me nor Sabrina would take the week off and relax before heading off to the next Takedown telecast. But for this week. I just couldn't relax. I felt that with the momentum going in my way and with the roll that I've been on. That I should continue with that even through tonight's show.

But thats not the only reason why I am here. The reason I'm here is to compete in this very ring.

Fans start to cheer loudly.

Genesis - But I won't be defending my title here tonight. Its both against company policy and #2. I really wouldn't wanna defend my title here tonight anyways. My title matches are saved for the big shows. Not for you little people out here in the crowd.

Crowd sends a mixed reaction to Genesis after that last remark.

Genesis - But my point to all of this is tonight. I'm giving not one superstar.....not two.....not three....not four....but FIVE superstars a golden opportunity. An opportunity for this National Championship. Sabrina, tell these lovely Genenites out here the rest of the conditions.

Genesis hands the microphone over to Sabrina as she hands the belt back to him. As Genesis puts the National Title around his waist. Sabrina now begins to speak for the first time since her arrival to XWA:

Sabrina - (clears her throat then speaks) As my husband was saying. 5 lucky superstars in the back will get a chance to face a wrestling god for the National Title. These 5 men will compete, along WITH Genesis here tonight in a 6-Man Battle Royal Match. Non Title of course, haha. BUT.......there's a catch. So boys in the back. Listen up and listen good...

This match is open to any 5 TNB or XWA superstars that wanna compete. This is a first come, first serve basis. The first five people to come out and accept my husband's challenge will fight in the match here tonight.

Now if you wanna get a future title shot with my husband. All one of you guys have to do is win the match. And my husband will be more then happy to give the winner a National Championship match next week on TakeDown. HOWEVER !

If Genesis should WIN tonights match. Which I know he will. Then simply put, Genesis doesn't have to defend his belt at all. At least not until July's PPV Independence Day. So if he wins, Genesis doesn't have to defend his title next week. If he loses and one of you guys win. Expect a National Championship match here next week on TakeDown !

Sabrina hands the microphone over to Genesis as they both smile at one another and give each other a kiss. Then afterwards, Genesis speaks:

Genesis - Now I hope you idiots in the locker room heard all of that clearly. So now its put up or shut up time. The first 5 wrestlers to come out and accept my challenge will compete in this ring with your truly and "possibly" earn themselves a title match for next week's Takedown.

Genesis awaits a response from 5 XWA or TNB combatants that wish to participate.

Down with the Sickness hits and Kevin Killer steps out and says you have your first challenger.

Nitemare comes out the crowd and grabs a mike form the announce table.

Well genesis, sound nice. A man looking to keep his sley clean to till the PPV well evilish but nice, but i want a peice of this action. I have been out aswell for a minute but that dosen't mean that i won't give anyone hell. so bring out the calvary beause this match has officially become a nitemare. I want in !

Nitemare stands outside the ring looking towards genesis.

[Kayn]

*Hammer Smashed Face begins to play over the house system. The crowd comes to their feet as Kayn walks out from behind the curtain. Wearing his street clothes he walks down the ramp and high fives the fans near the barrier then climbs into the ring. He looks at the talent that is already in the ring, some familiar, some not so much. He walks over to the ring announcer and gets a microphone.*

“Genesis, it’s nice to finally meet you face to face. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kayn. I’ve not only heard a lot about you, but I’ve heard a lot from you. I’ve heard how you’re bad mouthing some of the talent here in XWA, saying that none of us have any respect for the people that ‘paved the way’ for this company. People such as yourself, Chris Lionhart, and others in TNB. Well I just want to say that is not true with everyone in this company. While there are a few bad apples in this basket, some of us actually give a damn about the heritage of this company and those who came before us. So while I have the utmost respect for you and what you have done, I’m here to not only answer your challenge, but I’m also here to win this match and face you for that title. Win or lose, I’m here to give our fans *Kayn points out to everyone in the arena as they cheer louder* a match they will never forget.”

*The crowd cheers as Kayn lowers his mic.*

The fans are paying attention to the men inside the ring and popping for the men already involved as a small murmur can be heard from fans in a certain section. The sounds grow from small groupings to an even larger section of the crowd as Sylas Styles makes his way through them, stepping over the barricade and as he gets into the ring the reaction has grown to a stadium wide cheering roar as he steps towards Genesis with his own Microphone.

Genesis.. I don't know these other two guys, but I know Nightmare, and I know he's capable of winning this match himself. I know I've beaten you before, so I know I stand a good chance at winning this match myself aswell.

