Michael looked at his watch. He watched the seconds tick by. His match with Brian was the last he was going to have. He was done dealing with the lower tier of XWA. It was time that he moved on to big and better things. Well, not so much things, but persons. And there was on person he had in mind that he was going to mark with a bullseye. One man that set the standards of the National Title. That man would be Bryan Jasta.
Everyone saw how Jasta dominated his last match. The Spartan showing why he is as dominant as he is. There's a reason behind it though. The majority of the people that face Jasta are not up to his standard. They are not up to the level that Jasta is. Sorry to break the reality to them, but it's true. Very few are capable of being able to bring the fight to Jasta. There was one man that could do just that. Make the fight on an even level. Bring it to Jasta like never before. Actually make Jasta work. That man was standing dressed in a black leather jacket, red muscle shirt, black jeans and black leather boots. That man, was Michael Xavier.
He walked up to Jasta's locker room. The door was open. Michael leaned against the door way with his arms crossing his chest. Michael looked towards Jasta through his sunglasses that were resting on his face. Many thoughts were crossing through his mind but he only spoke one solitary word to get Jasta's attention....
Jasta...

Jasta turns around turns around to find himself face to face with a man he'd never faced before, but knew all to well about regardless.
Well now, look at what the tide rolled in.

I gotta hand it to ya Bryan. You're a beast in the ring. One of the very best that XWA has to offer. I've been eying you for some time. Watching you mow through the competitors that step up. Your last match was an example that the right people are not stepping up. They aren't challenging you.
So, with that, I can only guess that the Spartan must be getting quite frustrated with the lack of challenges. He didn't move. He just stood there, arms still crossing his chest. He was trying to read Jasta. Jasta was a hard man to read though. It would take more than a few moments to be able to read into Jasta. find out how he truly feels and such....

The last thing Jasta ever would be, is easily flattered. He saw through the fake attempt of sincerity like a glass window.
Your flattery only makes you seem like even more of a redundant moron than I at first thought. You're not at all paying attention to what I do. You're paying attention...to THIS.
Jasta pats the National title on his shoulder.
It looks good doesn't it? The XWA National Title. Without question THE most sought out title in wrestling. And why? Because I MADE IT that way. The title doesn't make the man, the man makes the title. And I've made this title the belt of ALL belts in XWA, because I actually can KEEP it on my shoulder. And I will. Devlin, Fate, Testudo, Venom...it doesn't matter who challenges me, they'll all face the same end. Defeat. And I know for damn sure that the only reason you'd even entertain a social convo with me, is because you wish to stake a claim at a title shot should...no...WHEN Devlin fails. Quite frankly, you haven't done squat enough to even deserve it. I can name dozens of more deserving men then you. So before you open your mouth to even word the phase " I challenge you", try EARNING a shot at me. I might actually think about it then.
His words were as sharp as white-hot daggers. He awaits the inevitable response.

Tck. I thought you would of figured better. Yea, you made the National title, and sure I may want it, but that's not the main reason of why I'm here Jasta. The main reason why I'm here, plain and simple is to fight YOU. To give you a fight that I know you want, that you've been craving. You tough act might fool some people, but let's be serious here. You haven't had a good challenge in a long time.
And if you even think I'm doing this for the title think again. Yea, the title would be nice to take off your shoulder, but again, it's not why I'm doing this. You may want to believe that, because you believe that no one in their right mind would want to fight you for the simple sake of fighting you. I do. Titles come and go, but its the fight that people want to see.
The crowd, they want to see a fight. A fight that's brutal. Where both men put everything on the line. Their bodies, their pride, their skill, everything about them. Make the fight the best thing anyone has seen.
That's why I want to fight you Bryan Jasta. Not just because of the XWA, but for the simple fact of putting on a fight and showing everyone that I am capable of being at your level. And maybe, just maybe, being able to beat you. A feat that no one has been able to do in a long time.
Sure you may question this. You have every right to. I haven't done anything other than put Brian Dawson through a table. And yea, last year I had my wins and losses. Didn't do much there either. Why? Look at the people I was fighting. Certainly don't compare to you though. So I'm stepping up my level. And your the first one that I want to face in that, because I can't think of anyone else that is comparable to you.

The twisted gears in Jasta's mind begin to turn.
The fight people want to see? HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Now that's laughable. You couldn't be any more wrong. The fight people want to see, is me versus say, the golden boy Jon Payne. Or me versus say, Syrus Sykes. Or dare I say even me versus Nedermeyer. THOSE would be fights I would consider on my "to do" list. A fight against you? Not so much. But then again, I have to admire the fact that as you said yourself "you're trying to step up your game". But coming for me off the bat, when I'm at the best I've ever been and STILL getting better, is like a small town High School Basketball team stepping on the court with the 96 Chicago Bulls. A little out of your "Weight class". But I'll tell you what...
Jasta runs his hand across his beard, grinning at what he was to say next.
I've got a means of seeing you are indeed ready to step it up to MY level. And I'll reveal those means at Takedown. What they are? Wouldn't you like to know. You see, I've made a career at being the best, at BEATING the best. I don't even need to run off the names. But after the next Takedown, we're going to see if you're worthy of stepping in the ring with me. When the dust settles, either two things will be decided. Either you'll have proven without a shadow of a doubt that you're up to task, or you'll prove that you're time has come and gone in this business. That is of course if you're man enough to do so.

You want to put me through some kind of test? Fine by me. If I have to through whoever to get to you? That's fine. I have no problems with that. You have every right to make me prove myself. I don't blame you one bit. I'll bring my A game and you bring your test subject or whatever idea you have in mind. Just know this. Win or lose, I'm still going to gun for you. This is one Xavier that isn't going to back down if he simply loses. That you can bet on.

Jasta shows and evil grin. He then responds...
Soconfident. So sure of yourself. I like that. But then again, so was that young fellow Kris Sayint. And so was Testudo before him. And So was Evan Fate. And so IS Adam Devlin. But the fact remains that the reason I've yet to get the fight I "desire" as you say, is because there's no one good enough to give it to me. And in due time, you'll find out exactly why. Oh, and good luck in your match tonight.
Jasta shoots him a smirk. He then hikes the belt up on his shoulder, turns, and walks off.