It was basicly at my expense that you earned your King Of Controversy name, so I intend to, at your expense, get my very first title shot here in XWA. And, to be honest, I hope to hell it comes down to me and you in the end of this match, even though I'm not a fan of multiple wrestlers being able to gang beat me all at the same time. I don't care about it, because it takes away from their credibility having to double or triple team me to defeat me. Beating me 1 on 1 is where the glory is, and none of these other guys have done that. Nor have you. So, long story short, count me in because I think this match needs some extra ooomph if you want a classic match.

Sylas backs off and turns to the ramp as the music of final participant interupts him

Genesis - WOW ! This is turning even better then I had anticipated. I'm.....SHOCKED ! But even still yet. There's still one more spot to be filled. As of now, I see we have K3vin Kill3r, Nitemare, Kayn, and old adversary of mine, Sylas Styles. And of course, yours truely.


Genesis turns his attention to K3vin Kill3r.

Genesis - I'm going to start with you Kev. Now I must say that I haven't heard a whole lot about you. I can see that you are a gifted speaker. And judging by the looks of you. You seem to be dipping into the roids a little too much. Does XWA test these guys ? Sheesh !

But no matter. See Kevin. Its the nice that counts. Its what you can do with it. And from what I have seen out of you in your matches. Namely against an opponent that I know very well by the name of Shia Storm. Your not even in MY league ! Much less the same BALLPARK. If you couldn't handle Shia. What makes you think you can take me and these other guys out ? Huh ?

Genesis turns his attention to Nitemare

Genesis - You want in right ? Great. Consider yourself in the match along with the rest of the victims. You like, Mr. Killer up there wants to make a name for yourself. Well if that big purple outfit doesn't do it. I don't know what will.

But I'm not out here to talk about fashion. I'm out here to make a name for myself too. Sure I have a reputation. Sure I'm a former World Champion, Tradition, Evolution, Mid-Atlantic, Hardcore, you name it. I've basically done it. This National Title is just another belt to my collection of what will be MANY MORE championships to be added to my legacy.

You have talent kid. Looks for sure, but I see a fire in your eyes. I know you want this belt really bad. Well all you have to do is beat a one other guy, A Prodigy, A Killer, A Rockstar, & a KING to get the job done. Question is: Are you up for the challenge ? Because in my eyes. You don't have it what it takes to get the job done.

Moving on...

Genesis turns his attention to Kayn:

Genesis - You say you do respect me and the others who paved the way. Well that may or may not be true. But please, don't flatter yourself. But I won't stand here and bring you down. Cause tonight Kayn. You have a chance to redeem yourself. Show the world that you belong in wrestling. To show the world that you belong up there with guys like myself, Styles, Avenger, Lionheart, O'Dell, Wylde, and others. Tonight, is YOUR night. You wanna win this belt from me ? Then beat me and the rest of these guys. Then you face me next week, beat me just one more time.....ONE MORE TIME.....and this belt is yours. Think about that for a moment...

Genesis then turns his attention to Sylas Styles. And the fans start to erupt for a brief moment as a big smile comes across the face of Genesis. Then Genesis looks out at the crowd. And by the look on Gen's face. It was almost as if Genesis expected Styles to come out and face him. Genesis, just as he did earlier, motions for the crowd to settle down as he speaks to Styles:

Genesis - Now I must say. This IS a surprise. While I did purposly issue this open challenge to anyone to come out and accept. I had a weird feeling that came over me when I issued that challenge. I knew deep down that you would come out. And I'm damn glad you did.

We have quite history between the two of us. History that started exactly one year ago this month correct ? But its not about what happened one year ago. Its not necessarly about what happened in November. Its about what happens TONIGHT !

Styles, I gotta be honest with ya man. I never ever expected to see you again since our last meeting in the ring. Hell, I figured you'd finish off your career in Ohio and I would finish mine in Atlanta. We would end our career's as Legends. You went down your path and I went down mine. Though our paths were different. We both told the same story.

You say that your were responsible for creating me. "The King of Controversy". And you know what ? To a certain extent......YOUR RIGHT ! Your absolutely right !

The crowd goes into shock after hearing that and can't believe what Genesis had just said as the audience become dumbfounded.

Genesis - On that faithful summer night last July. You started my reputation. At the time, I had thought that had ruined my career. That I was finished. That I would never ever become anything in wrestling. You don't know how badly I wanted to rip your head off on that night. Cause it was just as bad as you wanted to rip mine off !

But as time grew on. That "bad reputation" earned me my success. You see Styles. I had people telling me all my career that I would never do it. That I would never win the big one. Never be a World Champion. Be nothing in professional wrestling. And for the longest time. I believed everyone. I believed the critics, the wrestling journalists, the boys in the back, everybody. I had actually believed my own publicity. I felt that I would never be anything in wrestling. And because I believed in all of that Styles. I lost to you in November of last year in our one faithful match at TNB World War 3 !

Now I'm not out here making excuses over that night. You beat me Styles....you beat me fair and square. Back then, I lacked something. Something back then was missing....I lacked the CONFIDENCE. The confidence to beat you or anyone else for that matter. And that is why I lost. Not only did I lose to you on that night. I also lost to myself ! I allowed me to beat me !

But being the fair man I was. I shook your hand and congratulated you. Funny thing is, I still remember what you told me that night afterwards. You told me "Place is all yours now man. Do the world a favor and either kill this place off, or make it worth watching again."

Believe it or not. I took your words to heart that night. Since that day. I've won countless championships. Including the World Title for TNB Wrestling. Becoming the first ever Evolution Champion for the company. In addition to being a former Mid-Atlantic, Hardcore, & Tradition Champion. And in doing so. Along with guys like myself, The Avenger, Lionheart, Maniac, Chris Steel, and countless, countless others. TNB Wrestling became the most watched wrestling program for the next several months !

I met the love of my life during that time and since have gotten married. As you can tell. ALOT of things has changed since last year. The way I see it Styles. The past is the past. Its ancient history what happened between me and you. And I mean that.

Fact is, you ruled the wrestling world up in Ohio. I ruled in Atlanta. Question is now that our paths have crossed yet again. Who is going to rule NEW YORK !? It can be either one of those 3 guys next to us Styles. Or it could be you....."The Prodigy".....OR....."THE KING" !

Crowd erupts into a feeding frenzy as the tension is just unbelieveable. You could literatly cut it with a knife.

Genesis - And let me finish by saying that with all due respect to the other guys competiting in the match along with us. I hope you are right. That at the end of it all. It comes down to both me & you. Cause then you will have a chance to finally prove to the world that you are truly better then I am.......OR....I can even the score !!!

Shia comes out his usual attire. He looks at all the men in the ring. He slowly walks down to the ring with the microphone in hand. He slowly climbs with eyes locked at the other guys in the ring.

Let me first saying congratulations Genesis for winning that National Championship. I mean, not everyone has the honor, and prestige to hold a title as great as the title that you are holding. You have to some kind of skill to get where you are at. I for one have seen you for my coarse of time in the major efed world. I kind of know what you are about in this ring. You, and I have never crossed paths really, but we were in the same company back in TNB, and now here.

Buzz: Seems like Shia is doing a little ass kissing if you ask me.

Mike: No one really was, but I think he's just giving the respect due.

You, and I never being in the same ring will all change tonight. You see, I intend on my making my mark in this company. In the past, I have let other guys go title hungry, and take the gold while I just beat the shit of them, and didn't say a word. Well, that's going to change because I have my sights on that title of yours. I don't know about these others in the ring, but my focus is tearing through the competitiion, and it really doesn't matter who it is. I have somewhat respect for everyone, but it's in this ring. It's all fair game.

He pauses, and a takes a breath

Take a long look at the title. Your days of being champion could be over before you know it.

Genesis - Well now, it seems we now have our 6th contestant. Mr. Shia Storm. I'm actually thrilled that you came out here Shia. You are right, we never had the chance to actually face each other in the ring back in Atlanta. To me, you were one of the guys who deserved a world title match back then. You had the same work ethic and dedication that I had. So I respect you for that.

However though, fast forward to the here and now. You and these other guys stand in my way. You see, you do have that golden opportunity to win this fight tonight and go on to face me for this title (Gen. points at the belt).

But its a matter of who it wants this belt more. Is it Kayn ? Styles ? Kill3r ? Nitemare ? or YOU SHIA ? Because not only do you Shia have to beat these others guys. You also have to beat ME ! And quite frankly, I don't think YOU or any of these other guys can get the job done. Despite there reputations of being the best (looks at Styles).

So in conclusion, from the bottom of my heart. I say good luck to each and every damn one of you. Because you will all need it.

Genesis drops the microphone as both he & Sabrina exit the ring and proceed to make there way back to the locker room area.
